Cast Aluminum 5 Light Brown Tip Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier
Rare cast aluminum art deco 5 light slip shade fixture from the 1930's. Body was disassembled. Cleaned, reassembled, and rewired. Shades are in less than perfect condition, but look great when installed and illuminated. Each shade does have imperfections. Some exhibit chipped tips, chipped tabs along the edges, and spots in the finish. See images 1-12 above. As the title says I am also including an extra perimeter shade. Stunning Victorian Hanging Light Shade Dome Cobalt Blue Glass & Hammered Metal
This auction is for a Striking Victorian Hanging Light Shade or Dome. It is uniquely shaped with ribbed paneled glass colored in a vivid Cobalt Blue and accented with bright metal strips hammer chased to resemble feathers or leaves that come together at the base and meet a bright chased pointed cap. The piece also has a neatly stylized fitter ring with images of stars and prongs shaped like a dragon head. Overall. The piece is in good condition, especially for its age. There are no cracks or chips to the glass. Several o f the metal strips appear to have come loose slightly and the previous owner has glued them back(see last photo) Some of the cobalt coloring is coming off the glass. 1930's single bulb cast aluminum ceiling fixture with original custard glass shade. Completely disassembled. Stripped, painted, reassembled, and rewired with period appropriate white cloth wire. Unique pair of Art Deco lantern interior sconces with original frosted glass panels and polychrome finish. Lantern body and mounting plate green& gold painted finish remains largely intact. Sconce bodies do have some white over spray residue. UL tag remains intact on the back. Retain original bakelite sockets and functional switch. Mounting hardware included. Initially I thought these were exterior sconces. But the lack of a ceramic socket and the presence of a switch on the mounting plate has led me to believe they are unusual interior sconce.
