Up for grabs is a old brass. Or bronze, Tugboat Ship Air Horn. I found it digging in a guys basement at an estate sale. Their basement was full of other old boating and shipping pieces. Living in the Seattle Puget Sound area you tend to come across this kind of stuff time and time again. These were typically used on Tugboats or other smaller commercial type of vessels that made numerous trips through Puget Sound and the Ocean. The previous owner was knowledgeable and told me that it should still work fine, and that it is very loud. Please note that I have not actually tested it though. This piece looks to have been painted a few times throughout its life. Imagine the stories it could probably tell! Hello. You are viewing my auction for an Antique Cast Iron Bell. I am unsure where this bell came from. Could it be a Large School Or Fire Department Bell? Is it a Nautical Cast Iron Bell? I am just unsure. There are no marks on the bell as to show who made it. This item was purchased from the estate sale of a gentleman who collected Antique English furniture and dishware. This is a very heavy bell that weighs 39 pounds. The bell by itself measures 15" Across at the bottom by 10" tall. With the top support bracket it measures 13 and 1/2" tall by 19" long by 15" wide. This is a Loud, Heavy, and Lovely bell. The bell is in good condition with no breaks. There is some rusting on the underside. There is NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING ON THIS ITEM. The person I bought it from in Maine said that it came from a Lobster Boat. The bell has no cracks or chips and has great patina. I did not attempt to clean the bell and the white spot on one side looks like a bird(probably Seagull) dropping. The stein measures 7.5 inches in diameter at the base. And is 6.75 inches high. Super Rare* Large Antique/ Vintage Wooden Brass Bronze Nautical Maritime Shipyard Bell Mold I can't find any others like this that have been sold! Fresh from an estate sale of a Naval Officer. I believe this to be a mold for a brass or bronze bell. Probably some how from the Navy shipyard. It is made of small blocks of wood, glued together then carved out into its present shape. The wood is painted black and appears to be oak. There is a"75# painted on top with white paint. No other marking that I can find. It stands approximately 13" tall and the bottom diameter is 14 1/4" The last pics show some bells with similar shapes that might have been made with similar molds.

Hamburg was a German ship that included both a military and non-military history from its first voyage in 1926 until it was scrapped in 1977. The S.S. Hamburg was. This is a pretty nice vintage ships bell from a boat yard sale that's being sold as is. It measures 8" wide at the opening x 5" high. And has a nice strong ringing sound to it. It would look nice on an old boat again, or as patio yard art. It has a 2 foot chain attached to the clanger. It has a time-aged tarnished finish from exposure to the salt sea air& weather. Not sure of it's age, or what metal or alloy it's made from, but a magnet doesn't stick to anything except the chain. It might've been chrome over brass/bronze, but that's only a guess. A very nice great quality ships bell made in to a lamp. Possibly school or fireman related? It is un-signed. Believed to be made by Vanduzen& Tift, very similar in design and proportions. The large cast brass eagle slides in top, looks very nice, might not be original to bell? Sits on a turned wood base and 3 small feet. The feet have some heavier losses, see picture# 7. Bell portion is bronze I believe, rest of metal appears to be brass. Bell has a nice"ring" to it when tapped. Measures approx. 18" tall with eagle. Bell is 9" diameter. Heavy, weighs 14 lbs. This old Bell is a recent estate find. It is most unusual. It measures about 5 inches in height The top flat part is about an inch and a half cross; the valve opens up to a maximum of approximately four and three-quarter inches: there is some green discoloration on the belt. That is why we think it might be heavy copper. But it could be brass bronze. It appears to be a nautical bell. We do not have the mounting bracket. The only Farisour Manemet portion of the entire bell is the wire that goes from the clapper to the eye at the top. Is quite unusual and it's shape. Is being sold as is condition. Bidding on a nice Antique brass 3-chime hand pump whistle. The whistle is in working condition. Stands approx 12" tall plus 2 1/4" with handle and the cylinder is approx. 4 3/8" in diameter. There are no cracks. Dents and the 3 mounting feet are all intact. This antique whistle is in as found condition with patina and will let the new owner polish if desired. These were only made from the late 1800's to early 1900's. There is no indication of who it was made by and very few had any maker marks or dates. They could have been used in early steam or gas launches and any vehicle that required audible sound for safety.
