Vintage Antique? Silver Tone Small Ornate Flower Perfume Bottle - Glass Stopper
I don't really know anything about this piece. It appears to be a small metal perfume bottle with a glass stopper. There is a raised design on it that has flowers and leaves at the top and just some pretty designs towards the bottom half. I cannot get the top off and would be scared of breaking it to try too hard. So I cannot tell you what's inside, but it doesn't slosh or anything. I do not know if it is sterling silver or just a silver tone metal. It could be marked on the rim, but since I cannot get the top off, It does show some patina. And I wonder if at some time it had some kind of decorative cap over the glass stopper. It is fairly heavy and measures about 2 1/4 inches high. Seems to be in pretty good shape. Thanks for looking. Beautiful Victorian Clear Glass Footed Perfume Bottle Floral and Foliate Brass Overlay Design Stopper with Brass Flower Top For Your Old Perfume Bottle Collection Details Description: This is a gorgeous clear glass perfume bottle with a tight fitting stopper having a glass dipping rod. The bottle which is made of clear glass. Has around squat shape and the stopper has a brass top in the shape of a bursting flower. The bottle has a nice brass overlay with a solid round base and four feet on which the bottle rest. The brass overlay is shaped in a beautiful floral and foliate design with the flowers being on the bottom and the foliate being on the sides and top of the bottle. The bottle has a round recessed base with the round brass ring holding the feet sitting right on its edge. The bottle has rounded sides which flares outwardly then back ... moreinwardly and tapers at a round neck where the stopper would fit. The whole piece has beautiful decorative appearance and is very much Victorian in design. The brass stopper has a glass dipping rod in its center which goes down about 2 two third of the way to the bottom of the bottle. Please carefully review the photos provided as they are part and parcel of our description. Date: Late 1800 to early 1900s. Origin: Purchased at an estate auction in Lancaster Pennsylvania. Size: The bottle measures ~3' in diameter at its widest and is ~5 1/8" high with the stopper inserted. The bottle weighs about 8 ounces. Maker: Unknown. Marks: Unmarked. Distinguishing Characteristics- Most Interesting About The Piece: The piece has a nice shape with very interesting brass overlay and a beautiful and unusual brass stopper. It is rather uncommon in design and very much a Victorian piece. Condition: Very good condition with no breaks. Chips, or repairs. the inside of the bottle is soiled, the brass inlay and stopper could probably use a good cleaning to bring out the full beauty of the piece. There is a smooth old nick on the stopper edge. Stopper is stuck in the bottle. When held upside down it does not leak. Being sold for decorative. This Mary Gregory perfume bottle measures 4 3/4" tall by 3" wide. The mold blown green glass bottle measures 2 7/8" tall by 3" wide. The bottle is a fresh estate find that is in good condition. Although dirty, and does not have any chips, cracks, or damage. The atomizer, however, is damaged. It is missing the bulb. It is also dented and misshapen where the bulb fits into the metal top. The white enameling is hand painted. And features a young Victorian boy walking in the landscape, carrying a flower. It has a large Ivory colored flower with a large Aurora Borealis coated jewel in the center and little pink sparkling beads shooting off from that. This all sits atop a gold filigree metal topper and pump. The glass bottle has a unique triangle shape where the top and bottom are at different angles. This bottle is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks or repairs. The flower is in excellent condition as well with all beads in tact and no issues to the metal or the top. O XFORD J EWEL Up For Bid | Vtg 1930's Czech Ingrid Malachite Glass Perfume Bottle_ Height 2.5" Width 1.5" at its widest point Mark"Czecho-slovakia" Weight 37 grams Material Glass. Brass_ This piece is unique for the design of the glass which is made to simulate carved Malachite. The cap is original to the piece. It has its original glass dauber, and screws on and off securely. The detailed floral design is on the front and back of the bottle and the glass has a pretty combination of green colors. There is a small chip to the tip of one of the floral petals and there is a larger chip at the very bottom of the bottle(which you can see in one of the photos clearly) but both chips are noticeable only on close inspection. The glass still has a nice sheen with little surface wear. There is some darkening to the brass cap ... moreat its base but it still has a nice patina. Overall this is a charming and colorful, Malachite glass perfume bottle, that was made in Czechoslovakia during the late 1930's that is in very good condition. The topper fits nicely atop the atomizer and doesn't have any missing or dented components. The atomizer pumps up and down as it should. But I didn't want to test it as there is a little bit of left over perfume at the bottom of the bottle. There is wear to the gold paint along the edges of the bottle, some thinning and spots where it has come off completely, the gold paint is 70% intact still. There are no chips or surface wear to the glass bottle. The bottles are in fantastic quality. The bottom is unameked. The bottles have a very idyllic, exotic and antiquated feel to them. They are measure 4 3/4" tall and 3 1/2" wide. The two bottles are in very good condition except for that one stopper has on the part that goes inside hair lines. 1.00 7103. Antique / Vintage ETCHED GLASS FLOWER Perfume Bottle Atomizer ? DeVilbiss
Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a beautiful etched glass perfume bottle. It is etched front and back with what I think is a thistle flower. There is a lot of detail to this frosted etching and the bottle is heavy for it's size. The silver tone collar and atomizer are in excellent condition. No dents or damage that I can see. The bulb is soft and I did not replace it. I think a more colorful bulb would accent it better but I am low on bulbs right now. The bulb it has is a very pale blue. The internal metal syphon tube is intact. No chips or cracks noted to the glass bottle. I really can't find anything wrong with it at all! The bottle is empty and the glass is nice& clear- all clean inside and out. Shine a little sunlight through it and it really brings out the etchings. ... moreIt is 4 1/2 inches tall to the top of the atomizer. The base is 2 1/2 inches across at it's widest. I do wonder if it is a DeVilbiss bottle but I don't find any stamps or maker's marks. It would also seem to fit in the 1920- 1930's era. If anyone knows drop me an email. And millefiori all along the branches around the sides. It measures 3 7/8" high, and 3 1/4" across at widest. It is in excellent condition with no chips, or cracks.
