There is some wear to the surface of the red and the gold, but they have a great look! They turn on and off with a pull chain at the bottom of the fixture. The cardboard around the sockets are stamped"Bryant" These sconces come out of a 1920s hotel that closed in the 1960s and was sealed up until recently. Antique Tudor Revival Medieval Gothic Deco Nouveau Moe-Bridges Style Chandelier
This is an antique chandelier light fixture with five lights. It came out of a victorian home and was probably a replacement when the gaslights were taken out. It looks like a Moe-Bridges light fixture but I am not sure because I can't find any marks on it. It has been professionally rewired and works great. It is heavy and made of brass and painted metal. It has red. Green and gold colors in the decoration. There are some chips on some of the painted areas especially the finial that hangs down on the bottom of the fixture. I didn't want to change or alter the finish at all so I left it as is. I hung the fixture on a ladder to photograph it hanging but I am sure it would look much better hanging from the ceiling in your home. The actual body of the fixture measures 25" long and about 20" wide. The chain and ceiling cover ... moremeasure another 24" long. The fixture and chain measure approximately 49" long. These are a pair of antique Moe Bridges wall sconces in Excellent Condition. These date from the 1920's Made in Milwaukee. Wisconsin Made of cast iron. Tubing is brass These have been partially rewired. The switches are original and can be wired in or left out. The nuts that hold sconce to wall are missing. Candelabra sleeves are not original. Henrik and Ole Moe, helped to found the Milwaukee-based Moe-Bridges lighting company in 1919. Later friction among various shareholders resulted in the brothers leaving the company in ... morethe late 1920s, and founding Moe Brothers Manufacturing. In 1938. The company relocated to Fort Atkinson. Wisconsin. After the city agreed to sell land– adjacent to an all-important railroad line– to the company for one dollar. Moreover, the city built a modern plant(at 700 Oak Street) With the understanding that the company would pay rent of $1,800 for twenty years. The company was able to hire one hundred employees(no small figure in the Depression) and this increased to one hundred fifty two years later. In 1946, the company was able to pay off the bonds used to finance the Moe plant. However. As was common, the company struggled to survive after the boom-time war years(where they made grenades, bazooka and bullet shells, anti-tank mines, and other military equipment) In 1948. Lee B. Thomas stepped in to save the company. In 1953. The corporation name was changed to Thomas Industries, although the lighting fixtures still carried the Moe Light brand label, and were marketed as such. By 1963. Thomas was the largest employer in Fort Atkinson with 540 employees and sales of $41.000,000. The Fort Atkinson plant was closed in 1986. And it is empty today. But it wasn’t

Two Antique Moe Bridges Brass Floral Chandelier Hanging Ceiling Fixtures
This is a fantastic pair of Victorian Moe Bridges hanging ceiling fixtures. One fixture has five sockets surrounded by brass flowers with blue and red coloring on them. The other fixture has three sockets surrounded by the same flowers. Both have long curved and ribbed stems connecting the flowers to the main part of the frame which is made up of two round cast iron tiers designed and colored all the way around in red and blue. From the lower tier hangs six amber colored pendants from the larger chandelier and four of the same pendants from the smaller chandelier. Both fixtures hang from chains and have brass ceiling canopies with designs stamped into them and red and blue coloring. One has a bracket for ceiling mounting. But the other does not. It would screw into a standard bracket. Both fixtures have some dullness and spottiness on the ... morebrass in spots, but overall the larger one is in very good condition and the smaller one is good but has a little more spottiness. Photos 1-8 are of the larger fixture and the last four are of the smaller one. Both need to be rewired. Both have Moe Bridges Milwaukee, Wis. stamped on them. The larger fixture measures about 20" W and hangs down 30" from the ceiling. And the smaller one is about 18" W and hangs down 30" from the ceiling. They will be packed well with care and insured.

We are pleased to offer this stunning. Antique(1920s) Moe Bridges chandelier. This is a beautiful, Art Deco chandelier. It features gilded iron with ornate and opened design. There is an intricate incised pattern which is repeated throughout the fixture. There are some lovely areas of polychrome in a dark teal green. This is most predominant on the exceptional top finial. This is a three light fixture. It is not slip shade and is not made for shades of any fashion. We have used antique reproduction light bulbs(not included) to complete the look. The fixture is signed inside the gorgeous ceiling plate/canopy. The chandelier is in very good condition. It has not been restored and still retains its original finish. Antique Moe Bridges Polychrome Arts & Crafts 5 Light Ceiling Fixture Chandelier
This is a fantastic antique cast iron hanging ceiling fixture with original colorful polychrome finish that still looks very good but has some scuffs and very minor paint loss. Mainly around the top and along edges. The fixture needs to be re-wired with new sockets(there is nothing hanging from each arm; the sockets and wiring will need to be added. The style is bold and colorful with lots of angles, edges, scrolls, and other details. There is brown to accentuate the crevices and gold, red, and green to highlight other details. The chandelier is suspended from a large decorative piece that matches the bottom in style and color, and there is a sturdy metal loop attached to a piece that would have attached to a ceiling canopy at the top. The ceiling canopy is missing. The top surface of the chandelier is marked Moe Bridges, Milw. Wisc. and ... morenumbered, but I can't make out the full number. The top surface at the ends of the arms also has some putty residue that someone had added where the sockets came through the top. It is not necessary and can be removed scraped off. Nothing is broken, and the frame is perfectly useable. It measures 18" W x 22" from ceiling to bottom. It will be partially disassembled for shipping.

Antique Moe-Bridges Silver-Plated Art Deco Slip Shade Chandelier, Croydon NC1506
This a beautiful antique five-light Art Deco chandelier with original slip-in shades by Moe Bridges. Circa 1931, found in a house in downtown Nashville. Part of the Croydon series, this chandelier begins with a top finial that is ornamented with a leaf detail and swoops down to the body of the chandelier with polychrome crested bands. The silver plated body of the fixture features volute, foliate, and floral designs with silver column clusters between each slip shade. The original slipper shades display lattice work surrounding crested shields. The chandelier finishes with a complementary foliate embellished rounded base and a small acorn finial. The light fixture is in excellent condition; it has been professionally rewired and comes with all the necessary attachments for modern installation. The glass is in very good condition with no cracks ... moreor breaks, just the expected fleabite around the edges. Thomas Industrial Moe Light Double Wall Sconce Fixture Brass Sunflower Antique
This is an old Thomas Industrial Moe Light wall sconce. It has two arms with a leaf design. A sunflower wall piece, two light holders with porcelain sockets. it has some finish discoloration to the brass. It needs refurbished/ cleaned/ rewired etc. The sunflower is 5 7/8" diameter, the arms are 6 1/2" from the flower to the lower curve and then another 6" up to the top of the sconce. Approx diameter 20" Ceiling plate 3 3/8" diameter Center plate 5" diameter Description: Cast iron parts are marked"Moe Bridges" This is a gorgeous. Floral 5 arm chandelier. It is polychrome gold with green and red accents. Needs some TLC. Some or all of the arms are slightly bent and it needs to be rewired. The finish still looks very good. Includes all of the original amber glass or crystal drops. They are in good shape with some light oxidation and a few microchips. Unfortunately, during packaging, the wire holding the large, center ball and beads broke and we were not able to recover 5 of the tiny beads. Antique Deco Moe Bridges Wall Sconce Porch Light Glass & Iron Arts & Crafts
Antique dating from the 1920's Moe Bridges Exterior Wall Sconce. Porch Light in its as found condition. The original glass shade on the inside is a heavy/ thick amber color textured crackle glass type. The metal parts of the fixture appear to be made of heavy wrought and cast iron which seems to have been painted green at some point in time and it is now mostly gone and peeling off. We have no idea if the sconce was originally painted green or if someone painted it in this color. The detail on the metal is just exquisite and it almost has an"Arts and Crafts" look. On the back of the long bracket that fits on the wall. It is marked"Moe Bridges" Close to the opening at the bottom. There are four metal screws that attach the vertical sections that hold the glass shade in place. These screws, will open up the metal vertical ... morebrackets that will help release the glass insert and clean it. We left the sconce in its as found condition and did not attempt to take the glass out because we are not sure as to how the whole thing can be cleaned and refinished. We are selling it in its as found condition for the new owner to get it cleaned and restored. Please note that the iron is rusty in a lot of areas and looks rough with partial green paint that makes it look dirty and old. Also. The glass shade would definitely need to be cleaned. Measurements are: Depth(extending from the wall) 9" Height 14" Width of wall bracket 4 1/2" Diameter of the metal round bottom opening where glass insert is located approx. 6" The wall sconce is quite heavy and it is offered in its as is condition.
