On the top it is light and dark green. The cast iron fixture has Art Deco markings on it. The fixture has a ring to use for hanging the light. a beautiful antique chandelier. Gilded golden brass, two rings. There are an abundance of tear-pear drop with one flower drop crystal, beautiful solid crystals not new, vintage, however. There are two small holes every other pear drop crystal, which do not have a crystal, this is because if u put in more of the tear drop crystals they are jumbled up, so i have left these two free holes, doesnt notice when hung up, simply would look nice if there were more crystals. i would think that this chandelier probably had icicle crystals which are much narrower. diameter 8" drop 5.5" Chain length 9" I sell a lot of vintage retro lights. We can see a predominant Art Nouveau theme with Louis XVI elements. It originally had a central gas lamp and two additional lamps at each end. The gas lamps are now converted to hold electric bulbs. This is a counterweighted lamp: the center section can be extended/retracted with a chain and pulley system. This system works as it should except the chains could be longer. The bronzework on this chandelier is excellent. With high quality construction and nicely done details. It is nicely patinated to a medium bronze color and we did not attempt any restoration or polishing. The wiring and sockets are old and in poor condition and must be replaced before use. At first, I thought they were copper, but I think it's just the brass patina that makes me think that. I liked the design. I have up for sale a wonderful matching pair of Antique Vintage circa 1920s or there abouts Gothic Tudor Wall Sconces.Complete with original Amber Crackle Glass Chimney Shades. The underlying metal appears to be brass- with factory applied finish. The metal frame measures approx 14-1/2" with the amber chimney- the height is approx 16" The back plate measures approx 4-1/4" wide x 9-3/8" tall. Both sconce frames are in Excellent Original as found Condition! There are no damages and wear is minimal-the finish is excellent. No breaks. No cracks, Etc. The lamps will need new switches- as the old ones are absent. The shades are in very good shape. They have some minor nicking/ nibbles on the top rims but this is fairly trivial and not something at all noticeable. One shade has a small chip. Shown upclose in pic#10. They are ... morea heavy thick glass- and have excellent color and effect when lit. The bulbs that fit the lamp have to be the long slender type. You may have to screw the bulbs in from the top as the inner diameter of the shades are approx the same as the bulb and they will slide through the bottom but the sides touch on the lower section of the bulb. No big deal just do this from the top and no problems.They are old replacement shades-dating to the same era- almost identical to the originals-which are shown in my last pic. I have 3 more identical sconces- the only difference is that the shades on the set that is listed here are a bit darker in color and slightly heavier. From the same era. Flying Cherub Chandelier This is a super architectural item. It is an original flying gesso cherub. Holding not one but two cut glass crystal chandeliers. A round top bead and a long faceted piece. The wiring and holders are original. Which shows that this is a true period piece, not a modern reproduction. Please investigate this. Pictures#1, 4& 5 shows it with a clear crystal plate at the base of the globe. This is not an original part. The original part has been lost to time. I have another one of these globes with this original beige crystal"nipple" plate part. I can e mail you photo's of it, so that you may understand what the original nipple plate part looks like. I am selling the globe that does not have the original part. However, improvising with this clear glass plate it looks stunning. This clear glass plate is held in place by gravity on the inside of globe. It cannot slip through just as the original part was used. The reasons I ... moream letting this globe go as inexpensively as I am is the lack of original plate. That. And one of the clips that hold the two large halves of the main sections together is also missing to time. It is being held with three clips sufficiently& safely[originally it had 4] You can consider having a machine shop bend another replacement clip. This piece is very large as well as very heavy. Each of the two halves measures 14" across outer edge to outer edge at the widest point approximately. It has a circumference of 44" all the way around the widest point of globe. With out the clear glass improvised part in place and sitting the globe on the table. It measures 9 3/4" in height. With the fitter in place it measures 14" in height to the top of the hanging loop on the fitter. Approximately. The 3 clips measure 1 1/2" in length and 7/8" in width approximately. These clips have bends which snap it into place on the rims. There are 4 little indent places on the bottom half of the globe. Feel for these. The U bend end of clip goes on the bottom half of globe. Vtg. Antique- Lg. School House -Industrial Ceiling Fixture Light - Milk ? Glass
Offered is a great old ceiling mount fixture. I know its definately Vintage, Possibally antique but not sure. It's like a school house or industrial style, Has a large white glass globe, that I think would be a milk glass, The globe alone measures 16" across center, 10" deep or tall and the opening including its lip is 6" across center, when placed on metal Holder/ Fixture it hangs down approx. 14" from ceiling. Its Holder is a bit unique from most, instead of having screws that hold on the glass it has a colar with clips, once collar is off, you slip the globe on and then the colar goes over 2 tabs and you twist the colar to lock on the globe. The holder looks to me to be a sorta brushed aluminum and the colar I think is either a thicker aluminum or steel possibally. The Glass is in very nice condition with no cracks, ... morehas some tiny knicks on glass right around the opening on lip. The metal holder shows age of scratches and spotting(nothing major) but you could always paint it if you wanted it to look newer. Its a tiny bit indented where screws went, most likely from over tightening it a bit and the area that fits right up to ceiling has a round hole which I think may have had either a switch or pull type chain at some point coming out of it but it must have been removed.Its works fine and the socket is porcelain. Featuring a hammered texture this wall sconce fixture set consists of two smaller sconces on either side of a larger sconce. Sconces appear to have been modified with electrical wiring and vintage electric candles. Electric candles have also been decorated with wax to resemble a candle with wax dripping down the side. Architecturally these sconces have a medieval sense to them reminiscent of Gothic decor and would not be out of place if used as church or religious decor. In fact these sconces were part of a lot of items that did come from various churches in Chicago Area. I know that it was remodeled but I do not know when. We are updating the entire house now and I would really like these fixtures to go to someone whom appreciates them. They are very stunning and very eye catching. Each fixture holds 3 lights and as far as we can tell, they work well but that was on a quick test run and were never used on a daily basis but for the right person they would have No issues fixing any problem with them. Pale pink glass beads, with other smaller orange beads, forming a fringe around a shaped wire frame. The frame itself is covered in old metallic lame braid. I'd estimate that it dates c1920s so, unsurprisingly, the thread holding the beads on has broken in places& it now requires some restoration, involving re-threading the beads& sewing them onto the braid(there is a little bag of loose beads with the shade too. The frame part measures 25cm or approx 10" across& it comes with a chain& ceiling rose but would obviously need new electrical wire.
