This is super rare 12 inch Perko bronze bell we aquired at a local estate sale. Just the bell measures 12 inches wide and the entiire thing is 10+1/2 inches tall. It has PERKO and numbers in the bell that are raised in the bronze. A-23 and 150-12. The mounting plate measures 5+1/4 inches across. This bell has little wear and would be great for a restoration project, collection, or decorating a nautical room. If you really wanted you could clean it up and make it look nice but you can't buy the tarnished and used look! It weighs 28 pounds by itself and weighs 32 pounds boxed up! The ship bell is approximately 7 1/2" x 6 7/8" x 8" and weighs in at 8 lbs 2 oz. The clapper hangs approximately 1 3/4" below the bell mouth. When I noticed the black color of the bell I originally suspected it was iron but it is non magnetic and I can see green oxidizing on the underside of the bell.
