Antique Vintage Lighting Shades Pair of Frosted Painted Shades 2 1/4" Fitter
Here is a pair of frosted shades that were removed from a home that dated from the 1920's. I'm not sure if they are original. But they appear to be from that era. The exterior is frosted and the interior is painted. There are a good amount of'flea bites' on the exposed edges. Check photos for condition. The flea bites along the lower lip of both shades are numerous but there are no chips from damage. These will be shipped in an over-sized box for protection. Vintage antique HICKLEY Lighting PAIR wall mount fixtures brass no glass
Offered is a pair of brass wall mount light fixtrues from the Hickley Lighting Co. Original mounting hardware is included. Wiring is still there but I do not know if it is still good. The glass that was originally in the fixtures is missing. The last picture shows what the original glass looked like and what the complete fixture looks like. They still make glass that looks almost identical to the original glass and can be found at a stained glass supply store. Each fixture takes 1 pane of glass 6" X 4 3/4" and 3 panes 7 1/4" X 4 3/4" They are held in place by attached clips. 1 fixture has 3 small areas where the brass was polished a little. On one fixture the backplate is bent a little. The fixtures are in nice condition but tarnished. May have some minor scratches but no dents. Earlier on eBay I sold some complete fixtures ... morebut these 2 are the last I have. They came off a building that was built around 1930 and was being remodeled about 10 years ago and have been in storage since. Vintage cast bronze fish sconce antique lighting fixtures pair
These vintage lights were removed from a 1880's home in southeastern MA. Not sure of the actual year of manufacturing as there are no markings on the fixtures. Both lights are identical and feature a ornate round globe. The approximate height of each fixture is 12" and the width is 6" The bulbs are 60W each. Fixtures appear to be bronze. They are heavy and do not conduct a magnetic. We have an identical designed pendant light that we are listing separately as well that does not have a matching globe.

And lovely filigree brass bands at top. Gorgeous! Under each shade is a single glass sphere. I love it! On the chandeliers. The upper stems have a thick glass donut, and above that is a stunning brass flourish. Yum! Weaving up through the original chains is new cloth-covered wiring. Nice. The canopies(the cup against the ceiling) are also original. They are very simple. But the shape is a perfect complement to the fixtures(the eye should notice the chandelier and not the canopy) The sconces retain their original mounting buttons, too. The fixtures can be configured in several ways(see more below) Each fixture has a beautiful glass shade with fluted sides. And a lovely design ... morethe bottom. The glass shades have a metal ring on top, and the effect is dramatic. A feature that I really like about the set is how they throw light down. And up to the ceiling. Each fixture takes two 100W bulbs. ABOUT THE RESTORATION SCHEDULE: This set will take up to two weeks to restore after payment is received. ABOUT THE FINISH: As noted. The fixtures are not restored yet. The paint finish(now chipped and partially lost) will be fully renewed in the original color– a soft sorta beige/peach. If I ship chandelier versions, the exposed wire will be new, and cloth-covered like the original. IS THE STYLE RIGHT FOR YOUR DÉCOR? While the set is wonderfully Moderne in style. Few people in the 1930s or 1940s owned Moderne-style homes(indeed, very few such homes were ever built) Then, as today, most homes are traditional in style, and people would have purchased a set like this because it seemed new and fresh, no matter the style of their home or its furnishings. I’m very pleased to offer this wonderful opportunity: A pair of 1930s kitchen-type ceiling fixtures by the famous Lightolier Company! This listing includes: ONE 8-1/2-inch wide 2-bulb fixture! This is meant for the middle of a kitchen. ONE 6-1/2-inch wide 1-bulb fixture! This is meant for over a kitchen ... moresink. ABOUT LIGHTOLIER Beginning in the 1920s. And for many decades thereafter, the Lightolier Company(extant today of course) made some of the very finest fixtures. Their designs were always simply dazzling, and the quality was the very very very best. When you restore vintage lights such as I do, these aspects are so obvious they tend to jump out. It’s always a particular pleasure restoring a Lightolier! The fixtures are typically Lightolier in being rather ingenious. The shades have little leg-like extensions on top. Creating a space between the shade proper and the chrome fitter above. The finial has pierced openings. The reason for all this? You can use 100W bulbs without the fixtures overheating. The heat from the bulbs will create an air current. This will draw cool air up through the openings in the finial. And out through the openings between the shade legs. Clever? I think so! The shades are also striking. The edges have very thin raised lines. And the bottoms have a highly textured, dimpled surface. Nice. The smaller fixture is especially adorable. Each glass shade has minor issues(see last images) The larger shade has two tiny chips. The small shade has three.

Antique lighting French pink pair boudoir shabby shades chic vintage
Great little pair French pink lampshades. Great condition. These measure approx. 3" across the top, 5" across the bottom, and 3 3/4" tall. One of these is a little lighter in color from more use. Material looks to be of a cotton, and the edging is a ribbon looking braid material. very cute
