I believe that the seat had fabric covering it at one time as there are small holes all over it. Possibly from staples? This fine piece would look great as a plant stand or even as a stool. It has mounting holes in the cast iron base for mounting it permenantly to a floor or just leave it attched to the existing piece of wood. The stool may be disassembled for shipment. The height is not adjustable. Get creative! Approximate Measurements The stool measures 19 1/2" tall and 21" tall including the base board. It has an approximate 6 1/2" diameter base. It was originally RED on the top, you can still see the original color through the corrosion and rust. In all its natural glory. This awesome authentic dairy barn milking stool makes a great decor piece or photography studio or theater production prop. Sits fine and is still usable and stable. Measures 12" high. Seat is round, 9" circumference. Smaller circle with 1-1/2" star cut out is 4" around in circumference. Finish is rusty with some corrosion. Hardware appears all original. Top of seat is not completely level and straight, it has conformed a little from years of use and has slight bends present on seat, see all photos. Appears to be an all original. Primitive antique foot stool wooden bench 2 layers of vintage textile cover
Cutest little footstool! All wood with chippy paint and a cloth-covered top with two layers of textiles that appear to be original. The seat pad is detached. See the pictures for the best description of the fabric- its a dusty rose color with a woven floral pattern, feels like a cotton texture and there are no rips but it shows its age. There is another layer of fabric underneath this covering but I did not remove the top cover to investigate. Both textiles are held in place with small tacks and are intact enough to clean up or add your own layer of history- perhaps a needlepoint. No weird/bad smell. Dimensions are 14" long by 10" wide by 7" tall at the frame plus about 3/4" for the pad. The joints and nails are in good condition but I would not plan to use this as a step stool(unless by a child) I did not find any splits ... moreor cracks in the wood frame and all of the nail heads look alike(a little rusty) so no signs of modern repairs. It measures 15 inches long. 7 1/2 inches wide, and 6 1/2 inches tall. This step stool has mortise and tenon joints and very few nails. The sides of the step stool have a scalloped design. The wood is stained a medium brown. This step stool was made by my grandfather probably for my mother who was born in 1906 in Montana. So this step stool is well over 100 years old. He carved his last name(Miller) on the underside of the stool. The wood has some cracks, but this step stool is usable. This step stool would be welcomed by a collector of American antiques. Sorry. A nice antique wood slab 3-leg stool. The seat roughly 10" in diameter by 11"tall and a 1 1/2" rough cut sawn slab. Stands about 11 inches tall. Legs look to be hand shaved. Nice overall with some wear, no apparent damage, legs have a slight wiggle. Top has a minor split but is very solid. Look at pics and ask questions. Vintage/Antique Wood Primitive/Rustic Step Stool~No Nails ~Décor~Photo Prop
You are bidding on an old stool that I bought in Santa Fe. New Mexico at an antique shop. I do not know any other history than that I bought it there about 10 years ago. The stool is made from wood and is constructed with no nails. It looks like it was painted at one time or possibly it was made from repurposed wood that had been painted at one time. Please refer to photos. The top of the stool measures 5 ½” by 11 ½” The legs flare out to about 7” at the bottom. It is 8 ¼” tall. The seat is about 1 ½” thick. It is very level. But has a bit of a wobble due to the joins being a bit worn. But you can sit on it with confidence. We used it in our décor as shelf to sit a basket on. But it could also be used as a photo prop or just a cute stool for a child. This weighs almost 3 pounds before packing so the shipping cost ... morewill reflect that. Some age cracks in the seat as the very thick wood has been drying out over the decades. Sturdy and made to last. One leg is about 1/4" shorter and causes the chair to rock. This is an old milking stool I think? It is very stout- thick wood- top measures about 14" square and it is about 11 1/2" tall- it is handmade so one corner is about 14 1/4- the curved legs measure 10" around through the middle- larger towards top and smaller towards bottom- there is a gap- see photo where the top is slightly off in one corner and it looks hand carved as well- this is a conversation piece for sure- it may have been painted earlier- looks like worn paint chips here and there- please see photos. I know it came from an old farm estate. It may just be a foot stool but this is one true beauty. The stories this old bench could tell. Hand made from what I believe was one board cut into three pieces. Measures 24 inches in length. 11 inches in width and 12 inches in height. Study pictures closely, built for work and is still functional. After all these years it deserves decor status or used as a stand for crocks or other special antiques. This is another great auction find from Friday! Such a cool stool- three legged stool with a ton of character! As you can see from the pictures. It has been well used. It is great to use on the kitchen counter or on a mantle or even bookshelf for decorating with other primitives. This is not a stool to stand on. Antique Wood Spindle Long Bench with Cushions This is a very rare item. An antique walnut wood. Spindle wood, long bench with cushions. The red velvet cushions were made for this item. This item has been in our household for years and years. Used in our foyer, it made a beautiful and functional bench to sit, remove shoes, chat etc. Very. Very heavy, solid antique wood spindle, spun design. The wood appears to be walnut. The board on the bottom of the bench is thick plywood that is solid. You can literally stand on it. The underpart is further supported with wood slats. See all the photos. This is is selling as shown and described. Wood surface has normal surface age. With normal wear to the edges, some slight imperfections on the edges of the large side boards, however, the spindle sides are just gorgeous! In excellent condition with a superb ... morepatina. The cushions were made for this piece. They are very heavy, as it was over-covered using a very old inner piece. Red velvet fabric was used with boxed edges.
