GORGEOUS PAIR OF BRASS? SCONCES I think these are made of brass. They have a nice weight to them. They have gorgeous putti angels inside with a dog, and barbola roses and the tops have bows and tassels at the bottom. They are in good vintage condition, one arm has a tiny bent mark in it, I show in photo number 10, its minor but there. Very pretty, not sure if they work but wiring is there and it doesnt look that old. Not sure on age or origin but I dont think these are new. Measure: about 16" long x about 8.5" wide at arms and stand a little under 5" from wall. Antique B&H Victorian Hanging Oil Lamp Light Parlor Hand Painted Shade Prisms
Up for auction is a very nice B&H Victorian Parlor or Library Hanging Oil Lamp with hand painted shade and pull down mechanism. The color on this shade is a very beautiful blue/green with rose motif. I have purposely left the brass unpolished as the buyer may want to leave the patina. I am not sure if all the parts which usually come with this brand and style of light are all present. I have tried to take adequate photos but if you require more or additional explanation. Please feel free to message me. It is up to the buyer to know whether the light is complete. I know that it hangs there and lights up and does a great job of looking gorgeous. Beyond that there are a couple issues which I will let you know about. I noticed the pull down weight extension mechanism tends to let the light"droop" I'm sure this is just a matter ... moreof some type of adjustment and is not serious. The ring between the mechanism and the lamp does not want to seem to balance so it is horizontal. Since I do not usually deal in these, I'm not sure what this needs to make it straight. May also be something very simple. The actual oil lamp is a hobnail reproduction. There may be something more suitable out there that should go with this fixture. The shade has an irregular flat spot around the large rim which you can see in the photos. This does not affect it being able to fit in the ring and it is not visible unless it is removed from the ring. There are no cracks or chips in the shade but some of the gold paint has worn off a bit. All the prisms appear to be present but they could use a good polishing. This lamp will be insured by the buyer for shipment and will be packaged meticulously.

Here is a great pair of antique/vintage wall sconces, each one in the shape of a Temple Menorah with 7 arms, they would look amazing on any wall, the wiring is original so i would have it checked with an electrition, but it is all there, all original. i did not polish the brass so it is in old patina finish. The menorah part is all brass, the backplate is metal that has been gilded. the turn on and off switch is on the back plate and there are two holes for mounting to the wall. the wiring, like i said is all there from all 7 lights to the back. the pair are big measuring 14 3/4 inches long and 11 inches wide at the widest point.the sconces the backplate measures 5" round and are 6.5 inches deep, that means when mounted on the wall they protrude 6.5 inches from the wall. great for lighting a special spot. And with 7 small candelabra ... morebulbs, you will have a great look on the wall. they have an old look. With nice detailing on the front the brass is worn as is the back plate, you can polish up or use as they are. the candlestick parts are covered with white candle covers, and all the insides are there. i have not lit them, i would check with electrition or good handy man before using them. they are as found in an estate. They were stored in the attic for many years, ok the history of them is this, one member of the family said they were in their grandmother's home in the study over the grandfather's desk area, and that they were there for over 80 years, the other family member said that the family story was that they belonged to an older family relative who was a Rabbi and very learned, and he gave them to the grandfather, that is all I know about them, I purchased them a number of years ago and have stored them but never used them. so here they are to sell and find a new home. if you have any other questions email them to me before bidding. thanks so much. Folks. I bought this Holophane shade with several other antique and vintage globes. It has a cross hatch design. It is marked HOLOPHANE. Measures about 4 3/8" tall and the outside measurement of opening that fits into a fixture is 2 3/8" There are no cracks but there is a factory line that looks like a crack. See it in 3rd photo with zoom feature. There is one area with some tiny chips off the hatching but not too noticiable. There are some chips off of ring that goes into fixture. Another of my"absolute auctions" 99 cent start& no dreaded reserve. BARN FRESH" from Alabama(really) I did evicted the spiders(and other critters) However(comma) these have not been cleaned. Not rewired, not tested. nice and dusty with all the"original" dirt, spider webs, roach poop& patina included! These are real"Adam's Family" or the Munster's) decor. VERY COOL. Herman Munster would be proud to own these! Lots of 80- 90 year old original paint left on these fellows(see photos) No notable damage to the main support structure on these nice lamps(you will need to find a good mounting bolt for the center hole(see photos) The main structure is a cast metal. It is not cast iron as the metal is not magnetic. The"tin" bobeches(wax catchers) are bent/banged-up a bit. easily corrected ... moreby the proud new owner. The sockets are dirty. Two vintage Art Deco slip shade sconces made by Markel in the late 1920s or early 1930s. The sconces are made of a heavy. Solid metal(steel, perhaps? One(shown on the left in photo 1 and in photo 2) has the original painted finish, which is in good condition. With a nice, aged patina. The other(shown on the right in photo 1 and in photo 4) has been repainted. The sconce on the left appears to have been rewired and given a new socket in the not-too-distant past. The sconce on the right appears to have the original socket and wiring. They are both missing the original mounting bolts and glass slip shades. THIS ITEM IS ON SALE! Words can't describe how truly fascinating this piece is and how rare. When is the last time you have seen one of these? A Fabulous an old prism dome. It is covered with unusually cut. Chunky faceted prisms. It sparkles from every angle. In the middle is a large round faceted prism. There is some slight scratches to the center prism and slight wear to the tip. This can be used as a ceiling fixture and it takes two bulbs. It can also be used as a stunning display piece. It would look awesome on top of a mirrored plateau or a table or a sideboard. There are a few prisms that have come loose from the wire on one side(see pic 5) You could place a piece of clear tape on the inside of the dome and it would hold the few prisms in place. BEAUTIFUL UNIQUE ANTIQUE ART DECO 5 ARM LARGE BRASS CUT GLASS CRYSTAL CHANDELIER
We are pleased to offer this beautiful. Antique(c1930s to 1940s) brass chandelier. This wonderful fixture features a large brass body with a classical urn shape. On the lower section of the body is a large glass ball for accent. The glass is thick and appears to be blown with a sublte vertical pattern. It is deeply etched/cut with a flower on each side. The flowers have long stems and leaves which are also very deep and textural. The unique bottom brass finial is an exact replica of the chandelier body which is a very nice touch. There are 5 brass arms with lovely curved lines. Each arm houses a single bulb. There are 5 hurricane style shades which appear to be hand painted with a soft green and white leave and stem design. They are quite nice and have a ruffled top. The chandelier is very lovely and elegant. It is in very good condition ... morewith a beautifully aged patina. The wiring is cloth with some considerable wear. The chandelier measures 17" tall and 17" wide. The glass shades are 6.25" tall and 4.5" wide at the tops. They have a 1.5" fitter measurement.
