It measures 5 3/4" high without the stopper and 7 1/2" with the stopper in the bottle. The diameter of the stopper is approximately 2" The gilt metal on the neck has a design of small circles that go completely around the neck and also on the base. Beautiful white opaline with a bluish cast. The stopper is original and is undamaged and the end is free of chips. The bottle itself is in excellent condition with no damage. I would say this is a French bottle. Vintage but difficult to date exactly most likely early 19th century 1930's. Here is a rare. Victorian era,Eglonise French Blue Opaline perfume or cologne bottle. It has a band of enamel hand painted white flowers highlighted in gold gilt. The top has a ground neck and is flutted at its rim. There is a pontil mark on the bottom showing it was hand blown. It measures10" tall and is in mint condition. It displays to great advantage.

This is a rare and highly collectible French Green Opaline blown dresser bottle with beautiful hand enameling and gold gilding. This dresser bottle was purchased by a family member in France in the late 1800s and has been in the family since. The glass house is unknown. This piece is from a vast family collection of antique glass and collectibles belonging to an estate of items which spans well over 200 years. Enjoyed by a family with a passion for collecting art glass primarily and then passed these treasures down through the generations. The pictures of this item being sold are of the actual item. In addition the exact description, place and year purchased will be described if the information is available. This item has been preserved in a well maintained environment for display purposes only. This piece is in pristine condition and is ... moreoriginal and not a reproduction. This is a remarkable piece of green opaline blown glass; which during my research I have found to be the rarest of colors of this type of glass. The glass is thick but translucent with a beautiful sheen to it. This piece is referenced as a“dresser bottle” in the notes and inventory of the original collectors. But as time went on, in notes that followed it was also referred to as a bud vase. The dresser bottle measures 6 ½” tall with a long neck. The mouth of the bottle/vase is wider measuring 1 ½” about in width. I believe that the mouth being wider than the neck adds beauty and an unusual styling to the artistry of this blown piece. The base of the bottle measures 2” wide. The pontil is polished. The bulbous portion of the bottle is adorned with pink and cream tulips(I believe) surrounded by green ribbon and leaves. The gold gilding is the ribbon uniting the tulips and greenery and is outlined in cream enamel. When the gold gilding is examined closely under magnification it appears that pieces of crystal glass have been applied to the gold gilding- which adds dimension and extra beauty to an already amazing piece. The bottle is footed.

Up for your consideration is this 1890's Antique French Blue Opaline perfume bottle.It is hand blown and hand painted with a white enamel painted design with gold trim.It measures 4 3/4; inch's and with the top on 6 3/ inch's.This Royal Blue Victorian bottle is simple yet very elegant.You can see were it was hand blown on the base and it has a number 34.The stopper also has a number of 24.Condition:The top has a few flea bites on the interior of the rim and there is a small chip on the outside bottle rim.There is some very minor gold wear and two black dots that were blown into the glass when made.It sounds like a lot but it isn't. NR OPALINE PALAIS ROYALE FRENCH PERFUME SCENT BOTTLE CASKET PORCELAIN PORTRAITS
You are bidding on a very beautiful green French opaline scent/perfume bottle with four different porcelain portraits. I am not an expert in this field. But from what I have seen, this appears to be from the Palais Royale era, mid 1800's, and sold as one of the many souvenirs. I have seen similar ormolu scent bottles with various scenes of Paris's architectural highlights such as the Place Vendome, Arc de Triomphe, Louvre, etc. though very few with portraits. Dimensions are 7" high to the top of the finial and just slightly under 4" in diameter at the bulbous widest point. In excellent display condition, there is some verdigris and darkening of the ormolu that has blackened and consistent with its age. A warm patination overall covers the ormolu and has burnished it to a deep rich gold. One of the portraits of the young ... moremaiden has a slight bend in the cartouche(picture 8) that I note for accuracy. I also noticed within the open mouth of the bottle, there is a crease that I can't tell if it is a crease or a hairline from in-the-making, which I have shown in photo 9. No chips or repairs. The four portraits on the bottle are gorgeous. One cherubic child in prayer. That could definitely pass as a putti if you added wings, the second, a darling choir boy in purple cloak and white collared blouse, a little girl with hands clasped to her chest and revered expression. The fourth portrait is a young maiden reading her letter she has just penned. The colors are vibrant and clear and appears to be on porcelain that is hard and shiny. The intricate design of the metal ormolu is like lace on the bottle. The base, has a sturdy beading connecting the four feet that are delicately scrolled. The clear apple green of the opaline is so pretty that you want to bite into it like a green apple. You know this is an early piece because you can see the pontil on its base. picture 14) The piece de resistance however. Is the oriental magistrate, who is smoking a hookah, as a finial, with scalloped beading on its rim.

Antique French Opaline Perfume or Cologne Bottle, Souvenir Painting in Lid
This lovely old French opaline perfume or cologne bottle covered in perforated lattice ormolu. Is in very nice condition considering the age and delicate nature of the item. It's a mid to late 1800s Paris souvenir item for Grand Tour travelers. Set into the cap and protected under glass is a small painting of a palace. There is a small chip in the glass but it is on the underside because the top is smooth. There is no moisture damage and the picture is clear. Raised on a 1 1/4" diameter brass ormolu plinth, the oval body of the perfume flask, bottle is 3" tall. The bottle is 4 3/4" high in total. The base is etched in beautiful floral sprays. The handles have small female figures on them. The lid opens and closes easily. The top is slightly dented. The entire lid is unglued and comes off from the base. C1850 French Opaline Baccarat Perfume, white & blue, enameled, 8", ground pontil
Description: this is a rare and fine example of a perfume flask fabricated in white opaline glass with a contrasting cerulean torus at the waist and a pointed. Flared stopper. The body of the flask is bell-shaped with a wide pillow rim above the foot; it is encircled in a lively band of Florentine scrolls in yellow, interspersed with small multicolored flowers. This ornate hand-enameled decoration is further enriched with gold. The neck of the flask widens into a crenellated edge finished in gold. There are six simple gold-painted bands around the body and waist. The blue stopper is almost pagoda-like; on a long stem which protrudes from the neck of the flask, it umbrellas the rim and ends in nine points, again divided and finished in gold. Its upper surface is textured as satin glass. Size: 8" high. Including original stopper, with ... morea full diameter of 4" approx. Condition: very good. There are no breaks and no significant chips that I can find. The stopper has a tiny nick on the underside which I have tried to show in the photos by positioning that point against the book. On the upper surface there is a shaving which shows as a shiny spot; other spots appear to be rubbed. Or may not have etched well at the factory. I think it most likely that the apex tip was ground. The base of the body is very smooth, showing the grind marks of leveling the pontil. There are no identifying marks and no signature. The enameled frieze is in good shape but there does exist some small loss to the gold bands. It is particularly difficult to tell if there is much scratching because of the inherent tiny bubbles in the opaline glass. I have found no nicks to the rim and consider it to be very sharp and well-cut. I have owned this piece for many years and have never seen another alike. Though recently I did come across a similar example, all in blue. Should you wish to take a look at it, it is offered online and should be easy to search. If not, by all means e-mail me for details. Antique French Opaline Bristol Glass Enamel Perfume Bottle Decanters & Open Dish
This mid to late 19th century 3 piece vanity dresser set is either French Opaline or English Bristol Glass. The matching pair of perfume bottle decanters are elegantly topped with branch like stoppers. Both the stoppers and the bottoms are numbered. The accompanying open dish(also numbered) is hand painted with enamel flowers in the same motif as the perfume decanters. All have smooth pontil. The colors are in soft. Muted tones with gold accents. The perfume bottles measure 9 inches high with the open dish measuring 3 inches high and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. There are some condition issues to be noted. One of the branches on one bottle is broken as pictured and the other stopper has a slight break on one of the branches which is hardly noticeable. I don't think this detracts from the overall beauty of the decanters at all. But you can ... morejudge for yourself from the pictures. The gold rim is rubbed on the top of one of the decanters. There also seems to be some enamel loss on the rim around one of them. This is also pictured. There is some gilt rub on the open dish, as well. Antique Pair French White Opaline & Bronze Perfume Bottles Scenes On Caps
Antique pair of white opaline perfume bottles with filigree ormolu overlay and mounting. They stand 4 3/4" tall. And the base is 2 1/2" across. They have scenes on the tops under glass of french buildings. One has some lilac color bleeding from under the glass. There is also one tiny nick to the edge of the glass. No cracks to either. One has a glass stopper that I can not remove. The other perfume is missing its stopper. The attached hinged tops close but are off balance(uneven) There is filigree around the neck, body, and base. One has a tiny raised bubble that is smooth to the touch and has no crack. It might have been done in the making. I would date them to around the 1860's. They are beautifully decorated in spite of their flaws. Thanks for viewing.

French opaline Napoleon Third perfume bottle!
This is a gorgeous perfume bottle I bought many years ago. I didn't realise for a long time it originally had a stopper(most likely) as it shows very well as it is. It is in perfect condition, hand-decorated with white floral designs highlighted in gold. It stands 4" high, so is quite impressive. I actually used it a time or two as a bud vase! I left the 30-year-old price tag of $225 on it, I think I paid $200, but it's been in a drawer for a couple of years now, so time to find it a good home. I'll settle for my money back. Enjoy! It has a thickly painted golden design that surrounds the bottle. The gold painted vines. Leaves& stems are very much intact. I really can't find any loss to the paintings. The hardware is secure and in good condition, no real damage, just wear from age. Most of the gold to the metal collar has been rubbed away to reveal a slightly more copper coloring. The atomizer is in excellent and this is the style that takes a bulb with cord. The internal glass syphon tube is intact. No chips, cracks or repairs noted. All the hardware is secure to the bottle.
