Victorian Hand Painted Art Glass Cologne Perfume Dresser Bottle Ruffle Stopper
Lovely Victorian Hand Painted Art Glass Cologne Decanter/ Perfume Bottle with Matching Ruffle Rim Stopper. This is a lovely cologne/ decanter/ bottle. The glass is white milk glass which has a matt satin finish on the outside. It stands 9 3/4" tall with stopper in place and bottle is 6 1/4" tall. The stopper is really great with deep scalloped ruffle that folds up and down. There is the tiniest nick on one rim edge of stopper which is shown in photo#5. More felt than seen unless looking with magnifier and a few rough spots on the bottom end. No nicks or chips to the bottle, normal imperfections found with old hand blown glass. Photos show all detail well. The bottle is decorated with lovely floral of warm earthy colors with gold gilt accent. The bottom has blue enameling that shades from light to dark. It has accent beading around ... morethe stopper top and bottle neck is decorated as well. The back is not decorated. Each piece has the same enameled number which was common for early Victorian glass to keep matching fitted parts in order. Very nice condition for a bottle more than 100 years old, c.1870-1890. Up for auction is a very nice heart or oval shaped Scent bottle or Perfume bottle. There are no chips or cracks and the stopper/glass rod is in perfect condition. The only condition issues are some corrosion on the metal band on the neck(this could be cleaned but I will leave that to the buyer) and some very minor paint loss on the face where the flowers are hand painted on. Antique Victorian hand blown gilded glass tear catcher or perfume bottle
This is a mid-Victorian. Hand blown glass bottle. Bottles in this shape were sometimes used for perfume and sometimes for mourning as a tear catcher or lachrymatory bottle. It's said that a widow would collect her tears in the bottle and empty them on the grave of her husband on the anniversary of his death. This bottle measures 5" and. Remarkably, still has its original stopper. It retains almost all of its gilding on the top, bottom, sides, and stopper, though it has rubbed off in some places from being handled. The sides are etched with crosses for grip. No chips or cracks.

This auction is for a beautiful and rare Victorian tear catcher. The pictures don't do justice to the beautiful color. When you hold it up to the light. The blue color is nothing short of awesome looking. Many people collect tear catchers. Which aren't that plentiful because being made of glass, many of them have broken. Their history from the Civil War era is steeped in romanticism. When a soldier left to go to war. He would give his wife or girlfriend a tear catcher, which she would fill with her tears to show how much she missed him upon his safe return. Gorgeous Victorian Opaline Glass-2 Perfume Bottles and A Trinket Box Here you have a pair of Victorian Opaline Glass vanity/dresser or barber bottles. Hand painted and embossed with roses. They are absolutely gorgeous and very very old! See condition description above and examine pictures carefully. One is more rounded and squat. While the other is taller with a raised twirled design under the blue and gold painting. They are not marked or signed. The smooth bottle measures approx 7 1/4 inches high without stopper. 10 inches high with stopper, and 6 1/4 inches across. The raised design, taller bottle is 7 3/4 inches tall without the stopper, 11 inches tall with the stopper and its about 6 1/4 inches across. The trinket box is embossed with gold on its raised design on its rounded corners. It's 2 1/4 inches tall and 5 inches square.

Pair Antique Late Victorian Milk Glass Hand Painted Dresser Bottles Butler Bros?
ELEGANT PAIR OF LATE VICTORIAN HAND PAINTED ANTIQUE WHITE MILK GLASS COLOGNE DRESSER BOTTLES OR“DECANTERS. ORIGINAL HOLLOW GLASS STOPPERS. Likely Butler Brothers. GREAT FOR THE COLLECTOR and AS A GIFT. or FOR YOURSELF. ENJOY THEM. These are hand painted with a raised or embossed decoration and stoppers. The bottles are 7 ½” high from base to lip. 9 ½” high with the stoppers, and about 6” in diameter at their widest. Each stopper is 4” long. The painting on the embossed decoration around the bottom area of the bottles and stoppers is a bit worn but still visible. The shoulders have lovely very small dainty hand painted flowers which resemble violets. There are no chips, cracks or nicks on either bottle. The stoppers have a bit of roughness at the tips or pontils but this is part of the production process. I did find one area of one ... morebottle that has a small faint discoloration from the inside. It is probably from some cologne or other liquid that may have been left to dry inside the bottle. It can probably be removed with a thorough cleaning beyond the rinse which I gave it. I have indicated the area with a“sticky marker. It is very difficult to see in the photos otherwise. These bottles have been in our family for about 100+ years. I did some research and wonder if they date from the late 1800’s or very early 1900’s and are possibly Butler Brothers bottles. I did not find any“makers marks. The research I have done on Butler Brothers products would suggest that these cologne bottles would not carry a“makers mark. Victorian Bristol Glass Enameled Perfume Cologne Bottle Hand Painted w Stopper
Fresh from an upstate New York estate! This offering is for a Victorian(ca. 1890's) Bristol Glass perfume or cologne bottle. This lovely bottle and stopper is hand blown and crafted with a frosted glass finish. It features hand painted enamel decoration in orange. Blue, white and gilt. The bottle measures 8" tall with the stopper in place and 6 1/4" without the stopper with a diameter of 3 1/8" at the base. This lovely early bottle has some irregularities from the hand blown process including a small run in the glass on one side. The neck and lip of the bottle is slightly irregular as well with some elongated bubbles within the glass and a small smooth divot on the underside of the rim. These simply attest to the original early nature and construction f the piece and do not affect it's function or beauty. Note the evidence ... moreof the hand blowing process with the broken pontil marks on the end of the hollow blown stopper and base of the perfume.
