Be sure to scroll down past the photos for the full description of this auction) Up for auction with NO RESERVE is the finest quality English Sterling Silver and Cut Glass Perfume Bottle I have sold in a very long time. The Bottle features a wonderful large Floral Repousse decorated Hinged Top Sterling Silver Lid. Complete with the original inner stopper which is most often missing. The Bottle is of amazing quality being deeply and finely cut is a sort of Bull's Eye design. I am sure the Glass is by one of the companies like Baccarat, Webb or Stevens Williams, it is so much finer than my photos can show. The Sterling is fully Hallmarked for the fine Period Silversmiths Thomas Hayes, Birmingham England, Sterling Silver and the Date Letter for 1895. The Bottle is in excellent all original condition with some overall wear to the glass including fleabites but no large chips, cracks or repairs, plus the Glass is very clean and clear. The Bottle is a nice large size for modern use or display measuring 4-1/4" tall by 3-3/4" wide across the body. I am sure few Bottles of this amazing quality and beauty come up for auction with no reserve!
