A stunning vintage perfume or scent bottle made from beautifully cut crystal topped with English sterling silver hallmarked for Birmingham 1922. The makers mark is also present for the well renowned silversmith. James Deakin& Sons- John& William Deakin. The screw top is mounted with the most gorgeous lilac coloured guilloche enamel showcasing the exquisite engine turning below, any white spots you see are simply reflections. LOVE these old perfume bottles! These are all old. Vintage, antique bottles- top four all have rhinestones, jewels. First one has pink stones, all but the bottom two have filigree metal, second is a bit taller than the rest, the only one that was actually used-still smells-it has beautiful blue jewels, third has ruby red rhinestones, and the last is green glass with green jewels. These all have glass daubers attached too. Bottom row, these did not come with daubers. The large red jewel looks like a Leo Popper glass cabochon to me.the guilloche enamel is very sweet. They are all in very good condition. Didn't see any major issues, any stones missing either. The ruby red dauber is a little loose can feel it move around a bit, just thought I should mention it. Works securely and very tight Weight 21 grams Material Alloy. Enamel_ This piece is unique for its shape and size as well as the prettily colored guilloche enameling. The bottle has a slightly puffy shape but it is still pretty slim. The bottle is a substantial metal but doesn't test positive for silver or gold content and has a brassy/coppery patina. The enamel is a salmon pink. Pink with a touch of orange, and has blue painted flowers on the front and is plain at the back. There is wear to the blue painted flowers, one flower is completely missing, and there is some wear to the leaves as well- I would guess that the painted flowers is 70% intact. There is a little bit of wear, ... morethinning and tiny chips, to the pink enameling but it is very modest and noticeable mainly on close inspection. The pink enamel is 95% intact on both the front and back of the piece. The metal has some discoloration and age but still has a nice patina. There are no dents or dings to the shape of the bottle. Overall this is a uniquely designed and charming, guilloche enamel laydown perfume bottle, that is from the 1910's- 20's that is in good condition. The bottle has very nice cut edges but it was a made from a mold as I can see the mold marks up at the rim. You will see the mold marks at 3& 9 o'clock in one of the photos. There are no makers marks. The glass is in excellent condition with only a few pin prick sized nips to a couple of the edges. I could not get them to photograph and you will be hard pressed to find them. The stopper is stamped sterling and has a yellow guilloche top with a single rose in the center. Very pretty and the guilloche is all intact with no defects that I can see. The bottle is clean and the glass is clear. The bottom of the stopper has a large chip. 3 1/4" inches from tip to bottom of this amazing edwardian antique guilloche perfume bottle with spring action sprayer on top is totally perfect and beautiful. guilloche is a particular style of enamel with a amazing ripple effect in the background. This perfume dispenser is an amazing color of peach pink salmon and has a decorative edging around it made into the brass body. I was only able to find one little teeny prick in the enamel which is on the rose right upper side a little teeny black blackspot. You probably will not be able to see this the only way you can see it is looking extremely closely as I do when I examine my product to make sure my customers are not mislead. On closer examination but little is probably just part of the design. I do try to be perfectly honest about anything I sell. Massachusetts, between 1920-1939 as this is the only period this company was in business. The bottle is wheel cut with pretty floral designs with a star cut on the underside. The glass is nice and clear without any damage. The stopper/ dipper is intact and is 3 1/2" in total length. The cap is a lovely pale pink enamel guilloche featuring a flower and leaf design.
