Super Rare* Large Antique/ Vintage Wooden Brass Bronze Nautical Maritime Shipyard Bell Mold I can't find any others like this that have been sold! Fresh from an estate sale of a Naval Officer. I believe this to be a mold for a brass or bronze bell. Probably some how from the Navy shipyard. It is made of small blocks of wood, glued together then carved out into its present shape. The wood is painted black and appears to be oak. There is a"75# painted on top with white paint. No other marking that I can find. It stands approximately 13" tall and the bottom diameter is 14 1/4" The last pics show some bells with similar shapes that might have been made with similar molds.

AN AMAZING ANTIQUE SHIP'S BELL- BEAUTIFULLY WORN BY TIME AND THE SALTY SEA AIR This is a gorgeous ship's bell that has been sitting silently in the depths of my friend's garage. He's had enough of letting such a fine and unique item gather dust when there is a collector out there who will appreciate such a find. I do know that the S.S. Hamburg was a German ship that included both a military and non-military history from its first voyage in 1926 until it was scrapped in 1977. The S.S. Hamburg was. At one point, used during WWII by the Nazis. This bell was given to my friend by an older lady in payment for a kindness he did her some years ago. She told him she estimated it was used in the 40's(the S.S. Hamburg went through several bells. I have NO way to authenticate that statement. Antique Large 14.5" Bronze Great Lakes Maritime Ship Bell J.F.Durston
I am very pleased to offer this great ship bell that I acquired several years ago from a fellow who's great uncle worked at the one port where the ship came in and where he had access to the ships. His nephew had a passion for the ships items and he gave this to him before the ship was sold back in the day. It is signed J F Durston which is a Great Lakes ship which was in service from 1908 to 1961 where it was towed to Germany as scrap. THe bell has nice size with a 14.5" diameter and stands 11" tall. I have taken pics showing the front. Back, and inside. There is no cracks, breaks, repairs or deformities and has a nice patina.I did do the magnet test and it did not stick and was non-magnetic! This is a really nice antique heavy bronze or brass bell with a heavy bronze or copper clapper. It looks like it was hand hammered. I am not sure if it was a old railroad locomotive steam engine bell or a maritime nautical bell. I do not find any marks. It is very heavy 7 pounds and measures 8" tall x 7.25" across at the bottom. It is very loud and sound as would have been the case with a train. Ship or maybe school bell. VTG Antique BELL CREST cast iron metal Maritime Nautical SHIPS School 18th cent.
This is a very old antique bell with a raised pattern that looks like it may have been a crest. It is either a nautical/ maritime ship or school or farm bell. I am not sure if the metal is cast iron or possibly bronze or brass- it is too old to tell probably dating to 18th-19th century. It has a crack on the lower half below the crest(similar to the Liberty Bell) but is still very sturdy and adds to the charm. It is missing the clanger or clapper which I believe can be easily obtained. It measures 4" high. It is as-is and is really very charming. Thank you for looking. This Tyfon manual airhorn was made in Sweden ny Kockums. I cannot get sound to come out. Although the pump mechanism works. It is 24" tall, 36" with the horn extended. Very unusual piece. Purchased from an estate. I really couldn't find any substantial information on the piece except that it is a maritime. Hand bellowed fog horn. It works really well and is quite loud. Measures approximately 38" high by 16" wide. I disclose all flaws! Please ask questions! My intent is for complete satisfaction and a smooth transaction. Barn fresh antique faraday us ship foghorn.this one is all there but it needs restoration.this was used on American ships coming in to port during WW1.this one was made in Michigan it is all brass.this one has some rust and dents and dings but retain a great sea washed patina.this need some gaskets and there is a mud dobbers in the hose and nozzle.please look at the pictures.this would be a great addition to any navel or marine nautical collection.
