There are a couple of places around the seat that the porcelain has a chip. One oak seat has a better finish than the other. I think they are in good condition for the age and could be refurbished to look very nice. They measure 25in. high with the seats on and the bottom is 24 in. tall without the seat that fits down in the hole. The base is 7 in. square and the seat is about 11 1/2in. wide. They both have a brass foot rest that slips right onto the bottom. I am showing you a picture of the foot rest and how it is made. They weigh about 28 lbs a piece. The seat and turned center carved and highly decorated column is solid walnut with very rare thick elaborate cast iron base legs ornately adorned with ornamental embellishments painted black and trimmed with gold. The top surface is solid walnut. Beautifully age distressed and also ornately painted in Hitchcock style design with gold accents. There are many potential uses in any décor. I have for auction an estate find. This is a Victorian Footstool. Often called a slipper stool. The legs are cast iron, with an ornate design. The legs are attached to a wooden frame that has been covered with horsehair, a batting and then the leather piece. From the underside their are 8 wooden balls that have been attached with nails. The leather has been tacked and nailed on the side of the board and then the legs were screwed to the top. The approximate dimensions are 11 1/2" long& 8 3/4" wide. The legs are almost 5" tall and with the cushion on the stool 6" high. I did not see any breaks or repairs in the cast iron. Art Nouveau Antique Bench Stool Ornate Cast Iron Legs Fireplace Bench (1014-20)
Bench is 18" tall. Seat is 24 x 12" Cast Iron has a new coat of paint. Upholstery is new also. It had vinyl green and yellow flowers on it. Sturdy. Colors are shade of red to burgundy and greens on cream. Heavy cotton upholstery fabric. Beautiful. Almost all of my items are from 30 to 150 years old. They will not look new. They will.
