Cast iron stool appears to have its original dark green paint with black and gold highlights(see photos) The design of the cast iron work appears to have some Eastlake pierced open work grill design. In addition to the ornate Victorian drape effect of oak leaves and the scrollwork feet, and the flowing/swirling Art Nouveau oak leaf and vine designs. Appears to have original pine or soft wood cover top. With is covered with the original straw– the straw covered with remnants of original jute material. The jute is covered with a 1930s era cloth material. And covering this material is a worn dark forest green velvet. The wood stool top is easily recoverable if new owner should so desire. Heavy piece– weights about 16 pounds. Markings: impressed numbers“25” and“5” on underside of stool. Impressed into cast iron. Dimensions: stool measures about 17” inches diagonally(corner to opposite corner) And about 14” inches wide(x) 14” inches long(measuring at widest part of stool from outside foot to outside foot) Stands approximately 8 3/4” inches in height including wood velvet covering. This offering is for the 49" beautiful ornate antique oak church pew pictured It has a feature that is extremely rare.ornate applied carvings on both the outside of the end panels as well as on the inside of the panels(near the top on the inside) In 12 or more years of buying and selling 400 or more antique church pews. I have never had any with applied carvings on the inside of the end panels. The pew has been shortened from its original length and is just as it was used in the church; I have gone over it with Old English to cover over scratches from the nearly 100 years of usage. It is completely authentic and is an attractive looking piece that would look great in your family room. Entry way, on your porch or patio, in a sun room, in an office or reception area, or just about anywhere seating you would like to place them. The pew ... moreis 49 inches wide at the rear of the pew. You can see that both end panels taper in slightly. Making the front of the pew slightly narrower than the back of the pew. The end panels are 38 1/2" high. When placed against the wall. The pew will extend out into the room 24" Seat height is 15 1/2" from the floor and seat depth is 15" There is a slight curvature to the benches that you can see in the pictures. There is a very nice 32 inch wide hymnal rack attached to the back side of the pew. There is also a copper visitor card or small envelope holder on the back; this is probably not original to the pew but was added at some time by the church in Williamsport. The pew has some scuffs and rubs in the finish from well over 100 years of service in the church but it is very sturdy and in nice cosmetic condition. The pew was originally much longer with a middle support piece in place.perhaps 20 feet long or more. Very old beautiful antique footstool. Although someone chose to remove the legs from this piece of history. It's ornate carving and original needlepoint still reflect the elegance of a bygone era. There are a variety of vines, leaves and flowers intricately carved on the base. Both the wood and the fabric show wear commensurate with it's age. Original springs and burlap covering remain. Both stools are in good condition and will support adult weight without issue. When swiveled higher, the seats do rock a bit. I've pictured the stools in a number of different positions, swivels higher and with the backrest adjusted. When these were purchased. They still had the original leather seats with horsehair padding. Unfortunately the seats were too torn up for ... moreuse and we've updated them. We retained the original wood base and have used black vinyl and foam padding. The seats can be attached to the stool with screws. One stool has black vinyl on the backrest. While the other is finished wood. We did not put the fabric on the backrest and have not tried to remove it. I could find no makers mark or anything else to identify these on the metalwork. One of the wood bases for the seats has a stamp on it. But I have not been able to make out what it says. I've included a picture of it. I am not sure what the original purpose of these were. One plausible guess was they were used in the medical field. Either for a doctor or dentist. When swiveled all the way way. The seats are approximately 18" from the floor. While the top backrest is approximately 30" from the floor. The seats are about 15" in diameter. If shipped. The seats will be removed from the base. Two boxes will most likely be needed. Antique Industrial Piano Stool Steampunk Wood and Ornate Cast Iron Victorian
Up for auction is an Antique Industrial Stool. Made of wood and cast iron. It looks to be pre 1900, but I can't say for sure. It is in good condition and has the PERFECT patina. The center section is all wood and has 3 cast iron legs, the seat has the original wood. It looks like the seat cover has been professionally recovered, there are some cracks here and there, the bottom of the seat is separated at the factory seam- just needs clamped and glued. The cast iron is a bit rough and could be sand blasted to smooth it, but that is your preference. The seat is adjustable, one it is raised it gets a bit wobbly, but at the bottom it is nice and sturdy. It measures 19" at the lowest point and raises from there, the base of the feet is 15" wide, the seat is 13 3/4" wide. If you have any questions please ask. Thanks.

Cast iron stool appears to have its original dark green paint with black and gold highlights(see photos) The design of the cast iron work appears to have some Eastlake pierced open work grill design. In addition to the ornate Victorian drape effect of oak leaves and the scrollwork feet, and the flowing/swirling Art Nouveau oak leaf and vine designs. Appears to have original pine or soft wood cover top. With is covered with the original straw– the straw covered with remnants of original jute material. The jute is covered with a 1930s era cloth material. And covering this ... morematerial is a worn dark forest green velvet. The wood stool top is easily recoverable if new owner should so desire. Heavy piece– weights about 16 pounds. Markings: impressed numbers“25” and“5” on underside of stool. Impressed into cast iron. Estate Stunning Antique Ornate Church Bench Pew Romanesque
This is a stunning. Antique church bench with fleurettes, schrolls and arches in the Romanesque style. I believe that it is made of oak but I am not an expert on wood. This bench measures 60" long from outside of arm to outside of arm. It is 19 inches deep from front to back and it measures 36" tall at it's tallest point. The arms are each 4"wide. The bench seat is 17" off the ground and is 13 1/2" deep from front to back seat. This bench is from the estate of an avid collector of fine antiques. It is in excellent antique condition. There are a few scratches on the seat. This would make a gorgeous addition to any decor. Please ask look at all images and ask any questions before bidding or buying. Bench is 18" tall. Seat is 24 x 12" Cast Iron has a new coat of paint. Upholstery is new also. It had vinyl green and yellow flowers on it. Sturdy. Colors are shade of red to burgundy and greens on cream. Heavy cotton upholstery fabric. Beautiful. Almost all of my items are from 30 to 150 years old. They will not look new. They will. Most likely, have paint loss, rust, dust and/or everyday wear on them. Please keep this in mind before you bid.
