This has a very heavy silver overlay which you can feel on the inside of the top lip and where it has worn through on the bottom. The bottle is completely covered in silver and hand etched with flowers and what looks like a g. This is in very good condition except where the bottom has worn through and has not been polished but will shine up beautifully if desired. This is approximately 5" across x 3 1/2" tall. It did not come with a stopper. The opening is approximately 5/8" The bottom of the bottle is hollow ground which leads me to believe that the bottle was hand blown. Please see pic's for condition. It is very unique in its shape and size. ... moreI believe it is called 8 lobe or clove shape. The overlay is done in a draping floral pattern. The only marks I could find are on the outer rim. They are sterling and 151 I believe. Overall the bottle is in good to great shape. It does not appear to be missing any overlay. There are no repairs. Breaks, chips, or fleabites I could find. There is a couple dings to the sterling on the top but nothing major. It comes with what I believe is the original matching stopper. I wish I could say the condition was the same as the bottle but I can't. It appears to have been dropped a long time ago. There is a tiny corner of overlay missing that is small enough you can barely notice. I say dropped because the base of the stopper has a fairly good size chip all the way up. The edges are smooth leading me to believe it is old damage. It did not affect the beauty end of it though. It measures just under 6 1/2" tall with the stopper in and just under 4 3/4" without. The stopper itself measures about 2 5/8" long. Overall, even with the chipped stopper, it still displays beautifully and would make a great addition to anyone's collection. I am in no way an expert and try to describe things the best I can. Everything I sell is sold in as is condition as it was found. Please look at all pics for a better description. As I buy things to resell from different places. I cannot guarantee them to be from a pet/smoke free home. If you have any questions please feel free to ask before you bid. Antique French Opaline Bristol Glass Enamel Perfume Bottle Decanters & Open Dish
This mid to late 19th century 3 piece vanity dresser set is either French Opaline or English Bristol Glass. The matching pair of perfume bottle decanters are elegantly topped with branch like stoppers. Both the stoppers and the bottoms are numbered. The accompanying open dish(also numbered) is hand painted with enamel flowers in the same motif as the perfume decanters. All have smooth pontil. The colors are in soft. Muted tones with gold accents. The perfume bottles measure 9 inches high with the open dish measuring 3 inches high and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. There are some condition issues to be noted. One of the branches on one bottle is broken as pictured and the other stopper has a slight break on one of the branches which is hardly noticeable. I don't think this detracts from the overall beauty of the decanters at all. But you can ... morejudge for yourself from the pictures. The gold rim is rubbed on the top of one of the decanters. There also seems to be some enamel loss on the rim around one of them. This is also pictured. There is some gilt rub on the open dish, as well. 2 Avon silver Glass Candle Stick Holder Perfume Bottle Decanters w/out ori box
This item is a Vintage Avon Used two silver glass candle stick holder perfume bottle without original box. They so have some perfume in each bottle; one is almost full and the other is halfway full. This item is in good condition with some to it wear. one has a couple of small marks on the top of the base and the other has some wear to the bottom of the base. It looks like some one used them as actual candle stick holders. The stickers of the candle holders are missing and rubbed of by someone. But other then that their in great condition. It is also about three inches in wide and about eight inches in height. It does weight about 12.8 oz alone. It does need to go to a new home and added to another collection.
