Rare Clark Cooper Type 8 Ship Locomotive Train Air Horn Tyfon Nathan Kockums
Up for bid is a Clark Cooper type 8 long bronze ship air horn. This horn weighs 44 lbs. Horn is complete with all it's correct parts. Dimensions are 25"L x 9"W x 11"H. Inlet on bottom of horn is 3/4" NPT. Threads are in very good condition. Overall horn is in good condition as seen in the pictures. Has a small amount of grey and red paint in the throat of the bell. I have no knowledge of the heritage of this horn. Tested with 1/2" air line and got minimal sound with lot of air"whooshing" thru. Not sure if it needs greater volume of air or cleaning and tightening of the adjustable back cap. Great chance to own an older rare horn! Shipping available only to lower 48 states. Good Luck! It stands 16 1/2" tall and the horn(cowl) is 6 1/2" in diameter. Heavy for its size weighing in at just over 20 pounds. The name plate reads: CLARK COOPER CO, INC. PALMYRA, NEW JERSEY, TYPE S10(or maybe 510) Most of the rest is illegible, but you can make out Volts, Amps and Set 100. Clark Cooper made many types of sirens and some were electrical, so they must have used the same name plate on all of them. Steam inlet is 1 1/4" npt. Pair Clark Cooper Ship Air Horn Type 10 & 8 - Train Locomotive Nathan Tyfon Loud
Pair of Clark Cooper very old and very rare ship horns in excellent condition. One is a type 10 and other is a type 8. The type 10 weighs 79 lbs and is 27" long. The type 8 weighs 37 lbs and is 19" long. Both are solid bronze. Both tested at 80 psi and work perfectly. While they operate at a low pressure they do require a good volume of air. Inlet on the bottom of each horn is 3/4" NPT. Main photo has a DVD as a reference for size. Shipping to continental 48 states only. A 15 inch long. 5 inch trumpet diameter, very heavy air horn marked Clark Cooper, Palmyra, New York, Type(no type listed that I could see, though) I have seen these tested on Youtube and the sound is incredible. as pictured. Apparently these can be heard more than two miles away. Deep resonant tone.

Vintage Brass "Clark Cooper" Type 8 Ship/Railroad Horn ~ MUST SEE!
This is a Stunning Vintage Brass/Bronze Horn for a Ship or Railroad. It is in Great Condition with no real damage that I can find. Other than the discoloration from the age of it. I believe this from the turn of the century or earlier. It has been attached to a piece of wood for display, I believe, I did purchase this from an Estate in Texas. The estate was huge and I am just now getting to some really cool things like this item. I really am no expert on these type of things, but I think it's absolutely a wonderful piece of history! Old clark cooper brass ship horn. Back of horn about 8.5" across. Horn 13" in length. Chamber is brass. Bell appears aluminum. Horn weighs 18 lbs. Tested and works. Used my shop compressor and because of the length of the hose it took a second for all hose pressure to bleed off as heard in the soundclip. Have not tried to open or adjust anything on it. Inlet on bottom is 1/2" NPT. One bolt in backcap broken off as seen in picture but does not affect performance of horn. No markings anywhere on horn other than on back of chamber.
