Antique 6 Volt Horn Out of a Lyman Boat-Original Ahhh-Ouuuuuuuuu-Gaaaaaaaa Sound
This is an old vintage 6 volt horn taken out of an inboard Lyman boat from the late 40's I believe. It is 10-3/8" long and the base diameter is 3-7/8" It stands 6-1/2" high. It is an original Ah-ouuuuuuuu-Gaaaa sounding horn and the tone reminds me of a very large bullfrog that has smoked all his life. It definitely has the real deal tone! It is rusty on the surface but the horn is in working order. It does say 6 volt on the end of the base but I cannot find any other markings to tell what brand it is. If you are restoring a vintage inboard or outboard runabout such as a Lyman. Thompson, Cruisers, Inc. Up for grabs is a old brass. Or bronze, Tugboat Ship Air Horn. I found it digging in a guys basement at an estate sale. Their basement was full of other old boating and shipping pieces. Living in the Seattle Puget Sound area you tend to come across this kind of stuff time and time again. These were typically used on Tugboats or other smaller commercial type of vessels that made numerous trips through Puget Sound and the Ocean. The previous owner was knowledgeable and told me that it should still work fine, and that it is very loud. Please note that I have not actually tested it though. 1940's US Navy Harvard Lock Company Motor Boat Ship Bell w/ Clapper, 9x9x9"
For your consideration is a unique. Vintage US Navy-marked iron ship's bell forged by Harvard Lock and still. in excellent condition. This bell was procured from the original owner, still wrapped in mid 1940's newsprint. As a 40's bell, it was built to a wartime standard out of iron, not brass, and coated gold. I'm not a maritime expert, but the bell conforms to the size and weight of the specifications set by the included 1918 diagram for Naval Motorboat bells. This bell is in wonderful collector's shape with no cracks, damage, or significant wear! The clapper and top mounting bolt are included. Both in excellent condition. This bell is a very nice bell the lady I got it from told me her father had worked on the tugboat that it came off of. She said it came from the St Lois area. I can not verify this. But have found that there was a tugboat ship named Helena that was built in 1938. Anyway this is a very large bell solid brass has a beautiful ring to it. The base has a diameter of 18" and it stand over 20" high on the brass stand. I have not even wiped it off because the patina is so nice. email if you have questions.

Old Ship/Boat 8" PERKO Brass bEll. Its 8 inches in diamter at bottom. Its about 5 inches tall. Good used condition and fresh from a boat house. Could use cleaning. Has a nice deep loud sound. Vintage Small Ship or Boat Copper & Brass Fog Horn
For auction is a vintage mouth-blown copper and brass fog horn for a small ship or boat. These were used to signal one's position to other boats in conditions where visability was bad.This one has a couple of dents and a slight bend in the tube as though it was stepped on at some point. I did not try to straighten it. It still produces a very strong fog horn sound so the dents do not affect that aspect. The majority of the horn is copper with the mouth piece being brass. IT measures 13 1/4" long and it is 3 5/8" in diameter at the bell shaped end.

Listed for sale is an antique maritime brass pump horn/whistle. It is in very nice condition and the pull lifts smoothly. The wood handle is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks. The pump works fine. It is not as loud as a modern fog horn. But it is definitely audible.
