I thought at first, it may have been an end stable at one time in it's life, but I am not sure. It has a real Arts& Craft era look to it, but it also has a primative look to it also. Antique Victorian Caramel Velvet Upholstered White Cast Iron Vanity Bench
This is an antique cast iron bench with velvet upholstery. It has been reupholstered at some point and the fabric is in good condition. Looks clean, does not have any tears or holes, but it does seem as if it has been glued on. The seat is heavy solid wood that seems sturdy. The cast iron legs are firmly attached with screws, and they are in very good condition with some minor scuffing and wear. Nothing is broken or missing. It measures 25" L x 12" W x 20" H. It will be disassembled if possible. Wrapped well, and insured during shipping.

This auction is for an older and very unique style of a Vanity Bench or Stool From France. I do not think I have seen a bench made like this one before. The are over 29" tall. It could also serve as a piano or organ bench but it would look super cool at the foot of a bed or as a"stand alone" stool in your den or family room. It's made out of oak and has a very dark oak patina to it. It has sweet turned post legs as well as handle. It's stable and sturdy. The materail over the seat is not bad. But it would be hard not to recover it with a fancy fabric of your choice. It has a real"Regal" look to it. It's been around for quite a while and has years& years of good service still in it.
