PORCELAIN FLUSH CEILING FIXTURE. 1920'S- 30'S, ART DECO ERA, MODERN WIRING This art deco era ceiling light is a flush mount porceilain fixture. I believe that it is Porcelier. But the sticker that probably accompanied it at one time is missing. The porcelain is in excellent condition with no chips or repairs. The wiring is modern. I have tested the fixture and it works correctly. Judging by the small hole near the center mounting hole, it probably had a pull chain on/off witch when it was new, but the switch has been removed. It was common for the early fixtures to have pull chains because they generally did not have a wall switch to turn it on& off. The fixture is 10-5/8" long. 6-1/4" wide, and 3" deep. The fixtures are stamped"Porcelier" The set includes two ceiling or wall mount lights, one is a double socket light. The sconces are identical in color and pattern. They are a golden color with white undertones. They are trimmed in gold with a French or Italianate vine and leaf pattern. The pair are stamped"Porcelier" on the inside. They are in very good condition with very little evidence of age/use. The two light sconce has two"lines" that look like hairline cracks. However, if you run your finger over them, you cannot feel them. I truly think they are age marks in the finish. There is some very light crazing in a couple of areas. There is a small drop of cream colored paint between two ribs that may need to be rubbed off. It really wouldn't have to be touched/disturbed as it is not noticeable. Vintage 1930's ART DECO PORCELAIN "Porcelier" Light Fixtures THREE
Three Vintage Porcelier Porcelain Electric Light Fixtures Sconces. The twin bulb fixtures measure 11 1/4" x 6 3/8" x 4" The small fixture measures 5 1/4" x 5 3/4" x 2 5/8" They are an ivory/off white color with flower accents. They do have what I would consider minor flaws for their age. One of the twin bulb fixtures has a deep crazing line and the other has more overall crazing The small fixture has a chip or scrap to one of the flowers. I have photographed the above mentioned. One of the large fixtures is missing its finial and the hanging bracket. There is no hanging bracket on the small fixture. Hanging brackets can be gotten at a lighting store and you may have to change out the porcelain finial for something different so they match. This beautiful vintage light fixture has a thick textured shade. The shade is a soft antique white color. It's about the same color as sweet cream. The clear design on the shade is a textured floral that runs all the way around the shade. It has a strong Art Deco influence in design. The holder is a thick heavy porcelain Porcelier fixture with a gold accents and an embossed floral and leaf design. This fixture retains it's original porcelain socket that has been cleaned and rewired. It has a pull chain on the side of the porcelain fixture as shown in the photos. This fixture is almost all completely original. I replaced the chains and the wiring. And of course it's been taken apart and cleaned. It's so pretty when lit. The light accentuates the floral design in the shade. The fixture hangs down a total of 11 inches. Making ... moreit perfect for low ceilings. The shade measures 10.5" in diameter. A style typically found in 1920's/ 1940's era hallways and bathrooms. The piece has a white high gloss porcelain body with fired on platinum trim and measures about 7" H x 4-5/8" W and extends from wall about 4" It has a genuine McGill-Levolier toggle switch that can also operate as a pull switch. Item comes with original mounting stud/bolt and wall flange(see photos) Body has auxiliary appliance provision(slots) at bottom. But is not wired for same. No shade is included. This beautiful Art Deco 3-lite chandelier was made by Porcelier Co. circa 1930's. The frosted satin glass shade measures 16" in diameter. The larger raised floral pattern. The rim and bottom center are clear with the satin portion of the shade textured with small flowers. The porcelain center column and ceiling canopy are off-white. Trimmed in gold and decorated with flowers. The overall height of the center column and shade is approx. 13" The ceiling canopy is 5 1/2" diameter. 2" high.
