Antique Art Deco Perfume Cologne Bottle Cut Glass Enamel Jewel Gold (#3428)
Art Deco glass and guilloche enamel jewelled and gilded perfume/ cologne bottle. Made in Europe. Very likely Austrian Wiener Werkstatte or Paris, France. Dates to 1920-30's. Measures 5 1/2 inches high. Almost 4 inches in diameter at bottom. Outstanding quality: glass bottle reminiscent of figural stylised woman in a wide skirt. Glass is emerald green cut to yellow. Original full dauber at the end of the stopper. Stopper with rich gilding and wonderful faux emerald on top. The neck of the bottle has a band of fantastic guilloche enamel in a complex design in sparkling emerald green. Golden orange and gold. Various textured surfaces, parallel lines, squares within squares with irregularly sized borders. A golden masquerade mask with engraved detail. Dating to the mid 1800's. This bottle has three sides. Two have gold floral cartouche designs typical of the Ottoman Era. The third side has an empty cartouche where I can see an an outline of a Turkish Tugrha/Tugra Mark. It has all of the elements of the Ottoman Seal. But I'm not sure which Sultan it belongs to. Underneath that area. Closer to the base, is what appears to be a stylized"T" or"J" and a"B. Up for sale is a antique/vintage Czech gold filigree mini perfume bottle with glass dauber. It is signed"Czecho" on the back. It has one small stone in the gilt and a flower with 3 lavender leaves. It also has a lavender glass stone in the cap. The glass dauber is intact. It has some oxidation on the cap and shoulders of the bottle. Otherwise it is in very good condition. It measures 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" without the cap. With the cap. It is 1 3/4" tall. It is 1/2" thick. Tiny and beautiful! So much prettier than the pictures show.
