These were typically used on Tugboats or other smaller commercial type of vessels that made numerous trips through Puget Sound and the Ocean. The previous owner was knowledgeable and told me that it should still work fine, and that it is very loud. Please note that I have not actually tested it though. This piece looks to have been painted a few times throughout its life. Imagine the stories it could probably tell! Up for grabs is a old brass. Or bronze, Tugboat Ship Air Horn. I found it digging in a guys basement at an estate sale. Their basement was full of other old boating and shipping pieces. Living in the Seattle Puget Sound area you tend to come across this kind of stuff time and time again. These were typically used on Tugboats or other smaller commercial type of vessels that made numerous trips through Puget Sound and the Ocean. The previous owner was knowledgeable and told me that it should still work fine, and that it is very loud. Please note that I have not actually tested it though. It bolted to the ship dek and you pump the cannister and it blows big time out the horn! Needs a polich, one bracket at foot missing? not sure what was there) has a big shallow dent in the horn part at the back and small scratches and dings here and there but overall really amazingly good, sound is awesome loud! Lot of 2- Three Tube Metal Whistles. I am listing these as whistles because that is what they look like to me. I do not know if they get connected to something or are stand alone. There is a hole on one end but not the other end. There are whistle type holes on end tube near the top. They have a lot of corrosion which makes me think that they were used on a boat or ship. One of them has electrical tape around it. I don't know why but I am not going to mess with it. When I blow into the hole. It does not sound like a whistle so I am pretty much at a loss at how these work. If anyone knows anymore, please message me. They are about 5 3/4" long.

Listed for sale is an antique maritime brass pump horn/whistle. It is in very nice condition and the pull lifts smoothly. The wood handle is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks. The pump works fine. It is not as loud as a modern fog horn. But it is definitely audible. Antique Chinese Boatswain's Bosuns whistle
800's- Early 1900's Silver plated Chinese Naval Boatswain or Bosuns Whistle. I don't know a lot about it. Although It has been in my grandparents possession for my entire 42 years and My father said he remembered it when he was a little kid, 73 years ago. I do know that friends of my grandparents were missionaries to China and brought back a lot of artifacts and things. There are no dents or damage to the whistle that i can find. It DOES appear to be silver plate over copper or bronze. It has a Dragon on both sides. There IS a makers mark on the front bottom on the rail that runs around the front of the ball. It is Marked Silver from before they had the sterling or.925 standard, Tarnished surface. There is also a mark at the end of the gun close to the mouthpiece, it looks like an A or a tooth I am unsure, I took close up pics so you can see all the marks that I found. Looks to be in pretty good condition. Scratches on one side and tarnished,as shown in pictures. Estate find. Measures 2-1/2" long. This whistle works and is very old. Antique brass boat whistle train air steam 24" in height maybe steam
Antique all brass hand pump air boat/ship whistle. This whistle is 24" in height and reaches 42" in height when the plunger is pulled all the way out. There is no marking that I see concerning the manufacture or when it was made. I have seen similar items for sale. But the cylinders on them are all smaller. Works and sounds wonderful. There is a very small dent on the whistle(barely noticeable) No dents on the cylinder, the plunger is straight and true, however the screws that would hold the top in place have been removed. It works fine even without the screws. Brass cylinder does need a good cleaning. But I'll let the new owner decide on how they want to clean it. Any questions. Please ask. I will respond. This is a BGI company ECHO 620 whistle they were nickel plated this was nickel plated but the nickel plate is wearing off there's still some nickel plate on it. INTERESTING ANTIQUE FOGHORN OR DIVING BELLOWS HARMONY WHISTLE FOR A.S. MORSS
This auction is for a interesting piece of Maritime history. This is a air bellows made for either diving or for a foghorn or both. It has a brass plaque on it that says. Harmony Whistle manufactured for A.S. Morss Co. Boston Mass. Patent Pend. The piece still pumps air and leather is free from holes. It has a nice primitive red paint on the wood and a leather hand strap. There are two holes in the top where the air comes out of and a hole on the bottom with a indent that looks like it would fit something. The hole on bottom does not push air out. I can't find anything out about Harmony Whistle but A.S. Morss Co. manufactured boating and Yachting hardware at the turn of the century and before. It looks like it could be a diving bellows as the two holes look like two air tubes could be fitted in them. It measures about 15 1/2" long ... moreand has a hook and latch to close it. ANTIQUE BRASS SHIP BOAT WHISTLE HAND PUMP STEAM GAS NAUTICAL
Bidding on a nice Antique brass 3-chime hand pump whistle. The whistle is in working condition. Stands approx 12" tall plus 2 1/4" with handle and the cylinder is approx. 4 3/8" in diameter. There are no cracks. Dents and the 3 mounting feet are all intact. This antique whistle is in as found condition with patina and will let the new owner polish if desired. These were only made from the late 1800's to early 1900's. There is no indication of who it was made by and very few had any maker marks or dates. They could have been used in early steam or gas launches and any vehicle that required audible sound for safety.

I was told at estate sale that this whistle was over 100 years old and was a police mans whistle in Oshkosh Wisconsin. was a whistle they put around there wrist and carried a bully club with it. and patrolled the streets on foot at night checking the doors and suspicious things going on. but that is just what I was told. this is solid brass or bronzed. it is the nicest whistle I've ever seen. there is a neat bird and the makers mark on the under side of where you blow into it. upside down R and a backwards K works well I am not a expert. STEAM SIREN ANTIQUE BRASS HORN TRACTION ENGINE LAUNCH BOAT WHISTLE LUBRICATOR
LARGE STEAM SIREN WITH ANTIQUE BRASS HORN Placed for auction is a large steam siren. The sounding mechanism of the steam siren is an identical copy of a U.S. Navy siren. I scaled it down for use on small live marine crafts. It has the centrifugal brake system just like the Navy sirens. The main sounding device is machined out of brass and has oil-impregnated bearings. The outside housing is made of Alum. with a black hard anodized finish. I did this to keep the weight down. The horn is an antique brass horn and it has small dings and scratches as shown in the attached pictures. It is used. The condition is very good as it has seen very little use The weight is approximately 11 pounds. The pipe size is ¾ NPT. The hex is 2 inches. The height is 14 1/8 inches. The main body is 5 inches in diameter. The width of the horn is 4 ½ inches ... morein diameter. It sounds great and can be heard for 2 or 3 miles. It is suitable for use on any small nautical craft such as steamboats. Launches, and traction engines. It requires little steam volume to activate. The normal steam working pressure is from 120– 200 PSI. It also sounds great on compressed air and needs 120 pounds of air(40 gal. tank) A ¾ NPT whistle valve is needed and not included with the siren. It should be suitable on a Stanley Steamers. Antique William Wm Boekel & Co. Chrome Air Whistle Ship Pump Patented 1889
This antique air pump patented by Wm Boekel& Co Aug 20. 1889 is in very good condition(not sure 100% original) and is a beautiful showpiece of workmanship. It appears that there is a place to attach fittings such a ship whistle, air hose or other attachments/fittings. The inside also looks good but I am not sure whether all the inner workings are functioning as the leather seals look worn. A collector will have a great time with this piece! It measures 21.25" from the top of handle when all the way in to the bottom of the base, with the base being 12" across. The gentleman who owned this was a collector of fine mechanical items and it is apparent that this was one of his favorites as it was well taken care of.
