It is a wonderful piece as it is carved on 3 sides and even has the original tools mounted inside. ... moreThere is a metal shoe frame mounted in the box so the customer could set their shoe on it for polishing. There is also a really neat measuring tool of some sort mounted in the box. This opens and closes by turning a key style handle. Also included is a shoe brush with bristles at one end and a pick on the back side of the brush. All the tools are in great condition. What I love about this piece is that it is a perfect size to use as a stool and display. It also is practical as it has a drawer in which you can store things in. The vintage fabric on top of the stool is sound and looks good. There is a crack in the wood on the uncarved side of the stool. The drawer knob has some of the edges worn/broken off but is sound. The hinges are in nice shape and there is even a lid stop/support. This is a wonderful piece of history and yet a practical piece to own. It stands about 16-1/4” tall. The stool top is about 14-1/2” by 12-7/8” I am not sure of the age but am guessing 1800’s. Primitive antique foot stool wooden bench 2 layers of vintage textile cover
Cutest little footstool! All wood with chippy paint and a cloth-covered top with two layers of textiles that appear to be original. The seat pad is detached. See the pictures for the best description of the fabric- its a dusty rose color with a woven floral pattern, feels like a cotton texture and there are no rips but it shows its age. There is another layer of fabric underneath this covering but I did not remove the top cover to investigate. Both textiles are held in place with small tacks and are intact enough to clean up or add your own layer of history- perhaps a needlepoint. No weird/bad smell. Dimensions are 14" long by 10" wide by 7" tall at the frame plus about 3/4" for the pad. The joints and nails are in good condition but I would not plan to use this as a step stool(unless by a child) I did not find any splits ... moreor cracks in the wood frame and all of the nail heads look alike(a little rusty) so no signs of modern repairs. Just an adorable little ole thing! Very charming and functional; picture this holding your stack of books next to a favorite reading chair. Great primitive decorator piece! Antique Storage Bench Seat Painted
I am not certain of the age of thie bench but believe it is early. The hinges to the seat are replaced and are newer so it cannot be dated that wat. The bench is 28 1/2 inches tall. 36 inches wide, and 14 1/2 inches deep. We used it in a spare bedroom as a seat under a window and stored winter sweaters. Sure it would fit into a mud room for shoes or a childs room to hide toys. I am only looking at local pick up due to the size and weight of the bench. It is located in Alexandria VA

Up for auction is this great. Old Railroad/ Train station bench! It has 4 separate seats. It is very sturdy and quite heavy. Some of the iron has a little paint loss and the wood shows some sign of wear here and there but that is all relevant and consistant with it's age. Overall, it is in great shape. The iron on the arms and at each end is very fancy and pretty! Just a great piece of American history! It measures 96 1/4" long, 31 1/2" tall, and 19 1/2" deep. A Victorian-Primitive. That's what we'll call it. The stool appears to be made from a plank with 4 boards nailed to it to add thickness. It's about 1 3/8" thick and has little or no padding under the fabric. Measures 9.75" X 14" and 8.5" tall. Iron legs have no breaks or damage. Fabric is dusty and could use cleaning. Vintage upholstered Deacon's Bench There are no labels or manufacturer markings on this deacon's bench but it appears to be very old and still in really good condition. The frame is very solid. The light green upholstery feels like velvet or velour with a matching trim. It may well be the original and it shown some wear. The underside of the seat is covered with a thin mesh. I inherited it from my mother who passed away last year at almost 100. She always said it was well over 100 years old when her family got it in 1890. The smooth finish. Antique Leather Tanner's Bench Lamp
This is an antique bench that was used by a leather tanner to prepare the skins. It has been wired and a pole added to make it into a lamp. I don't know if the lamp mechanism works. The bench is 53" long and 12.5" wide. It measures 24" from seat to floor and 58" to the top of the lamp pole. The 3 legs are hand turned wood. The seat is leather with brass railheads and the pedal that activates the wood block that holds the skins swings free. We are located about 30 miles north of New York City. Old Early Antique Shop Garage HD Solid Wood Original VTG Large Work Bench
You are looking at a heavy duty solid wood antique work bench. This item has two vises on it. One at each end of the table top. The top is detachable, it also has a tray at the back of it. This work bench has a total of 4 large drawers, and 3 smaller top drawers. It has room for four, but one is missing. The 3 top drawers do so their age and use, they have some warping of wood. Shown in 9th photo. Also one of the bottom drawers has slight water damage on the bottom of it, but still fuctional drawer. This item measures(base) 5 feet x 26" w x 33 1/4" tall/with table top. The top piece itself is 83 1/2" L x 29 1/2" w at widest point. This item is a nice early piece, and even though it does show it's age and use it's still a functional piece.
