I picked this beautiful old Barley Twist chair up at the estate sale of an old lady who happened to also be a longtime piano and organ teacher. It's a splendid little piece with claw foot ball feet that we originally bought for our children but cannot keep. I'm honestly not sure on much else though as it has no visible markings(maybe I'm looking in wrong places) and my research hasn't yielded much-which has been quite vigorous! All I know is pretty much what I've described above and that it is solid wood. Stands at about 15" tall and is 9" wide in diameter(non-adjustable seat is 2" thick) making it much smaller than all other piano and organ stools leading me to also believe that it was originally made for little children-and that's what the estate sale professional said which also goes hand in hand ... morewith the ladies occupation.but who knows? I do weigh about 190 lbs however and can sit on it with no problem whatsoever, so this thing is definitely strong and sturdy! Anyhow. Standing up it measures approximately 17 inches high. It is made of solid wood and metal. I am told that the wood is mahogany. But am not completely sure of this. If you know how to determine this, just contact me to clarify. The structure of the stool is in good shape. It does seem to be very sturdy. And structurally secure. The 4 feet are metal and resemble a bird or dragon's foot holding a crystal or glass ball. They are all in good shape and would clean up nicely. The chair has an adjustable seat the spins to make it go up and down. I am not sure if this is normal. This is a nice condition Vintage Piano Organ Stool Chair. Has the eagle Claw and Ball feet. This was my grandmas. I'm no furniture expert on age. But from what I've seen I would say it is sometime between 1870-1900. Chair is in great condition. These stools with the backs are very rare. My uncle who is in the furniture making business repaired the top back of chair. You cannot tell except for the screws he used. Back of chair is 36 1/4 inches high. This listing is for an antique. Walnut piano stool with burgundy velvet seat. It has a maker's mark, but the first few letters are worn off. What I can see, looks like ITTER. The stool is 18.75" tall and 12" across the seat. The velvet does have some wear. The threads in the sleeve for the adjusting screw, are worn, so the seat won't adjust up or down. It does still swivel. Shipping is based on 20lbs, packed weight. Because of the package size, there is no international shipping.

This auction is for a vintage Bench or Stool from England. This is a well made bench that is very stable and sturdy. It can be used as a Piano Bench. Organ Bench, Vanity Bench or could be a nice additiona to your mud room as a stool. It has"under the seat" storage for music books. This is a wonderful little bench and has super eye appeal and it is can stand up to dailey use with normal care for a long long time. It's made out of mahogany. the seat cover is in good condition without any rips or holes. It is 21" wide. 14" deep and it's about 18 3/4" tall to the top of the seat. Antique Victorian Piano or Organ Stool I believe it is maple wood. But not sure. The top has been replaced, it is just plywood and a pink velvet fringed cover. The top is loose on the mounting plate, just needs screws. It doesn't swivel right now, but can probably be adjusted or repaired. The seat mounting plate is marked Tonk Chicago and New York. Stool is in great condition, only find one wood circle missing on foot area of stool(see picture) Stands 16" tall and 14" across. I strive to describe my items in detail. Older & Unique Piano Organ Vanity Bench Stool F/Scotland W/Lots Of Sheet Music
This auction is for an older and very unique Piano Organ or Vanity Bench from Scotland. What makes the bench more unique than most is that it appears to me to have been"home-made" or hand made. The maker new what he was doing and it is a very well made bench. But compared to the 100's of these benches I have seen over the years, this one was not made in a furniture shop enviroment. Looking closely at the bench, you can see lots of"saw marks" where the boards were cut, even in the legs& stretchers. You do not see this in 99% of the benches exported over from the UK or Europe. I really believe this was made by someone who knew what they were doing, but did not have access to the better tools like a manufactor of furniture would have on hand or automated tools. I would guess and it's only a guess, a husband made ... morethis for his wife, or a father for his daughter or mother. It's not a primitive piece, but it's also not a piece that came from a fine furniture store. When you look at this bench and realize the time spent, sawing, cutting, rasping out the"wavy" edges of the border and tapering the legs& making the"arched" stretcher supports, it took a lot of time and a lot of love to complete this bench. You can go into any Antique Mall or Shop and buy a nice piano bench for $100.00 to $200.00, but the odds of ever seeing another one like this are slim to none. It is however a Wonderful piece and would be a great item to have in your home. It also has a least 30 different pieces of sheet music from the 1930's, 40's& 50's inside the storage area of the bench. I think it's made out of Walnut, it could possible be mahogany, but I will stick with Walnut. It would make a great piano bench as well as an organ bench and could be used as a vanity bench or stool for your bedroom. Vintage Victorian Style Piano/Organ Stool Here is a wonderful vintage Victorian style piano or organ stool. This lovely stool has(3) cabriole style shaped legs and Mid-Georgian style feet. Center bottom may have had a finial on it at one time. Bottom plate on seat is marked with a diamond shaped logo with a piano stool in the middle of it and the wording stamped below it"Trademark" and the numbers"47878" One of the legs is stamped on the underside with the numbers. 77729 C" and the letters"HB" Fabric is also in good condition with no holes, stains or odor. Very good to excellent overall condition. The collar that holds the adjustable screw in place is missing. The bottom of the seat has a couple splits in the wood. But the wood is still solid. Antique Victorian Adjustable Piano Organ Stool Glass Eagle Claw Feet Vintage
This a beautiful piano/organ adjustable seat stool. Victorian in style with lots of ornate scroll work on the legs. Stem and horizontal supports. The seat is worn in with most of the nice grain showing through what was once a black seat. The seat is thick and wide(no cracks) with a 14 inch diameter. Its adjustable from a low seat of 18 inches off the floor to a high of 24 inches. This stool is very stable with the eagle claw glass feet a wide 15 inches square. The seat has a gorgeous leaf scrolling all around the perimeter, but its pretty worn and you have to look close to see the intricate detail. The feet are awesome with a full 3 inches of feather pattern in brass rising up from each claw. Age estimated to be around 1900. A very nice useable antique piece!

This listing is for an antique wood piano stool with claw and glass ball feet. The height is adjustable. When at the lowest. The stool is 19" high, and the seat is 14.5" across. The metal plate under the seat is marked: Tonk Chicago& New York. The stool swivels properly, no cracks or chips in the glass balls. The seat has finish wear, and there are several small nicks in the wood on the bottom rim. The holes in the metal plate under the seat were broken, and have been repaired. This can be seen in the last photo. Shipping is based on 20lbs, packed weight. Because of the package size, there is no international shipping.
