Antique Restored Beige Porcelain Sconces for bathroom. Original Levolier sockets
Antique porcelain bathroom sconces light I removed removed from my c1930 home in New Orleans. These were cleaned and rewired at a antique shop here locally several years ago. They have never been reinstalled. The sockets are original vintage Levolier parts with porcelain handles that fit over their switches. Which are located at the bottom of the sconce. They both work perfectly and have a firm"snap" when you pull/push them. They also include(what I assume) are their original, removable socket extenders which allow you to use shallow base bulbs which will not clear the porcelain of the sconce. They fit flush with the sconce and appear to have been made to go along with them. The receptacles were disabled many years ago and are no longer active. They have a lovely satin soft ivory patina and the flowers are bright and crisp and not ... moresurface painted. They are part of the glaze of the sconce. They looked beautiful with the ivory tile that was in my home but alas, the tile is gone, as is the house, so the lights are not needed now. I always hoped I'd have a place to install them but I'm too old to be renovating anymore so these hopefully will find a new home. These sconces include standard sized brackets for either octagonal.
