I am"hallmark impaired" so I don't know how to read these(I really should get a book or something! Here is what the characters are"H& S" Anchor. Lion Passant, some letter I can't make out(It looks like a"fancy" small letter"d" to me? So all you hallmark experts have at it. I always get the most lovely responses- these hallmark experts are just so nice. Anyway, the cut glass pattern has a star in the middle. The collar is actually removable as shown in the photos. No major damage only a a couple tiny nibbles to the top of the stopper and a couple chips to the end of the it. The glass bottle is pristine- I find no chips, nibbles or cracks anywhere. Even the rim is in excellent condition and you will notice the outside of the neck is ground a bit rough. Perhaps at one time the collar actually secured to the bottle( But it makes no difference ~ it is gorgeous on display. With the stopper in place is it 3 1/2 inches tall and the base is square, 1 3/8" x 1 3/8" My guess is it is English from"across the pond" but as to the maker and date ~ we will leave it to the experts and I will let you know what I hear.
