We were told from the estate where we found many treasures of amazing antiques that many of these perfume bottles are said to have belong ed to the women's grandmother and from the late 1800's. Several antique perfume bottles were found at an estate of a couple who traveled the world. Description An absolutely gorgeous perfume bottle from the mid 1900's. Matson perfume bottles date back to the 1940's to 1960's. It has a lovely gold gilt floral filigree framing over a glass base. There is a tall gold gilt matching floral top with a glass dauber. The gilt metal is ormolu or brass or some other metal with gilded plated surface- all original. It has a lovely charming aged patina. On the back of the handle of the dauber is where it is marked"Matson" Measures 6.25" tall. The base is 3" and the dauber has a total length of nearly 6" Condition: MINT! It is in perfect condition- no chips. Cracks, or repairs. This will look stunning on your vanity or in a guest bedroom. I cannot find any markings on any of the pieces- However. We were told from the estate where we found many treasures of amazing antiques that these perfume bottles with matching tray are said to have belong ed to the women's grandmother and from the late 1800's. These antique perfume bottles were found at an estate of a couple who traveled the world. Her and her husband were instrumental in starting the Cruise industry in and out of ports in Florida and they have several homes around the world. Offered as is. featured here is a beautiful bottle with gorgeous flat gold gilt decoration. It appears that the bottle has had some damage near the"neck" where it narrows up)There appears to have been a break in the glass as there appears to be an old restoration, but whoever fixed it did a great job in our opinion. However, the bottle shows really well because of all the decoration. Very little gold loss for its age. It has 8 panels of cranberry color. One of the panel has what appears to be a open bubble to the edge. we believe its been there since its production. The 8 cranberry color panels off set beautifully with the gorgeous gold gilt decoration on the clear glass. Not sure who makes it but a collector would know. Stands approx. 7 1/8 inch tall with stopper.

Sweet little cobalt blue glass perfume bottle. Encased in ornate gilt metal and decorated with rhinestone scripted letter S. The glass is in excellent condition, and dauber is in tact. Lid works well. There are a few rhinestones missing from the S, and it appears that at one time there may have been an ornament or rhinestone to the top(easy to replace! I can only detect verdigris at two spots in the front, otherwise the gilt looks wonderful, but this little gem needs a proper cleaning. Bottle measures about 2-1/2" high by 2" wide, and 1" deep. The glass is thick and very heavy, with an almost purple color to the atomizer, though not as obviously purple as what it looks like in the photos. There is a pontil mark on the bottom of flacon. The base of flacon is stamped"APOLLO. MADE IN USA" and the number 2887. Though the exact same pattern of metalwork, I cannot see a mark on the atomizer. This magnificent aqua blue. Conical(6 1/2" tall) perfume bottle appears to have been made in France during the very early 1900's. It is decorated with gilt lines around the middle, around the top rim and on the top of the stopper(very minor usage wear to the gilding) The widest part(2 3/4" is exquisitely handpainted with white& yellow flowers& green leaves. Towards the bottom of the"cone" there is more painted embellishment with a lavender colored vine around. The gilt metal tripod base stands 5" tall and appears to be three Phoenix birds with their wings spread, holding the bottle. The legs are claw& ball feet. The total height, with the bottle sitting in the stand is 9" Condition is excellent with the only flaw being 2 insignificant tiny nicks on the very bottom of the stopper. The photos do not do these bottle justice! RARE 19thc. Daum cut glass cologne scent bottles. They looked like rock crystal. But I believe they are glass. Beautifully cut with patterns at the neck, top mid section with roses and ribbons, and at the base. Gold gilt is painted into the engraving. Both bottoms are in gilt(style of mark dates to 19thc, Daum- the Cross of Lorraine- Nancy. One is slightly taller and thick glass than the other. They measure roughly 10 1/2” including the stopper. Faceted on the neck and body. Photographing these was difficult. They were filled with sugar in order to photograph them without the pattern on the reverse showing through. Condition- Intact. No repairs. Wear to the gilt in the carvings. 1 bottle has a chip on the lip. Both stoppers have cracks in the bases of the stopper. No chips or cracks to the bases. ... moreOverall glass clarity is vg- excellent. there are a few spot in body and at the bottom that I couldn’t clean. My bottle brushes are long enough or thin enough to get in there; in other words. I do not know if the glass is stick in spots. A beautiful antique Lachrymatory clear glass perfume. Scent bottle also know as a'tear catcher. The vial comes with the stopper. The gilt has some wear. This is a 4 sided vial. It measures 6 inches long with the stopper in, and 3/4 inches wide at the sides. It is thicker then some of the other tear bottles. Here is an antique Venetian style blown spiral web pink glass perfume vial bottle. The lid is a hinged snap closure. With gilt repousse work. Antique CIVIL WAR ERA Gold Gilt Cut Glass LACHRAMATORY BOTTLE OR SCENT FLASK
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a heavy. Hand made glass Lachrymatory bottle or Scent flask. Most of these were from the Civil War era(1861- 1865) but also popular during the Victorian Era in Europe(1831- 1901) which encompassed our Civil War Era. While we were shedding tears in ours waiting for loved ones to come home from the war ~ the English were also filling similar style bottles with tears during mourning and once the tears evaporated the mourning period was over. The true Lachrymatories were started by the Greeks and Romans who also shed tears into them during the mourning procession. Reference to these bottles were even made in the Old Testament. Most are"rugged" and by no means perfectly made ~ but they were handmade ~ and that is what gives them such character. ... moreMuch later, similar style bottles were also used to home perfume. This one is heavily pained in gold design and much of it remains. No chips to the glass but you will see what looks like deep scratches- these are not cracks but are usually the results of crudely fashioning the hot glass making"folds" in it. This one does not have a stopper, which is not unusual to have lost these tiny things over the years. The bottle is 6 3/4 inches long/tall and 1/2 inch wide. BLUE SATIN GLASS ART DECO PERFUME BOTTLE WITH GILT PAINTED TRIM
This is a listing for a beautiful and unusual perfume. I love the form! It has a six lobed base and a tightly conforming lobed conical cover. The area inbetween the lobes is highlighted in gilt. I feel this piece may be Czech in origin but of that I am not certain. The condition appears very good. But there are really minute chips, like nibbling, to the lower edge of the cover where it meets the base. It is a sharp edge and you can see how this would easily happen. If there was a glass dauber, it has broken. It is possible that this perfume did not have one and the piece of glass inside the cover is just there to act as a stopper for the bottle.
