For your consideration is an absolutely beautiful piano stool in its original painted finish. This rare stool still bears the original paper label reading"BRIGGS PATENT PORTABLE STOOL- THE BEST FOR THE BEST PRICE IN THE MARKET- TRADE MARK- FACTORY PETERBOROUGH. N.H. The cast iron threaded seat support is embossed" J. BRIGGS PATENT PETERSBOROUGH N.H. PIANO STOOL WARRANTED OCT. 23,1866 DEC. 10, 1867" The stool is very solid and adjust in height from 19 1/2" 25" and has a 14" in diameter seat. The seat has been newly recovered with a supple piece of goatskin hide, tanned and finished in a tobbacco brown color. The stool being almost 150 years old does have some paint chips, scratches and wear, all adding to the item's wonderful character. Here is a vintage industrial drafting or task stool or office chair. The seat is vinyl and the legs are chrome. Did not find a maker's mark on it. The chair seat swivels and the chair is also fully adjustable. The seat adjusts from 21 inches to 26 inches(shown in photo at 26 inches) The chair back adjusts by 3 inches from 11 inches tall to 14 inches tall and also adjusts front to back. The chair at its highest is 37 inches tall from the floor to the top of the chair back. The distance between the feet is approximately 15 1/2 inches and the diameter of the foot rest is 17 inches around. Chair is sturdy and weighs 23 lbs without the box. Seat measures approximately 17 inches side to side by 17 inches front to back. The vinyl is a very cool red color and is distressed from use over the years. Vintage STEEL & WOOD INDUSTRIAL STOOL w/ FOOTREST
This is a vintage to antique industrial. Workbench, shop or drafting stool with steel angle legs and flat steel braces and footrest. All the steel members are riveted together. The outward faces of the steel have been wire brushed to metal, leaving a few flecks of old green and red paint, and sealed with clear acrylic. The inner surfaces were cleaned and painted black. The round wooden seat is edge glued 3/4" thick. I believe it is poplar. This has been roughly stripped and sanded to smooth, but leaving remnants of mainly green paint, with a few minor red flecks. This, too has been sealed with clear acrylic. A 3" section on the seat edge is flat. The seat is 12" across. The folded steel feet are 15" apart. Height is 26" It weighs 12 pounds before packing. This great stool is in very good, sturdy, structurally sound ready to use condition. This has come out of my own personal collection of vintage industrial style decor. When originally purchased I had every intention of refinishing this to its original natural wood finish, but with time I learned to love and appreciate the beauty of its as found condition with years of paint drips, scuffs, scrapes and old aged patina. Up for auction is. Super nice vintage Toledo UHL Drafting Stool. It is in great vintage condition. It has the original snap on padded green vinyl covers. Which have been protecting the wood underneath. The wood is in great shape, with no chips or cracks, just a few scratches and spots- see pictures. The base is in good shape as well, with just a little surface rust here and there. All functions work great, the seat adjusts from 23" to 31" all the feet are original and move freely, the back adjusts as well. The seat measures 16" wide x 14" deep, the back is 14" wide x 6 1/2" high. The foot rest is 16" diameter. Part of the original label sticker is still intact on bottom of stool. The original covers are in nice shape as well, they snap on and off easily. There is one small less than 1" rip on seat and ... moresome off the stitching on back is starting to come loose. Vintage Industrial Drafting Shop Stool UHL Toledo Era Steam Punk Machine Age
Offered is this fantastic vintage 1940's era machine age. Factory industrial shop or drafting stool. Looks like an early UHL Steel chair by Toledo but there are no makers marks so I cannot confirm. Adjustable back rest and seat in laminated plywood with sturdy green painted steel frame. Has tons of character and history with vintage wear and patina. Notice the stenciled numbers on the back which probably is a room number for a school or University. See pictures. The seat unbolts on the frame for height adjustments and the back rest is adjustable with a simple wing nut. Measures 36" tall from the back by 14" wide and 14" deep measured from the bottom legs. Seat height is 24" in the tallest position and adjusts down to about 18" to 20" Good luck!
