It's very similiar to some of the bottles Lalique did for Coty but it's actually a bit nicer, better glass, more precision& details in the relief designs. Ohio. An extremely similar one signed Libbey appears on page 137 in the rarities section of Pearson's book A Study Of American Cut Glass Collections. It is also shown on page 50 of his Volume#2 book. My piece has cobalt blue color glass cased over clear glass on the bottle and a black overlay stopper. The piece in the books is said to just have a black glass overlay. The bird that I believe is a peacock; looks to be identical and the 2 swirled balls ... morematch also. The only real difference that I see beside the color is that my stopper is longer near the top and mine does not appear to be signed. Similar cut to clear pieces appear in the Fauster's Libbey Glass book and they give me the impression that this piece was probably made in the 1920's or 1930's. It measures 8-1/2" high and the base is 2-3/8" in diameter. The weight is 8.7 ounces. The blank is blown with a polished pontil on the bottom. The unpolished or frosted peacock and plant cutting has good depth and nice detail work. The peacock is a common ingredient in many Art Nouveau style items. The overall condition is excellent. The stopper fits very well and sits at an appropriate level. The stopper and dauber look to be perfect except for a pinpoint sized nick that is probably an exposed bubble with a swirl of minute bubbles next to it where the pontil was polished on top. The bottle is in great condition and I would call it near perfect. The interior looks good, but to be picky I'll mention some scratches where the dauber has rubbed. These can only be seen if you hold it up to bright light and look closely for them. This piece could appeal

This is a stunning example of the quality glass work produced by Czech craftsmen. In this case specifically the Morlee company. The Czech/Bohemian glassware became as prestigious as jewelry and was sought-after by the wealthy and the aristocracy of the time. Czech crystal chandeliers could be found in the palaces of the French king Lois XV. Empress of Austria, and Elizabeth of Russia, and in Milan's La Scala. Bohemian crystal became famous for its excellent cut and engraving. This piece shows of just that in it's deep etchings! Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is an elegant black glass perfume bottle with rare silver tone hardware& atomizer. The hardware is all original ~ only the bulb and cord are new ~ but even the cord caps are original. This is definitely a DeVilbiss bottle and has the gold painted stamp on the bottom. Likely c. 1920-1930. Again, another bottle with that great Art Deco style. This bottle is in excellent condition ~ nothing major to report. Perhaps a tiny surface scratch I missed. No chips or cracks and no repairs that I can detect. In fact, the atomizer can be overly twisted past it's tight point and I feel just a tiny give in the collar if you twist it that far. This tiny detail is something that naturally occurs after years and years of use, you may not even notice it, but ... moreit's another reason I feel confident the hardware is original. I have not shined the silver as I was not certain if it is meant to have this"brushed" metal appearance but I always liked it that way so you'll have to do the shinning. The bottle is empty and clean inside and out. The glass syphon tube is intact with only a couple microscopic nibbles to the very end. When the bulb is squeezed you are able to feel the air come out so it appears to still be in working order. The gold"DeVilbiss" lettering on the bottom of the base is very clear& readable. It is 6 1/2 inches tall to the top of the ball on the atomizer. The base is 2 1/4 inches wide. You just can't go wrong with such a supreme example of DeVilbiss at it's best. Rare Vintage Art Deco Style 7 Piece Crystal Perfume Bottle Set Circa 1940
Offered for auction is a wonderful vintage 7-piece art-deco style perfume bottle set from the 1940s. The crystal stoppers on the bottles are very beautiful. I believe the carrier is Bakelite ~ although I'm not an expert and could be wrong ~ it's possible it's plastic.although it's in excellent shape for plastic. The bottles fit together perfectly. There are no scratches or nicks/fleabites on the glass. The set is 4" high with the stoppers. 2 3/4" high without the stoppers and the carrier is slightly more than 6 1/4" around at the base. The set weighs 7.1 ounces. Interestingly each bottle weighs exactly the same at 2.1 ounces. I expected them to weigh slightly differently but that's not the case with this set. Overall. Art Deco Nouveau Rare Lalique Les Fleurs D'Orsay Perfume 5 Bottle Testor
I have been asked to list this lovely piece from a fine estate with many beautiful antique decorative items. This item is a rare compartmental perfume bottle presentation piece with five separate perfume testers made by Renée Lalique 1925 for Les Fleurs D'Orsay perfume. There is another name embossed in a top corner that I have not made out as of yet. It is a gorgeous piece and it has etched across the front the words Dorsay in an ornate French Art Nouveau writing. There are just 2 or 3 teeny tiny knicks on bottom edges that are too small to measure. Less than 1/16" 2 bottom corners have a very very slight roughness. There are several small bubbles within the glass. Two stoppers are in excellent condition but not original. They aren't quite as snug as the originals and though they have a slight floral form it is different ... morethan the 3 original flower form tops. The other 3 original stoppers are in excellent condition and have the numbers on the daubers"1, 3, 4" Their tops are petaled frosted flowers with the word"Dorsay" and a scent name embossed on each! There is a minor amount of perfume residue in the bottom of 2 or 3 bottles. It displays beautifully. It is 8 3/4 inches long. This is a stunning perfume bottle featuring silver overlay at the base and a beautiful silver relief around the neck. The bottle is topped off with a silver screw-off top that also features some intricate scroll work. The bottle. In it's entirety measures 6 3/4" tall and is 3 1/2 inches at it's widest point. It has a decorative glass bottom piece of women in different poses. And a top metal(possibly bronze) atomizer that is beautiful engraved with a floral design. The glass is in excellent condition. But the metal does have a minor amount of pitting and a patina build up. The atomizer cylinder DOES NOT work. Clear Glass one with green design is about 3" tall. Age and maker unknown. There are various marks from use on both perfume bottles. Scratches on top of black glass one are shown in photo. This is a very rare advertising sales booklet for Babani Perfumes with Pictures and prices of 12 different perfumes by Babani of Paris and booklet dated 1925. The booklet measures 4 inches wide by 6 inches tall. The front of book has shiny silver very intricate styled art deco or art nouveau style dressed woman.I had found the signature Mahon under one of the pictures inside the booklet and is most likely the person that did all of the art for the booklet.This was made for De Cameron Inc. of New York at 681 Fifth Avenue Agent for Babani in America as it says in front pages of booklet. There are three more pages that are not shown with perfumes because Ebay has a limit on amount of photos.The missing photos are of Fleurs d' Annam Perfume,Jasmin de Coree Perfume and Babani's Toilet Water bottle and gift box set of perfumes with Arden ... morelipstick in chased gold container. Handle measuring 6 3/4 tall and 2" wide. OLD label says"Made in Czechoslovakia" With mirror and handle extended. Measures 10" tall. Mirror is about 4" in diameter.
