Up for grabs is a old brass. Or bronze, Tugboat Ship Air Horn. I found it digging in a guys basement at an estate sale. Their basement was full of other old boating and shipping pieces. Living in the Seattle Puget Sound area you tend to come across this kind of stuff time and time again. These were typically used on Tugboats or other smaller commercial type of vessels that made numerous trips through Puget Sound and the Ocean. The previous owner was knowledgeable and told me that it should still work fine, and that it is very loud. Please note that I have not actually tested it though. This piece looks to have been painted a few times throughout its life. Imagine the stories it could probably tell! This is an old Falcon air whistle or horn. It measures about 7+1/2 inches long and the base measures 5+1/4 inches long and 1+7/8 inches at the widest point. It has a lot corrosion from being out on the salt water. It is tested and is loud as hell and hurts my old ears! I was a construction worker for 25 years so I can't hear anything and its loud! 1940's US Navy Harvard Lock Company Motor Boat Ship Bell w/ Clapper, 9x9x9"
For your consideration is a unique. Vintage US Navy-marked iron ship's bell forged by Harvard Lock and still. in excellent condition. This bell was procured from the original owner, still wrapped in mid 1940's newsprint. As a 40's bell, it was built to a wartime standard out of iron, not brass, and coated gold. I'm not a maritime expert, but the bell conforms to the size and weight of the specifications set by the included 1918 diagram for Naval Motorboat bells. This bell is in wonderful collector's shape with no cracks, damage, or significant wear! The clapper and top mounting bolt are included. Both in excellent condition. This bell is a very nice bell the lady I got it from told me her father had worked on the tugboat that it came off of. She said it came from the St Lois area. I can not verify this. But have found that there was a tugboat ship named Helena that was built in 1938. Anyway this is a very large bell solid brass has a beautiful ring to it. The base has a diameter of 18" and it stand over 20" high on the brass stand. I have not even wiped it off because the patina is so nice. email if you have questions.

Vintage Small Ship or Boat Copper & Brass Fog Horn
For auction is a vintage mouth-blown copper and brass fog horn for a small ship or boat. These were used to signal one's position to other boats in conditions where visability was bad.This one has a couple of dents and a slight bend in the tube as though it was stepped on at some point. I did not try to straighten it. It still produces a very strong fog horn sound so the dents do not affect that aspect. The majority of the horn is copper with the mouth piece being brass. IT measures 13 1/4" long and it is 3 5/8" in diameter at the bell shaped end.

This is a pretty nice vintage ships bell from a boat yard sale that's being sold as is. It measures 8" wide at the opening x 5" high. And has a nice strong ringing sound to it. It would look nice on an old boat again, or as patio yard art. It has a 2 foot chain attached to the clanger. It has a time-aged tarnished finish from exposure to the salt sea air& weather. Not sure of it's age, or what metal or alloy it's made from, but a magnet doesn't stick to anything except the chain. It might've been chrome over brass/bronze, but that's only a guess. RARE Old BRONZE BRASS Copper BELL SHIP BOAT SAILBOAT Antique Vintage Nautical NR
This old Bell is a recent estate find. It is most unusual. It measures about 5 inches in height The top flat part is about an inch and a half cross; the valve opens up to a maximum of approximately four and three-quarter inches: there is some green discoloration on the belt. That is why we think it might be heavy copper. But it could be brass bronze. It appears to be a nautical bell. We do not have the mounting bracket. The only Farisour Manemet portion of the entire bell is the wire that goes from the clapper to the eye at the top. Is quite unusual and it's shape. Is being sold as is condition. Ship Boat Maritime Bell Genuine Not Reproduction Beautiful Peal
This bell is the real deal. The peal goes on and on and on so I'm positive this one is made of genuine bell metal bronze which has a significantly higher copper content giving it the genuine bell dark patina. It measures 6 3/8" across the bottom. The only marking I've found is a clearly stamped 12 at the top of the bell. In all the years I've had this bell I have never polished or attempted to"clean it up" It weighs 6-7 pounds so it's no lightweight. FREE shipping applies only to the lower 48 states. Because of the weight of this bell I won't ship THIS item outside the U.S.
