Item Description While starting bids may vary I ALWAYS POST WITH NO RESERVE! Up for auction is a Cobalt Blue Glass Perfume Bottle. It is the"double ended" style with 2 compartments& capped at either end. The hinged cap side opens and closes as it should. It has a spring to open the lid when you push the small button on the front. Inside the lid it has the"retractable" glass that gives when you close the bottle so that the bottle is sealed. The hingedlid side does have hallmarks but they are very worn and I am unable to make them out. I tried my best to take a photo& have posted the best one I could get. The other end is a screw on lid and the original cork is still inside the lid. Neither side has a stopper but I don't think it ever had stoppers since each side already has a way to keep the bottle adequately ... moresealed. No dents or damage to either lid. There are no cracks. Chips or repairs to the bottle- only a couple pin prick sized nibbles but you'll never notice them or see them in the photos. This botttle is in excellent antique condition! Antique perfume bottle glass or crystal lower section and a sterling silver screw type lid/top. The glass section has no cracks. Chips discoloring or defects at all, the top sterling piece has three hallmarks, i sell very little perfume bottles not enough to know about hallmarks, one is suppose to tell you where made, the year etc. I will take close up pics for you. Victorian Perfume Bottle Silver And Glass With Ornate Cap Hallmarks
This is a very beautiful Victorian/Edwardian glass and silver perfume bottle with ornate silver work. This bottle is in good condition. The lid snaps into place and the hinge works well. There are No chips or cracks in the glass bottle. The silver work on the bottom is not symmetrical. There are two hallmarks in the silver decorative area on the neck of the piece. But they are tiny and I can't find them in my research. You can see them under a microscope but I can't capture them with my camera. I believe this is an old. Rare bottle but I'm no expert.
