Antique DOGWOOD Porcelain Sugar Bowl w Spoon Cracked so Value Priced
Unfortunately this antique porcelain Dogwood sugar bowl is cracked by the spoon slot as you can see in the last couple pictures. And that's why this is value priced. I know it would be quite an expensive piece if not cracked as it is a beauty with hand painted flowers and footed. Pretty Bavarian porcelain rose floral sugar and creamer set. Minimal wear to the gold trim on the handle on the creamer handle and no wear on the sugar bowl that I can tell. There is what appears to be a small chip or glaze spot missing in firing on the inside of the creamer. But no other cracks, chips or damage to either piece. It is a numbered set, and is numbered 18. The creamer is approximately 4 1/2" tall x 4" wide. The sugar bowl is approximately 5" wide from handle to handle and 5" tall to the top of the lid. This is a 4 inch tall. Brown and white creamer made in Germany. The head of a dear on a bed of pine is pitcured on the side. The pitcher measures 3 3\4 inches across the opening. The 6 sided base is 3 1\2 inches across and has' Germany 401' stamped in red. This is a nice older piece with no chips, cracks or repairs. There is some minor color chipping.

Delft pottery apothecary drug jars Description: For sale are two very nice antique 18th century apothecary drug jars of cylindrical form with waisted neck. Both found in Belgium. One is hand decorated in polychrome colors with red. Green, blue, yellow and manganese, and with text"P. Mercuria" in a wonderful soft cream tin glaze. It has a nice hollow but sturdy footrim. No other similar 18th c drug jar with this particular decoration was found on the internet. The second one has been finely hand painted in cobalt blue& white with text'E SAPONAR" Probably from the Delft PAUW(peacock) factory because of the two peacocks painted left and right of the fruit basket. The Dutch book'Apothekerspotten uit de Nederlanden' suggests aswell a reference to the Doornik(Tournay) factory because of the'cross& dots' ... moremark placed under the winged cherub. It has been documented that potters and decorators from Delft to Doornik worked together. Sizes: Mercuria drug jar: Tall: 5 1/4" 13 cm) Width: 3 1/4(8 cm) Saponar drug jar: Tall: 4 1/2" 11 cm) Width: 3 1/2" 9 cm) Total weight both together: 635 grams Condition: In a very nice condition for its age and usage.
