2 VINTAGE PAULDING PORCELAIN ART DECO BATHROOM WALL ELECTRIC LIGHT SCONCES
Here are 2 great 1930's art Deco porcelain wall sconce lights from Paulding. You will see in the pictures that they are in great condition. I have not tried to clean them and appear to be fully functional. The fastening screw is included and the pull chain porcelain end is also still intact. Very hard to find everything together. These also have the outlet on the bottom behind the pull chain. These can be wired 250v 10amp or 125v 15 amp. I have had some questions about the wiring so I have included 2 more pictures. Maybe from the 1930's The mark used is c. 1914-1930's and can be found in the Dresden Porcelain Studios Book by Harrans. Page 180. Handmalerei is German for hand painted These great looking sconces have a very ornate design They're in working condition. But feel free to have them checked out by a professional for your own protection There are 2 cut out notches on the back of each sconce(see pic 20) so they can be hung on the wall. These are already wired to 10' cords with plugs on the ends to be plugged right in the wall or the cords removed and hard wired right to the wall These wall sconces are in really good condition for their age. But there are a couple minor ... moreissues to mention Unfortunately there is 1 repair on one of the sconces near the top(see pics 20-21) it is hardly noticeable and there is also part of the green leaf missing in that same pic#20 In the last two pics there's part of a flower petal missing on 1 flower in each pic. Again they'll never be noticed unless you know they're there The arms on these sconces are all plastered into place. But they are all a little loose and wiggle a little bit from them being picked up by the arms. It does not compromise them in any way and are still firmly in place. But should be handled with care and NOT be picked up by the arms but by the back plate to ensure the arms are not pulled out of the sockets These large pieces measure approximately 15.5" in height x 10.5" in width x 7.25" deep These are a great pair of sconces and I've seen them priced nearly $1000 a pair in mint condition. These here are priced to sell and you won't be disappointed These pieces are being offered in"as found" condition. Vintage Late 1950's Porcelain Wall Sconces By Thomas Industries Electric Fixture
A pair of ceramic wall sconces manufactured in the late 1950's based on the name of the company Thomas Industries Inc. and the UL number. They have a one bolt opening for mounting and the original brass fittings are included with only one. On my way to take photos of the shades I accidentally broke one shade. It will be included with your purchase along with the two pieces of the shade that broke out. The other shade is perfectly fine. The overall height with the shade is 13 inches. The top of the shade and the base width are 4 3/4 inches and the base is 7 1/4 inches including the finial. Just to make it clear the two fixtures are fine with some paint on the edges as noted in the photo. One shade is fine and the other is broken but still look at the photo and see it. The sconces retain their original porcelain pull switches and when pulled they are strong with a definite"click" There is some wall paint on them They have the outlet on the bottom.
