1930s Vintage Art Deco Glass Ceiling Light Fixture Cream Color - New Wiring
Description: This 1930s-40s light fixture has a thick glass shade in a light cream color with a hint of yellow(the photos make it appear to be more yellow than it actually is) The rim and bottom center are clear. This auction features a unique antique/vintage ceiling or wall light fixture. Constructed of brass metal, and later painted. About 10 to 20% of the paint is still visible over the brass. The exposed, unpainted brass has a very nice patina. The area of the fixture where the bulb is installed has a nice pressed/formed decoration. see photos) The light socket on the fixture appears to be original. And it visually appears to be in good condition. Short pieces of copper wire are still connected to the underside of the socket where it was salvaged from the ceiling. Three Antique Gothic Chandeliers
Up for your purchasing approval is this set of three Gothic Chandeliers. The largest one hangs approximately eight to nine feet from the ceiling canopy to the base of the chandelier. These are used collectible lights and as such need complete restoration. There is some light rusting on the bottom of the fixtures as they sat on a concrete floor for over twenty five years in a storage shed. Antique/Vintage Skyscraper/Wedding Cake Style Opaque & Clear Purple Light Globe
This is another nice light globe that I don't know lot about. I found it in the cellar of an old brick duplex I was cleaning maybe 15 years ago. It's a light frosted purple with clear stripes separating each rounded column. Coming together in the center on the top. Very neat looking. It does have a little paint issue, some minor scuffing, a little rust around where the fixtures may have been under the rim. There is also a few chips around the rim and some grinding marks but nothing that would show when the globe is in place. About ten years ago England and France and several other countries began tearing away old architectural elements from small homes cottages. Castles and chateaus in small towns and in the countryside in order to make way for more new modern and less drafty conveniences. As a result, lots of their architecture was shipped abroad to the U.S. to resellers and antique dealers by the container load. This Antique French Country rustic wall sconce made of wood and wrought iron with faux candles holder covers is part of this liquidation in history. This is a great primitive sconce, which would give that typical French country cottage feel to your home and fabulous decor for indoors or outdoors as well. I purchased this pair directly from a French seller ... moreout of Normandy. France who strictly sold only vintage and antique chandeliers, wall sconces and lighting taken from all over the French countryside, so I personally know these to be genuine. These primitive sconces are from the early 1900’s and taken from an old cottage style farmhouse. They are in excellent condition as measure approximately 7” inches tall by 5” inches wide on the wood backing plaques. They were previously wired according to French standards, but I have replaced them with more modern safe American standard candle bulb parts& wires. I do not know what kind of wood the back plates are made of and they may have possibly been added at a later date when the wiring was installed on the iron pieces. Not for sure on this and just my personal thoughts. They are in excellent antique condition showing some light to medium rust patina from having been kept in storage in a barn. They are not an exact matched set with on of the sconces showing the wrought iron curl being larger than the other. However, this does not detract from the use or function of these sconces. Saved from the demolition of a circa 1960 Eichler Era atomic ranch bungalow and offered for your consideration is a set of perforated copper flush mount ceiling fixtures with a black fitter and glass diffuser. The lamps were in poor condition and had to be restored; copper shade was polished and lacquered. The shade interior was painted with hammered grey paint(similar to original paint) the fitter was repainted black, retainer ring and screws polished and electrical connections inspected for flaws(wire did not need to be replaced) Dimensions are around 6" diameter x 4" height, mounting cross bar and bulbs not included. So shabby French chic! Pair of Antique French Lighted Wall Sconces. I was told these were from the Sun Valley(Idaho) Opera House. These have attached shades and 2 glass prisms each. The fabric shades could use cleaning. Overall. This is in wonderful vintage condition. There are holes to attach 3 glass prisms to-only of which 2 per lamp are included and the fixtures will need wall hanging brackets on the back. Vintage Mid-Century Hollywood Regency Rembrandt Waterfall Crystal Chandelier
This is an excellent elegant vintage Rembrandt 3 socket chandelier with 76 strands of crystal prisms. Four prisms each and a large cut glass(or crystal) decorative piece on the lamp stem. The condition is very good with little visible wear to the metal parts. Just a few tiny dings on the metal finial at the bottom and some spotty green oxidation on the brass panel inside the chandelier that is visible only if viewed from directly below the chandelier. The remainder of the metal has a beautiful shiny gold finish that has very little wear. The prisms are all intact, all look original, and have very little damage(a few tiny, almost invisible chips here and there) The wires inside the chandelier are likely original and are cut off above the end of the chain. So it will need to be re-wired. It could be hard wired into a home electrical system ... moreor converted to a plug-in lamp that could be hung just about anywhere. There is a switch on top of the lamp. The original ceiling canopy is included with the Rembrandt label on the inside, but the bracket is missing from the inside, so a new bracket will be necessary to mount it to the ceiling. The chandelier measures 12" tall with an additional 10" of chain x 9" across the top. It will be packed well and insured during shipping. Some reassembly may be required.
