I’m very pleased to offer this stunning 1930s chandelier with six custard glass shades! Each of the five arms holds an especially lovely shade. And a sixth shade is on the bottom of the fixture. Wow. The chandelier is mostly brass. And the stem is beautifully detailed. I do not know who made the chandelier. But it is of high quality. The finial. Shades, chain, and ceiling canopy are all original. Nice. The chandelier is not actually restored yet. I will finish polishing the brass. And fully rewire. The exposed wire will be cloth-covered like the original. All this will take a week after payment is made. This fixture will be shipped wholly restored and with new wiring. Ready to hang, and with all the mounting hardware needed! DETAILS: Each arm accepts standard base 60W bulbs. The center shade is lighted by two sockets; these bulbs should be 7-1/2W round appliance bulbs(higher wattage bulbs could damage the wiring the clusters above the two sockets) The brass will be polished. It will not be lacquered. The fixture is all brass save a silver disk at the top of the stem. I cannot explain the why of this. The chain. Not brass, is painted gold. COLOR: Brass. You just need to find 2 bulbs to fit the 4" fitter and you have 2 gorgeous hanging ceiling light fixtures. They hang 18" from ceiling to bottom of the fixture. Two (2) Antique Vintage Ceiling or Wall Light Fixtures-Cast Metal and Brass
This auction features two(2) very unique antique ceiling or wall light fixtures. Constructed of both brass and cast ferrous metal. The base of the fixtures is brass, which is currently heavily painted over. Oxidized brass can be observed at the edge of the base and at the ceiling holes where the paint has been scratched off. The"canopy" is cast ferrous metal(a magnet is attracted to it) designed to appear like"roping" It, too is heavily painted, so I don't know the color of the underlying metal. The canopy is secured to the base with the large"nut" that also secures the light bulb socket. The light socket on both fixtures is the original Arrow 3134 socket and it visually appears to be in good. Working condition. Short pieces of wire are still connected to the underside of the socket where it was salvaged ... morefrom the ceiling. The socket appears to be constructed of copper and ceramic material. The dimensions of these two fixtures are: Base: 5-1/2" in diameter Cast Metal Canopy: 6" wide at the widest points Overall fixture height: 4-1/2" from the bottom of the base to the top of the canopy. These two fixtures are quite unique-I have not seen any that resemble them. They appear to be in excellent condition. I have not cleaned them. And I am selling them in the same condition as I acquired them. They definitely need to have the years of paint removed from them to return them to their original beauty. Double(two) bulb with finial hanging in center. Some wear, but original paint looks to be a light beige color on the base with light green leaves and pink/peach accent flowers. Needs some cleaning and touch up.I have not cleaned them. Original wiring, sockets and hardware seems to all be here, with the exception that one fixture is missing the nut that goes on the bolt to hold finial, which can easily be replaced for a cents on the dollar. Vintage ceiling light fixtures set of 2 with 3 socket lighting chain and mount
Vintage set of 2 matching ceiling light fixtures. They both come complete with glass. 3 sockets, chain and mount. One has good glass and a good base, the other one has a crack in one part of the glass and the base is rusted. Great for projects or make one good one out of the 2. They are 12" tall not counting the chain. The bases are 5" across, 2" tall and the mounting holes are 4 1/2" apart. They both need to be rewired before installing them. Lovely Vintage Ceiling or Wall 2~bulb Lighting Fixtures Matched Pair They measure approx 12" X 7" and approx 2-1/2" high to the socket and 4" high to the tip of the Ornate Metal Centerpiece. There is a very small chip on the outside of one of the sockets. I show this in my pictures otherwise there is no damage, no nicks or chips to the fixtures. I also show the wiring of which I do not know if they work. I always have my old fixtures re-wired with modern up to code wiring by my electrician. The fixtures are a dark Ivory to a slight Golden Color. Note there is some of the Gold detailing slightly worn on one fixture due to natural wear but does not take away from the beauty. In this auction I have a pair of vintage or antique ceiling light fixtures with shades. Both are made of white glass"Vitrolite" that was used in businesses and homes. Mainly bathrooms in the early 1900's into the mid-century. The pair I have are stacked square ceiling mount. They still have porcelain and brass hardware or sockets that can be removed. They have a brass chrome plated fitter with three screws. The shades are also made of vitrolite. Not white milk glass. This glass is more opaque. They are round bell like shaped. The fixtures size is 6" x 6" square flush to the ceiling. The fitter for the shades. This is the chrome part, 2-1/2" d. The drop with the shades is 7-3/4" ... moreand the bottom of the shades is 6-3/4"d. Their condition is very good. Not chips, cracks, or repairs. There are tiny nicks or fleabites around the top of the shade that goes into the fitter. This cant be seen when put together. There are holes in the fixtures for screwing them up to the ceiling and one other hole for a switch if needed. These fixtures have a nice Art Deco period look. Thank you again for looking.
