Cast iron stool appears to have its original dark green paint with black and gold highlights(see photos) The design of the cast iron work appears to have some Eastlake pierced open work grill design. In addition to the ornate Victorian drape effect of oak leaves and the scrollwork feet, and the flowing/swirling Art Nouveau oak leaf and vine designs. Appears to have original pine or soft wood cover top. With is covered with the original straw– the straw covered with remnants of original jute material. The jute is covered with a 1930s era cloth material. And covering this material is a worn dark forest green velvet. The wood stool top is easily recoverable if new owner should so desire. Heavy piece– weights about 16 pounds. Markings: impressed numbers“25” and“5” on underside of stool. Impressed into cast iron. Dimensions: stool measures about 17” inches diagonally(corner to opposite corner) And about 14” inches wide(x) 14” inches long(measuring at widest part of stool from outside foot to outside foot) Stands approximately 8 3/4” inches in height including wood velvet covering. Condition: Antique. Previously used. Overall very good to excellent antique condition. See photos. Appears to have original dark forest green paint with black and gold highlights. No broken. There are three bar stools in this collection. Little is known of these University of Michigan bar stools. But they are extremely rare and unique. They are made of cast-iron with specialized U of M logo on the leather embroidered seat cushions. The stools are about 24 inches or 2 feet high. The barstool’s diameter is about 1 foot or 12 inches. The bar stools are unique and their origin cannot be located although they may have been used in an Ann Arbor bar or restaurant decades ago. Antique Cast Iron Industrial Adjustable Swing Arm Stool (wall or table mount)
I will start by saying that I aquired(2) of these industrial stool sometime back at a local sale that was selling some items that had be salvage from some old industrial plant. This auction is for one of these stools and the other is listed in a seperate auction. This is a large cast iron swing arm stool with what looks like a maple seat. This stool would have mounted either on the wall. A large table leg, or on a large piece of industrial equipement. It has a screw up adjustable seat and a swivel bracket on the swing arm so it could be positioned in several positions. The seat is 11" in diameter and 1 1/2" thick. The adjustable height of the seat is that it could be adjusted up to a height of at least(6) inches. The swing arm and wall or table mount bracket combined are(14) inches long. There is no damage to this item. It has a ... morefew specks of white paint on it and there is some minor rust specks here and there. This is too Cool for words! Not only is this a swivel style stool. But the legs have the most amazing detail on them! The bottom part is a cast iron bronze base with a face sitting on a clear ball. The clear ball part seems to be a heavy duty plastic, but looks like its glass. The underneath of the seat is mounted on black cast iron as well. This guy has the best looking legs if seen in a long time. This is why we buy Vintage! You won't see anything like this today. Although I've seen a few other piano stool similar to this. I've yet to see one with this kind of feet. I've seen the"claw' foot before, but I've not seen one with a"face" foot. That makes this one of kind even more of a unique and rare find. Stool is in very good working order. You can swivel back and forth to your hearts content! Believed ... moreto be from the Art Deco ages; the 1920's or so. Beautiful. Victorian era, small, round lady's antique cast iron and wood footstool. The three cast iron legs and the edge of the solid wood base have been painted an egg-shell white/cream. Paint has chipped off in spots, adding to the character and age of the piece. The top is a beautiful needlepoint pastoral scene of girl on a bench next to a pitcher with a cherub; background is deep red orange. It may be the original, partial original, or a replacement cover. If original or partially original, it is in stunningly mint condition. If a replacement, it looks very authentic to the piece. There are nine decorative"balls" nailed into the bottom of the stool, three between each set of legs. One of them is missing on one side. The footstool measures 10" in diameter and 7" high. The seat and turned center carved and highly decorated column is solid walnut with very rare thick elaborate cast iron base legs ornately adorned with ornamental embellishments painted black and trimmed with gold. Antique Industrial Piano Stool Steampunk Wood and Ornate Cast Iron Victorian
Up for auction is an Antique Industrial Stool. Made of wood and cast iron. It looks to be pre 1900, but I can't say for sure. It is in good condition and has the PERFECT patina. The center section is all wood and has 3 cast iron legs, the seat has the original wood. It looks like the seat cover has been professionally recovered, there are some cracks here and there, the bottom of the seat is separated at the factory seam- just needs clamped and glued. The cast iron is a bit rough and could be sand blasted to smooth it, but that is your preference. The seat is adjustable, one it is raised it gets a bit wobbly, but at the bottom it is nice and sturdy. Beautiful Antique Ornate Cast Iron Victorian- Art Nouveau Footstool. Complete. Solid and very heavy cast iron. Cast iron stool appears to have its original dark green paint with black and gold highlights(see photos) The design of the cast iron work appears to have some Eastlake pierced open work grill design. In addition to the ornate Victorian drape effect of oak leaves and the scrollwork feet, and the flowing/swirling Art Nouveau oak leaf and vine designs. Appears to have original pine or soft wood cover top. With is covered with the original straw– the straw covered with remnants of original jute material. The jute is covered with a 1930s era cloth material. And covering this ... morematerial is a worn dark forest green velvet. The wood stool top is easily recoverable if new owner should so desire. Heavy piece– weights about 16 pounds. Markings: impressed numbers“25” and“5” on underside of stool. Impressed into cast iron. Dimensions: stool measures about 17” inches diagonally(corner to opposite corner) And about 14” inches wide(x) 14” inches long(measuring at widest part of stool from outside foot to outside foot) Stands approximately 8 3/4” inches in height including wood velvet covering. Antique Victorian Velvet Upholstered Cast Iron Vanity Bench Foot Stool Ottoman
This is an antique cast iron bench with dark forest green velvet upholstery. It has been reupholstered at some point and the fabric is in very good condition. Looks clean, does not have any tears or holes, the tacks that attach the fabric to the wooden seat are all intact and in good condition, and the trim is tightly woven with little to no obvious wear. The seat is heavy solid wood that seems sturdy. There are some age-related cracks in it that don't seem to weaken the seat at all. The cast iron legs are firmly attached with screws, and they are in very good condition with some minor scuffing and wear to the gold finish. Nothing is broken or missing. The bench seems a little high to be used as an ottoman. But I've seen others list it as one and that's what the antique dealer who found this thought it was. I think it would be ... morebetter suited as a bench, but might be used as an ottoman for a taller person. It measures 24" L x 11 1/2" W x 17" H.
