It is a dark green cut glass. facetted sides. a small one actually. the larger white metal end is a little dented and knocked and I can see NO silver hallmarks on it anywhere. this of course does not mean to say its not silver as alot of similar items are not marked.MY PRICE has nothing to do with the metal content.its the ANTIQUE VALUE of the item. So this larger end. you simple unscrew it to see the inner cork of the lid and a nice gilt thread collar around the bottle. a nice mouth too. no damage. The other end is a FLAT top. you can see the square hinge at the back.so simply lift the lid. hinge it up to see the gilt interior grill which has been fine chip carved engraved. looks like a little pepper pot. now then be carefull here. quite often this little grill hinges off or pulls up.this one you MUST unscrew the whole top lid. see the photographs. inside it has the small sponge. The bottle is in two sections. perfume being the larger one. the bevelled shoulders of the bottle are all good.a very nice bottle for any collection. Up for auction is a Cut Glass Perfume Bottle ot Decanter with a Hallmarked ... moreSterling Silver Lid. I am not good with hallmarks but I have taken a photos for you. The lid is huge and beutifully decorated. The hinge works perfectly and the sterling lid is secure to the bottle. The inside of the lid still retains it's nice gold wash. There is a dent to the lid as you will see in the photos. The bottle is free of chips. Cracks& repairs. However, whatever liquid used to be stored in this bottle has left a residue to the top 1/4 of the bottle. It has also left the rest of the bottle with an slightly iridescent cast to it. Very strange but you will see what I mean in the photos. This is one of those bottles you almost pass up but then just due to it's size and lovely details in the lid and cut glass you decide it's worth the trouble. I have not attempted to remove the"residue" so perhaps some of it will come off ~ I do not know. I have broken too many a bottle while trying to scrub them up. So now just a light dusting and if they are presentable- I leave the major cleaning to you. The bottle is heavy and I imagine just the silver lid alone would be worth a bit of money. The lid is 2 1/4 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches across at the widest. Shoot. Just the lid is as big as some sterling silver bottles alone! The total height of the bottle(lid& glass) is 6 1/4 inches tall and the width across the widest part is 3 1/2 inches. Just so you know what a conversation piece it is.when my daughter asked what used to be in the bottle I told her it was probably"the potion of some Mad Victorian Era Scientist.maybe Frankenstien himself" I couldn't resist having a little fun at her expense. ITEM DESCRIPTION This auction is for a beautiful antique cut glass and silver scent bottle. Made in the last year of Queen Victorias reign. 1901- hallmarked thus to the collar. Maker is the very respected William Hutton& Sons. Measures 10cm tall. It needs some work as the hinge pin has broken internally- the hinge itself is not damaged so it just needs the pin removing and replacing. Other than that its in nice untouched antique condition with no major faults and the usual signs of age and authenticity. I am selling a few other nice pieces of silver. Circa 1880 In wonderful condition. Not hallmarked as was so typical with these Antique Victorian scent bottles. The beautiful flat tubular glass is in lovely condition. The blue bottle is the most wonderful colour being the deepest of the cobalt shades with a hint of purple. With no chips or nibbles. The solid silver screw on lid has heavy repousse silver work of flowers& leaves. Absolutely stunning. I can feel a slight indentation to the lid where the tip of my finger rests when unscrewing the lid. This is very hard to see due to the ornate decoration to the lid. I mention for total accuracy. This tiny scent bottle is a truly beautiful cobalt blue color in very good condition! It has nicks on the top and a very few tiny nicks to the cut glass edges. Please look at all photo's closely. Overall. It's in really great shape. I believe this scent bottle must be at least 100 years old and probably older. I would not be at all surprised if it were made in the late 1800's but it is NOT marked. The glass is hand cut and the lines are imperfect. The sterling top is in excellent condition with no dents, dings or splits. The cork inside is intact and whole. I can still smell a hint of whatever perfume used to be kept in it. It measures a VERY small 15/16" wide by 1-7/8" tall and is 1/2" deep. I am downsizing my personal collections and will be listing many vanity items. Antique Blown Glass Figural Reindeer Narcisse Perfume Scent Bottle Xmas Ornament
Offered here for your bidding evaluation is this whimsical antique figural blown glass reindeer Narcisse perfume bottle! Standing 31/2" tall. The delicate glass deer has antlers, ears and a muzzle painted in gold. An embossed Narcisse paper label can be seen on the back of the creature. Traces of the perfume can be seen inside. Hard to believe that this fragile little hand blown beauty is still fully intact and without any breaks, though the tiny cork stopper has gone missing. There is an old cardboard box bottom that will be included with the scent bottle(not pictured) The box bottom is stained, bent, and has splits and tears. As to the deer, the glass is perfect but there is wear to the gold paint around the muzzle. I have seen several of these bottles holding various kinds of perfume. These may have been offered around the holiday ... moretime, and likely the empty bottle could be saved and used as a Christmas decoration long after the contents were gone. Pleased to offer: antique 1880s Scent Casket 3 glass perfume bottle fitted box vanity dresser This scent casket measures about 5-1/4 inches tall. 6-1/2 inches long, and 3 inches deep. The latch is marked, Patent Aug 13, 1878. Contains three glass bottles that have a matching etched pattern. This perfume box has seen better days. The leather covering is pealing up in places and is missing around the top. One rear leg is missing the ball foot, the beveled glass window has a chip, and each of the three bottles have chips too(1st- large chip on rim and looks like other chip ground/polished out. 2nd- chips on the points of the shoulder. 3rd- small chip on the shoulder. It could still find a good home in someone's collection.

Only identifying mark is a barely visable clear sticker on the bottom that I think reads Made in Japan. The bottle has been used because there is a slight bit of residue on the bottom in one of the corners. The bit of damage I find is a small chip on the stopper. You can see it in picture#2. The bottle stands 3-1/2" tall with the stopper and 2" without it. The bottle is 2-1/4" at its widest point. This is a very pretty bottle with the glass dauber still attached to the stopper. I have seen similar ones for sale that were advertised as I W Rice bottles. I don't think it has ever had perfume in it. I looks to me like it was possibly only used for display. The Bottle is the only Mercury Glass example I have ever sold and one of the finest Victorian Perfume Bottles I have ever sold. The Bottle features a very nice Solid Silver Repousse Hinged Lid and mounts with the Body being cut in an amazing Optical Pattern giving the Mercury a wonderful appearance. The lid is unmarked as far as I can see but has been tested and is guaranteed to be at least 800 Grade(80% Pure) Solid Silver. The Bottle is in excellent all original condition. The pin in the hinge of the lid has broken off it needs to be removed and replaced but this can be done by any jeweler, I simply don't have time. There are no chips, cracks or repairs but we also could not remove the inner glass stopper. The Bottle is a large and impressive example measuring 4" long by 1-3/4" wide. This is a rare find for the collector of Perfume Bottles or Mercury Glass and I don't think you will find another up for auction any time soon, especially with no reserve! Antique green glass and sterling silver over lay scent bottle. Condition: there is a dent on the top of the marked sterling silver lid. I can't remove the inner glass stopper and there is perfume or salts residue on the inside of the bottle. There are nicks on the glass stopper and on the edge of the top of the bottle. You may be able to get the stopper out. I have soaked it in hot water with no results. The lid screws on and off nicely with no problems. It is a heavy little thing, super shiny and displays VERY nicely. Please view all photo's and enlarge them. This piece measures 2-3/16" tall with lid in place and is 1-1/16" in diameter. Dating to the mid 1800's. This bottle has three sides. Two have gold floral cartouche designs typical of the Ottoman Era. The third side has an empty cartouche where I can see an an outline of a Turkish Tugrha/Tugra Mark. It has all of the elements of the Ottoman Seal. But I'm not sure which Sultan it belongs to. Underneath that area. Closer to the base, is what appears to be a stylized"T" or"J" and a"B. There is what appears to be a small indentation on the inside of the glass as you can see in the third from last picture. Also. There is question ... moreas to whether the stopper is original to the piece. The fit doesn't appear to be right. The bottle is 5-1/2" tall with the stopper. One think is certain. You aren't going to find another perfume exactly like this one ever. Custom hand painted enameling. It is not regular paint. This was fired to fuse the enameling to the glass. The detailing is superb. You can see the individual raised layers of color. Sorry I could get it to show in the photographs. The sides have a cut grove that may have been for some type of string or holder for this wonderful perfume. ... moreThis superb rarity was what I am guessing a Bridesmaid gift or for some important event possibly a symphony. We can only guess now. It is completely hand cut. Every edge is cut and polished including the front and back face. Even the bottom foot was formed by cutting and polishing the glass. There is nothing untouched other then possibly the inside of the neck. I t may have had a stopper at one time. It s hard to tell. It has a musical instrument Motif. I'm guessing the happy couple may have been musicians. There is a violin. French horn(I think) snare drum, and parade drum. The inscription is Zum Andenken Von Josef& Miaria Gridl. Which stands for"In Memory of Von Josef& Miarfia Gridl" Condition is excellent with exception of the chip on the neck shown in photo.
