I believe that the seat had fabric covering it at one time as there are small holes all over it. Possibly from staples? This fine piece would look great as a plant stand or even as a stool. They have the screws on top and the metal plates for connecting to your stool or table. The metal connectors have two holes for the legs to be screwed into(one puts the legs at an angle. The other allows them to placed vertically-straight up and down. You even get the screws to put the metal connectors to furniture piece! Vintage older wood footstool Nice old wood item what I assume to be a foot stool. The piece is old and quite original looks to be hand made. The item shows significant use and age. The finish is untouched and the wood patina is very attractive. There is a non distracting crack or split on the top center this adds to the flavor of the piece in my opinion this can be seen in the images. There are signs of past very old repairs as well. The images detail the item and its construction. Its craftsman made and doubtless for a specific application several decades ago I would guess it served as a foot stool. You are bidding on an old stool that I bought in Santa Fe. New Mexico at an antique shop. I do not know any other history than that I bought it there about 10 years ago. The stool is made from wood and is constructed with no nails. It looks like it was painted at one time or possibly it was made from repurposed wood that had been painted at one time. Please refer to photos. The top of the stool measures 5 ½” by 11 ½” The legs flare out to about 7” at the bottom. It is 8 ¼” tall. The seat is about 1 ½” thick. It is very level. But has a bit of a wobble due to the joins being a bit worn. But you can sit on it with confidence. We used it in our décor as shelf to sit a basket on. It has what appears to be a canvas covered top that is padded and laid upon a wood surface. It measures approximately 12” across x 9” front to back and 8” tall. It appears that the legs are pegged to the side pieces. I have taken a photo hoping to show that. I do not see any sort of markings that help to identify it. Small antique wood and leather foot stool from a local estate. I believe the upholstery to be original based on the stuffing. But do not know the provenance. Leather and sides are good to very good antique condition with mild wear overall. All tacks are present. Wood has areas of finish wear. Thin wood under stool is cracked/broken and loosing stuffing. Vintage Stool Vintage or antique carved wood(looks like mahogany perhaps) stool with needlepoint covered seat. Ok. You may or may not agree with me, but this sweetie is a real diamond in the rough. Kind of a mess right now, but boy is the potential there. This one calls for a creative person, a handy person.someone anyway. It is a small stool, but after some tlc it will be perfect for tired feet, for a kitty to lounge on, or a great photography prop. The dear lady who I acquired this from said she'd bought it as an antique 30 years ago and loved it so much she couldn't bear parting with it. The wood shows some real age so it may be an antique. Sold as is, obviously. So here is what we've got: 2 pieces. The carved wood base, ... moreand the round needlepoint top. 1) The wood base shows some real age, beautiful carving. There are 4 legs. One of the legs came off in the past and it was glued back on. In addition, that leg has a crack in it and I think it went all the way through. There were some modern screws attached in that leg, no doubt to strenthen the leg, they look terrible and have messed up some of the pretty carving. 2) The seat came off the base, anyhow someone mickey-moused the re-attachment job so that now the seat needs to be re-attached properly. 3) The seat has some 60s looking needlepoint with pink fringe all around and I think those may be the original tacks? Look carefully at the underside of the seat using the"zoom" feature. Probably several layers of fabric, etc(the photos are your best description here, but ask any questions you want) Measurements. It is about 14" high and 14" wide across the seat. Condition. The needlepoint is very dirty. Part of the fringe is gone and is a general mess. Vintage Wood Needlepoint Footstool Ottoman Black Floral Nailhead Antique Bench
Listing is for this lovely antique footstool. Good pre-owned condition with some wear. Scratches to the wood surfaces. Wood has a carved detail to the sides and down the legs. Top is covered with a black needlepoint with a floral center and nailhead trim. The piece measures 11" wide and stands 7 1/2" tall. Sturdy but as it is old it has just a bit of give to one leg. It would be perfect to accent any room or to use as the intended purpose of a footstool. Vintage/Antique Hand Crafted Childs WOOD STOOL converts to ROCKING CHAIR
This is a cute Wood Hand Crafted Chiar/Stool that converts to a rocking chair when turned over. Little stickers on the back of each chair/stool. The rocking area measures about 16 inches long. The seat 6 1/2 inches from floor, 10 1/2 inches to the top of the back of rocker. The Stool seat is about 11 inches from floor, 15 1/2 inches high to the top of the back. The seat areas are about 11 inches wide x 8 inches deep. THE ROCKER SIDE HAS A SAFETY THING IN THE BACK TO KEEP CHILD FROM ROCKING TOO HIGH. Beautiful Wooden Church Pew Songbook Holder This appears to be made of walnut- even the wood on the backside without varnish is a beautiful dark color. However. I am no wood expert! This rack has a small split of wood missing from the bottom slat. Please see the pictures provided for a better idea of what I see. Measures a total of 29" long. Bracketts on the end measure 8" tall(at the back) and 2 3/4" wide. The area where the slats are across the front are 3 1/2" tall. The clearance where the book itself slides into the rack is 1 3/4" deep. With the 2 large outside pockets measuring 11 3/8" wide. The center pocket measures 4" wide. Still has the original square nails in the back where they were attached to the pews. I purchased this from a local church that was originaly built in 1875.
