Cast iron stool appears to have its original dark green paint with black and gold highlights(see photos) The design of the cast iron work appears to have some Eastlake pierced open work grill design. In addition to the ornate Victorian drape effect of oak leaves and the scrollwork feet, and the flowing/swirling Art Nouveau oak leaf and vine designs. Appears to have original pine or soft wood cover top. With is covered with the original straw– the straw covered with remnants of original jute material. The jute is covered with a 1930s era cloth material. And covering this material is a worn dark forest green velvet. The wood stool top is easily recoverable if new owner should so desire. The fabric I choose was a copy of an old Williamsburg style fabric, so I felt it very appropriate for this lovely rare stool. I actually call it a bench because it is so large. Condition: The stool is in excellent condition with no breaks or flaws to the old lovely patina. There is a repair to one corner and I took pictures so you could see it. Other than that it is lovely. It has never been around animals or smoke. I restore and reupholster my furniture when needed and I have a big carriage barn that I store my antiques in.NO animals.NO smoke and I sell in lovely condition. Age is my best guess around 1790 to 1820. The rectangle of the footstool is not exactly square. Its off a little bit.but THAT IS HOW THEY MADE IT. Primitive antique foot stool wooden bench 2 layers of vintage textile cover
Cutest little footstool! All wood with chippy paint and a cloth-covered top with two layers of textiles that appear to be original. The seat pad is detached. See the pictures for the best description of the fabric- its a dusty rose color with a woven floral pattern, feels like a cotton texture and there are no rips but it shows its age. There is another layer of fabric underneath this covering but I did not remove the top cover to investigate. Both textiles are held in place with small tacks and are intact enough to clean up or add your own layer of history- perhaps a needlepoint. No weird/bad smell. Dimensions are 14" long by 10" wide by 7" tall at the frame plus about 3/4" for the pad. The joints and nails are in good condition but I would not plan to use this as a step stool(unless by a child) I did not find any splits ... moreor cracks in the wood frame and all of the nail heads look alike(a little rusty) so no signs of modern repairs. Just an adorable little ole thing! Very charming and functional; picture this holding your stack of books next to a favorite reading chair. Great primitive decorator piece! It has a lovely patina to the wood. And is stained a deep rich color. This unique three legged chair with side handles and a tall narrow back looks to me to have been hand carved. Up for bid is an old homemade wooden stool. Taken out of an old barn. This is being offered as found- does not set completely level. A couple legs are a bit loose(one has long ago stuffing around the top) and there is dirt. A few surface cracks, and much wear. This stool is about 12" long. 9 1/4" wide and stands 11" tall. Top board is about 1 1/2" thick. Weighs 4 1/2 pounds. Unique it that it is constructed with a couple bolts going through each end of the main board(old looking bolts) Has a grey colored paint type finish(fading and worn) Unsure of age or who constructed this stool. Up for bid is this antique/vintage gout stool/bench. We acquired it at an estate sale about 10 years ago and know nothing about its age. It has thick padded floral tapestry and is supported on wooden legs. It measures 21' long X 15" high X 12" wide and weighs over 16 pounds packaged. It is very sturdy and in very good condition. Vintage older wood footstool Nice old wood item what I assume to be a foot stool. The piece is old and quite original looks to be hand made. The item shows significant use and age. The finish is untouched and the wood patina is very attractive. There is a non distracting crack or split on the top center this adds to the flavor of the piece in my opinion this can be seen in the images. There are signs of past very old repairs as well. The images detail the item and its construction. Its craftsman made and doubtless for a specific application several decades ago I would guess it served as a foot stool. It is approximately 12" high and the top is approximately 12" by 12" Under the outer flowered cover is a quilted cotton partial pad. Then a black, shiny/slick pad, and then, at one corner and along the edges, you can see underneath the black pad some brownish sort of like straw( stuff. 2. This stool has an oval top that is approximately 15" long and 9" at the widest part. From ground level to top of stool. It is approximately 7 1/4" high. Up for auction is a antique needlepoint covered footstool. The footstool has a nice wooden base with nice lines around the perimeter and scroll work on the legs. The stool has unusual paw type feet. The finish on the wood appears to be original. The needlework portion of the footstool does have some wear spot that have material missing(see pictures) I suppose these could be sewn back in if one knew how. Rare Vintage Antique Victorian Piano Organ Stool Chair-Eagle Claw and Ball Feet
This is a nice condition Vintage Piano Organ Stool Chair. Has the eagle Claw and Ball feet. This was my grandmas. I'm no furniture expert on age. But from what I've seen I would say it is sometime between 1870-1900. Chair is in great condition. These stools with the backs are very rare. My uncle who is in the furniture making business repaired the top back of chair. You cannot tell except for the screws he used. Back of chair is 36 1/4 inches high.
