It has PERKO and numbers in the bell that are raised in the bronze. A-23 and 150-12. The mounting plate measures 5+1/4 inches across. This bell has little wear and would be great for a restoration project, collection, or decorating a nautical room. This UNUSUAL antique brass hand bell was probably made in New York or New England in the mid 1800's or earlier. I was told it was a fog bell. The style compares to brass mortar and pestles made in the same era. The brass bell is 5 inches in diameter and 6 inches tall. Including the bras handle. I have never seen another one like it. Vintage Solid Brass Ship Captains Fog Bell, Nautical Maritime
This is a wonderful 7-3/4" diameter solid brass captains Bell in great condition. It comes with the mounting bracket arm on but does not include the mounting brackets. No dents or cracks needs a good brass polish after being on the creek for a few years. This would make a wonderful gift for the vintage nautical collector. Also has a wonderful rich. Sound you can really hear the quality of this bell. It weighs 11+ pounds. it measures 9-1/4" tall including ringer(stem) Stem measures 7" which comes outside the bell) without ringer(stem) it measures 8" tall. 7-3/4" diameter Bracket is 10" long by 1-1/4 wide where it fits into a holder. Vintage Brass/ Bronze 8" Bell in very good condition with nice patina. No dings. Dents or gouges were noticed. It measures 8" in diameter and about 4" tall without top nut(about 5" tall with it) and weighs just shy of 3 pounds. Looks like the original clapper and it appears to have been mounted on a ceiling, altho the ceiling bracket is missing one flange. I have no idea if that was original to this, but it is the way I purchased it at an auction many years ago. It does have a LOUD, but very nice and clear ring tone. Please ask any questions. This vintage large bell is about 6 1/2 inches tall and 6 3/4 inches in diameter along the bottom. It weighs between 2 1/2- 3 pounds. It is in good vintage condition and has great patina. I have not polished it and have left it in"as found" condition and will that to the buyer's discretion. It does not have a hanger. But the top knob of the bell raises up and down so you could hang it easily. The knob also unscrews and is removable so it may be hung in several different ways.
