It does work as you can see but all old wiring should be checked. It also comes with tole matching ceiling canopy. Some of the porcelain roses have large chips on them, however you can barely notice it when its hanging with all the stuff going on. PORCELAIN FLUSH CEILING FIXTURE. 1920'S- 30'S, ART DECO ERA, MODERN WIRING This art deco era ceiling light is a flush mount porceilain fixture. I believe that it is Porcelier. But the sticker that probably accompanied it at one time is missing. The porcelain is in excellent condition with no chips or repairs. The wiring is modern. I have tested the fixture and it works correctly. Judging by the small hole near the center mounting hole, it probably had a pull chain on/off witch when it was new, but the switch has been removed. It was common for the early fixtures to have pull chains because they generally did not have a wall switch to turn it on& off. The fixture is 10-5/8" long. 6-1/4" wide, and 3" deep. Antique Brass & Cast Iron Art Deco Chandelier 5 Sockets Hanging Cluster Light
Here we have an Art Deco hanging chandelier that holds 5 bulbs. This is an antique lamp that is brass and cast iron. The soceket cups and the shaft of the fixture are brass and the center star and circle are cast iron. The chain on this chandelier is a more recent vintage chain but could be easily replaced with one that would go better with the age of this lamp. As you can see it is in good condition but there is some wear to this lamp the worst of it shown in the last photo. This chandelier is about 15 inches in diameter and has a turn switch in the center that can turn the lights on and off. I would recomend re-wireing this before installation. It is found in good used condition and features an Italian cooking scene with simmering pots, pans and skewers. There is writing above reading, HMMNN! Le Ciel Gastronomique! This fixture was installed in the library of a huge“1898” Queen Anne style summer home located in Harbor Springs. Michigan. Most of this home still relied on the original“knob and tube” wiring for its electrical power. The first floor ceilings of this home were 11' high. A few of the ceiling fixtures were controlled by pull chain switches due to the lack of wall switches. This fixture was originally equipped with a pull chain switch. Photo#10 shows the hole where the switch was installed. This ornate fixture has great detailing and is in very good condition. It has an overall height of 36-3/4” from top of canopy to the bottom tip of the finial) The widest point of the ... morefixture is approximately 22” measuring to the edges of shades. This fixture was just re-wired and new socket insulators were installed. It has been gently cleaned so as not to disturb the aged patina. All three of the original solid brass“Fat Boy” sockets have mica centers and are in very good condition. They are marked"Edison Patents 250V 50 C.P" The paddle key switches are marked“Bryant” The 2-1/4" shade fitters are marked"PAT. Offered is 95 inches(5 strands) of vintage glass beaded chandelier chain. The pressed glass star shaped beads are approximately 3/4 wide and are quitethick. These are fairly old c1940s and were made in West Germany. The beads are flat one with bevel edge on one side and a raised to a point on the other. These look great draped on a chandelier. They are in the form of a bow with trailing ribbons with a curved fluted arm holding pretty crimped and frilled glass lampshades that have a lovely soft peachy tint around the bottom. The gilt bronze has a wonderful warm aged finish which could be polished brighter if required. Both the shades are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. They have been re-wired at some time and are in good working order. Approx 46x26" Absolutely gorgeous lead crystal Chandelier. German lead crystal made in Italy. This piece is quite old although exact age is unknown. It needs to be assembled in place as it is quite heavy once assembled. There are some chips in the crystals on this piece, I have tried to capture them in the photos. It is also missing one bobeche. We have some extra hanging crystals but are unsure where they go. The top bobeche's could hold crystals as well but I think these would be too long. These flaws do not take away from the beauty of this unique table chandelier. The very top candle does not turn off with the others when switched off, must be unscrewed or unplugged. Mounted in a painted brass holder, and is in good condition with no chips or cracks to the glass. The bulb holder is a standard UK bayonet clip type. It is large enough to sit comfortably below a 40-50 inch wide ceiling rose, in any medium sized room. Measures 10 inches wide at the top. The nickel finish is in good condition but shows minor tarnishing. The patent date on the back side is March 3, 1925(photo 10) The wiring is modern, and they have very unique rotary switches in the form of an acorn. The switches work correctly. The paper candles are original and I was torn between replacing them or painting them, but decided to leave them as is and the new owner can decide whether to replace them or paint them to match their own décor. The sconces have been tested(photo 12) and work correctly. Bulbs are not included. It will date to the late 1800s, it came to me through a house clearance here in the South of France, as you can see in my photo's, this chandelier is for candles, as it was originally, in approx the 1920s/1930s it was wired for electricity, but this wiring was so old and distressed. It literally d i solved in my hands. So it has been removed and put back to its original state, I still have some of the old bulb holders and faux candles from the 1920s. Materials: The center bowl is made out of thick-walled. Molded glass and is partly clear polished and partly frosted. It shows a strictly geometrical reduced and outstanding leafs decor in its center- the border is adorned with clear glass bubbles. The chrome-plated metal fixture is still original from the time. The chandelier is equipped with two bulb sockets, so the center bowl becomes equally illuminated. Delightful.Solid brass cherubs on ornately detailed brass back plates.Each cherub carries a candle style torch which is topped with a fancy glass dish with suspending lead crystal peardrops,each topped with lead crystal buttons.The wiring has been replaced and also the faux candle drip sleeves.They are both in superb vintage condition and each light takes a single small sized screw type bulb.Both lights are in working order.Each light weighs 1.8 Kilos!
