Pressed glass between 1926- 1936 in France, this is an excellent example of famous Degué glass, signed and guaranteed original. Also marked 732 France Circular with stylised flowers. Leaves and a geometric design, the thick glass, which was tinted blue in its mass during production) has a light frosted texture to the front that emphasizes the depth of the relief of the Art Deco pattern. The diameter is 35 cms or nearly 14 inches. Its depth is 9 cms/ 3.5 inches and it weighs over 2 kilograms- nearly 4.5 pounds. The glass is in great condition. FRANCE 1920'S MOULDED GLASS CHANDELIER, CENTER LIGHT SHADE SUPERB JEAN NOVERDY CHANDELIER This beautiful center light shade or chandelier was produced by Jean Noverdy in France during the 1920's. The moulded glass is in a pattern of clam shells in a beautiful peachy pink with a slight pearlised effect to the glass. The shade is clearly marked Noverdy France Depose. The shade hangs form three internal hooks on chains which then attach to a central ceiling rose. The chains and hooks are original. These have suffered some discolouration to the metal, but new chain can be purchased quite easily should you wish to change it. The ceiling pendent is new in an antique finish. The shade measures 34.7cm in diameter. There are a few chips and flakes to the underside of the rim. When it was a fierce rival of Cristallerie Schneider, and its output of comparable quality. It is in a delicate peachy-pink and has a modernist design of stylized flowers and spiky fronds. Antique European Chandelier My grandfather purchased this when he lived in Europe as an antique before 1977. I do not know exactly how old it is. But again, he purchased it as an"antique" before 1977. He bought several chandeliers in France(Paris area) and Italy. So it is from either place. There are over 60 Pieces. I am not a"handy" person.
