Your looking at a vintage old stool found in grandparents attic with some old traps and bible from 1835. Need new paint and legs could use glueing but works great and holds at least my weight of 103lbs. I was told it was from Kutztown Pa. where all the amish are. Thats about all I know. The stool is made from wood and is constructed with no nails. It looks like it was painted at one time or possibly it was made from repurposed wood that had been painted at one time. Please refer to photos. The top of the stool measures 5 ½” by 11 ½” The legs flare out to about 7” at the bottom. It is 8 ¼” tall. The seat is about 1 ½” thick. It is very level. But has a bit of a wobble due to the joins being a bit worn. But you can sit on it with confidence. We used it in our décor as shelf to sit a basket on. This auction is for one antique/vintage wood step stool. I know nothing about this item so I will describe its construction as well as I am able. See the note below on collectables. It has what appears to be a canvas covered top that is padded and laid upon a wood surface. It measures approximately 12” across x 9” front to back and 8” tall. It appears that the legs are pegged to the side pieces. I have taken a photo hoping to show that. I do not see any sort of markings that help to identify it. It works for a step stool(that is what I used it for) but is slightly narrow and I wouldn't use it as a step stool for a small child. it could tip) I do not know the age but it is definitely vintage of some sort.
