I believe that the seat had fabric covering it at one time as there are small holes all over it. Possibly from staples? This fine piece would look great as a plant stand or even as a stool. It has mounting holes in the cast iron base for mounting it permenantly to a floor or just leave it attched to the existing piece of wood. The stool may be disassembled for shipment. The fabric I choose was a copy of an old Williamsburg style fabric, so I felt it very appropriate for this lovely rare stool. I actually call it a bench because it is so large. Condition: The stool is in excellent condition with no breaks or flaws to the old lovely patina. There is a repair to one corner and I took pictures so you could see it. Other than that it is lovely. It has never been around animals or smoke. I restore and reupholster my furniture when needed and I have a big carriage barn that I store my antiques in.NO animals.NO smoke and I sell in lovely condition. Age is my best guess around 1790 to 1820. The rectangle of the footstool is not exactly square. Its off a little bit.but THAT IS HOW THEY MADE IT. This unusual stool has a built-in handle on the seat for easy carrying! The side panels feature carved crosses in rounded indents and added"beads" around the top(one"bead" is missing) The seat is painted a mustard color that doesn't match the oak grain of the sides. This piece measures 12¾" wide at the top. 10¼" wide at the bottom and 16" high. The bottom edges looks like it sat in water and is discolored and rotted in spots though the wood is very sturdy still so a bit of refinishing would fix that. There also are paint splatters in spots that I did not attempt to remove(light green) My guess is that someone refinished the bottom part but left the seat; there are a couple spots underneath where the paint is visible. Its in nice condition and works as it should but you can see in the photos that someone at one time added the red cover to the seat, they also had ugly yellow strips ontop of the red but I did take time to remove those. Vintage older wood footstool Nice old wood item what I assume to be a foot stool. The piece is old and quite original looks to be hand made. The item shows significant use and age. The finish is untouched and the wood patina is very attractive. There is a non distracting crack or split on the top center this adds to the flavor of the piece in my opinion this can be seen in the images. There are signs of past very old repairs as well. The images detail the item and its construction. Its craftsman made and doubtless for a specific application several decades ago I would guess it served as a foot stool. Beautiful. Victorian era, small, round lady's antique cast iron and wood footstool. The three cast iron legs and the edge of the solid wood base have been painted an egg-shell white/cream. Paint has chipped off in spots, adding to the character and age of the piece. The top is a beautiful needlepoint pastoral scene of girl on a bench next to a pitcher with a cherub; background is deep red orange. It may be the original, partial original, or a replacement cover. You are looking at a heavy duty solid wood antique work bench. This item has two vises on it. One at each end of the table top. The top is detachable, it also has a tray at the back of it. This work bench has a total of 4 large drawers, and 3 smaller top drawers. It has room for four, but one is missing. The 3 top drawers do so their age and use, they have some warping of wood. Shown in 9th photo. Also one of the bottom drawers has slight water damage on the bottom of it, but still fuctional drawer. This item measures(base) 5 feet x 26" w x 33 1/4" tall/with table top. ESTATE SALE FIND! Amazing antique wooden stool marked with a brass plaque that says Board of Education 24-1111. This puppy looks like it has been modified to me. Brass clips were added to the legs. Probably because they were loose. This is often the case as the old glue becomes brittle with age and can no longer keep the pieces tight. I also think the legs were cut down, maybe to a height more suited to a student. The wheels look like they were added on too. The seat is slightly dished, I don't know if it's because of many years of wear or if it was shaped that way when it was made. Measures 13 3/4 inches in diameter, 12 1/2 inches tall. This listing is for an antique. Walnut piano stool with burgundy velvet seat. It has a maker's mark, but the first few letters are worn off. What I can see, looks like ITTER. The stool is 18.75" tall and 12" across the seat. The velvet does have some wear. The threads in the sleeve for the adjusting screw, are worn, so the seat won't adjust up or down. It does still swivel. Shipping is based on 20lbs, packed weight. Because of the package size, there is no international shipping.

Antique Industrial Stool Steampunk Wood and Cast Iron Victorian
Up for auction is an Antique Industrial Stool. Made of wood and cast iron. It looks to be pre 1900, but I can't say for sure. It is in good condition and has the PERFECT patina. The center section is all wood and has 3 cast iron legs, the seat has the original wood. It looks like the seat cover has been professionally recovered, there are some cracks here and there, the bottom of the seat is separated at the factory seam- just needs clamped and glued. The cast iron is a bit rough and could be sand blasted to smooth it, but that is your preference. The seat is adjustable, one it is raised it gets a bit wobbly, but at the bottom it is nice and sturdy. antique foot stool COOL OLD WOOD FOOT STOOL, retro simple look
OLDER WOOD FOOT STOOL looks to be craftsman made based on the construction. I would guess produced prior to 1950 the color has a deep patina there is a lot of wear from use present as well. Some minor cracking as well from the wood drying out over the decades. Sadly the top wood was removed and replaced with a piece modern wood this is recent as well as the fabric shown. Wonderful small stool that can be easily restored. This piece would pop with a piece of older leather instead of the fabric shown. Neat item that would fit in a variety of older decors.
