It is cast iron with a wooden seat and is attached ... moreto a piece of wood at the base. The casting design is quite ornate. The seat swivels but the height does not change as some stools do. I believe that the seat had fabric covering it at one time as there are small holes all over it. Possibly from staples? This fine piece would look great as a plant stand or even as a stool. It has mounting holes in the cast iron base for mounting it permenantly to a floor or just leave it attched to the existing piece of wood. The stool may be disassembled for shipment. The height is not adjustable. Get creative! Approximate Measurements The stool measures 19 1/2" tall and 21" tall including the base board. It has an approximate 6 1/2" diameter base. The seat of the stool has a 12" diameter. Markings None Condition Very good condition for its age. There is some minor to moderate scratches in the paint on the pedestal and base. I removed these from a midcentury piece ... morethat was in bad shape that I couldn't use but the legs were in excellent shape. The legs are about 2 inches wide at widest section(top) and go down to about 1/2 inch across at bottom. The legs are a dark stained wood and in great shape. They have the screws on top and the metal plates for connecting to your stool or table. The metal connectors have two holes for the legs to be screwed into(one puts the legs at an angle. The other allows them to placed vertically-straight up and down. You even get the screws to put the metal connectors to furniture piece! This is a great set of vintage mid century legs that would give you that finished touch to your vintage project or to replace legs on your mid century piece. Vintage / Antique Wooden Folding Ironing Board
Up for auction: vintage wooden folding ironing board. This was found in an old farm house from the 1800's. The date of origin is unknown. It is in remarkably good condition for its style. It still folds flat for easy storage. There are some markings and wear and tear but it could easily be sanded and refinished to be returned to its original beauty. Primitive antique foot stool wooden bench 2 layers of vintage textile cover
Cutest little footstool! All wood with chippy paint and a cloth-covered top with two layers of textiles that appear to be original. The seat pad is detached. See the pictures for the best description of the fabric- its a dusty rose color with a woven floral pattern, feels like a cotton texture and there are no rips but it shows its age. There is another layer of fabric underneath this covering but I did not remove the top cover to investigate. Both textiles are held in place with small tacks and are intact enough to clean up or add your own layer of history- perhaps a needlepoint. No weird/bad smell. Dimensions are 14" long by 10" wide by 7" tall at the frame plus about 3/4" for the pad. The joints and nails are in good condition but I would not plan to use this as a step stool(unless by a child) I did not find any splits ... moreor cracks in the wood frame and all of the nail heads look alike(a little rusty) so no signs of modern repairs. Just an adorable little ole thing! Very charming and functional; picture this holding your stack of books next to a favorite reading chair. Great primitive decorator piece! This is a vintage wooden foldup stool that measures 17" tall when unfolded. It is very sturdy and the canvas/duck seat is very strong with no rips or tears. The seat does have some discoloration from being folded up and used for years and there is some light water staining on the wooden legs. All giving this chair a real vintage feel! This stool is great for sitting on the bank catfishing, or would be a nice display item in an outdoorsy environment. I have a blue and a white stool like this that are listed. Estate Sale Purchase From A Fine Antique Asian Collection Description and Item Information Up for sale is this large. Vintage, carved wood display stand. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This objet d'art rests on four broad feet. It has sensitive carving, with openwork(pierced) areas. I do not know what type of wood it is; it is a hardwood with a teak tone finish and a tight grain,my best guess is teak wood. The display surface(inside the lip) measures approximately 15 1/2 inches by 9 3/4 inches. The overall dimensions are approximately 4 1/2 inches tall by 17 1/ 2 inches long by 12 inches wide. This wood is a heavy wood. This vintage old stand itself is a work of art, and it would elevate whatever object you choose to display on it. Identification The exact age of this Chinese stand is unknown. But it is vintage and purchased from ... morea very fine estate with many fine old Asian and European antique items. The original owner said his mother purchased this item was part of her collection for years. Condition This item looks good overall. There are some splits parallel to the grain. Likely from shrinkage of the wood. There are a few very small, scattered flakes and minor indents(see pictures for condition) It has minor wear and a naturally aged warm patina that can only be obtained through time. Vintage Antique Wooden Stool Unique Construction Homemade Rustic Decor
Up for bid is an old homemade wooden stool. Taken out of an old barn. This is being offered as found- does not set completely level. A couple legs are a bit loose(one has long ago stuffing around the top) and there is dirt. A few surface cracks, and much wear. This stool is about 12" long. 9 1/4" wide and stands 11" tall. Top board is about 1 1/2" thick. Weighs 4 1/2 pounds. Unique it that it is constructed with a couple bolts going through each end of the main board(old looking bolts) Has a grey colored paint type finish(fading and worn) Unsure of age or who constructed this stool. Each strap measures 2 1/2 inches wide x 15 3/8 inches long. They are done in a greatly colored needlepoint and are secured with tacks on the underside. Please note there are 2 tacks missing. This is too Cool for words! Not only is this a swivel style stool. But the legs have the most amazing detail on them! The bottom part is a cast iron bronze base with a face sitting on a clear ball. The clear ball part seems to be a heavy duty plastic, but looks like its glass. The underneath of the seat is mounted on black cast iron as well. This guy has the best looking legs if seen in a long time. This is why we buy Vintage! You won't see anything like this today. Although I've seen a few other piano stool similar to this. I've yet to see one with this kind of feet. I've seen the"claw' foot before, but I've not seen one with a"face" foot. That makes this one of kind even more of a unique and rare find. Vintage RUSTIC WOODEN BARN STOOL, HAND MADE Foot or Step Up, Lacquer finish
Purchased at a local farm estate in Lancaster PA. This is a nice, old, hand made barn, foot or step stool. Definitely hand made. You can see the chatter on the edges of the top piece of the bench. The cut lines on the inside are not professional. The bench is held together with tiny iron nails and some glue for the top. Over the decades the top had warped a little leaving a curved open space and an age/dry crack on the side. Still very study& solid wood, still usable to step up on, or as a child's bench. But there is the tiniest wobble as the measurements are off about 1/16" on the of the legs. Probably made of 3/4" solid pine lumber. It does have several layers of a glossy lacquer finish with some wear along the edges. There is an eagle decal? under the finish, The foot stool measures 13" x 7-1/2" and 8-1/2" ... moretall.
