Germany, Floral w/ Gold Gilt& Exquisite Flower Top Pre-owned and in beautiful condition This DeVilbiss perfume atomizer is exquisite Estimated early 1950’s and made in Western Germany The bottom has two small labels one reads“DeVilbiss 750-61” and“Made in Western Germany” Hand painted floral pattern in pink and rose colors with gold gilt leaves and stems. The bottle’s base color is white and silky smooth; I believe this to be porcelain. The top is a gorgeous flower; most of these were brass with possible gold gilt coating. By the look of the top it appears this is that type. But I cannot confirm that. The atomizer measures 4 inches in height and the diameter is 4 inches. The top unscrews and smells of perfume. This very nice bottle measures almost 3" with the cover on. About 11/16" diameter. Piece is in very nice condition. There is a little grind mark on the bottom, but it does not detract at all from the piece. Cover is perfect, it is gold in color. We're not sure of the metal, could be sterling. Early sterling did have a brassy look. Could be brass, or the unthinkable, low carat gold. We have no way of knowing. It is, however, very attractive.
