From a local estate- Beautiful c1890 Silver Perfume or Scent bottle with repousse Art Nouveau floral design. The hallmarks are very tiny and difficult to read- 2 at the bottom edge and one on the lid or cap near the hinge(see last two photos) I believe they are French. The bottle contains its original tiny ground glass stopper and has a ring on the back for attaching to a chatelaine. Heavy for its size- will not easily dent. Weighs 18.8 grams. Measures 2 3/8 tall. Has a gold vermeil or gold wash inside the cap and stopper area. The bottle is in very good condition with few signs of wear. I found a few tiny dents- nothing that detracts or is easily noticed. I guarantee it to be silver and not plated. The last two photos have a yellowish tint but that is just the way the light reflects and NOT there in real life. A pair of antique French opaque gray art glass perfume/scent bottles. From the base to the top of the stopper they measure 8-7/8" tall. Enameled white dot trim on stopper as well as gold accent. Hand painted design on each bottle is absolutely beautiful. Raised enamel on the petals and leaves. Beautiful detail on the butterflies. These bottles are in good condition with no cracks in the glass. There is a very tiny chip on one of the stopper at the very top where the white accent dots are placed. Very slight wear to some of the gold trim at the edges. These imperfections do not take way from the beauty of these pieces. They are really lovely antique collectibles! No maker's mark. Art Deco French Sterling Silver Guilloche Enamel Crystal Perfume Cologne Bottle
Description Art Deco French sterling silver mounted cut crystal cologne/perfume bottle decorated with blue guilloche enamel. Unique wheel cut fluted pattern to the crystal body. Finished by a deeply cut 16-point starburst to the base. Mounted with a sterling silver threaded collar and screw on lid that opensto reveal a cut glass stopper beneath. Topped by an elegant and stylish engraved monogram of initials FL encircled by a blue guilloche enamel border. Measures 4 1/2" in height. 2 1/2" x 1 3/4" at the base. Bearing marks of the French Minerve 1st hallmark used in Paris since 1838. Which depicts the head of the goddess Minerva with a number 1 beside her to denote a silver content of.950/1000. That's 95% pure silver and a higher grade of finesse than the standard.925 sterling. This lovely piece measures 2 3/4" high by 2" at its widest point. There is no stopper with the bottle and I can't tell if it originally came with one. There are no chips or cracks; I did find under a magnifying glass a very tiny rough spot on one of the sides. Antique Art Nouveau Deco 950 Sterling Silver French Cut Glass Perfume Bottle This is a large antique perfume bottle with a high quality silver content lid of 950. The bottle measures 6" tall(with cap) and is in excellent condition with no"flea bites" at the rim. Or indications of use, it is clean. The cap with frosted glass stopper weighs 74.1 grams. The silver top fits securely, but not too snug, the stopper has some chips, the rim of the cap is wavy, it has some minor dings and scratches, mostly surface scratches commensurate with infrequent cleaning. Overall, this piece is really pretty and well crafted, which is evident in the high grade materials, cut glass and 950 silver. Vintage Art Deco French Hand Panel Cut Vanity Bottle Set of 4 Chromed Metal Lids
Gorgeous hand cut panel crystal vanity set. These are unsigned pieces with absolutely stunning panel cuts from France. Chrome plated lids with spun brass base metal. Mold blown and hand cut jars. The grooves for the short cream jar and tall perfume are also hand cut. No chips or chiggers but does a flea bite or two-I did not find any damage without using a magnifying glass-Super clean glass looks unused or very well kept. The short jar measures 2 1/2 across and 1 5/8 height with lid. The tall perfume measures 1 3/8 across and a little over 6 1/2 height. The chrome lids do have some rubbed areas and the entire set needs to be washed. The middle tall jar lid does not sit all the way down on the neck collar and could be due to the fact that the cork in the lids are either gone or needs to be replaced. The glass is pale blue with applied white threading. My thought was that it was made in one of the Stourbridge factories in England but since the silver fittings are French that seems like the more likely option. The bottle has a raised swirl shape. It is 7 1/2" high overall. 5 1/2" to the collar and about 4 1/4" across. There are no markings. The silver collar has the maker's mark for the Leon Baujois( factory(1877-1899) It is also ... moremarked"Made in France Sterling" with the French sterling mark. A rare and fabulous antique LENTHERIC BACCARAT CRYSTAL PERFUME BOTTLE FLACON. First launched in 1924 for the scent"MIRACLE" It is SIGNED on the base in acid-stamped letters"Made in France" The bottle itself was called"floating gold" was designed by Georges Dumoulin and made by BACCARAT in France. It came in three sizes: 5 7/8" h, 4 1/2" h, and 3 1/8" h(bottle& glass stopper) This is the 4 1/2" high size. The beautiful Miracle scent still emanates from the interior when the stopper is removed. One reason for the rarity of this deluxe bottle is because this bottle required a special process to make. Which was difficult and expensive. This led to Lentheric changing to a clear& frosted half-column bottle made by Brosse in 1936. This black glass bottle has curved. Lobed sides in the form ... moreof an elegant skirt, graced with an abstract gold dust pattern. The pattern on each of these bottles made by Baccarat is unique and different from the next. There is a gilt brass collar around the neck of the bottle, a perfectly fitting ground& polished black glass stopper, and a genuine BAKELITE stopper cover imbedded with"gold dust" all original to the bottle. The condition is excellent and impeccable in every way. Except for a small flake on the underside of the beveled base edge(see photo) This mar measures about 3mm across, and cannot be seen at all when the bottle is standing. An interesting side-light is that the Lentheric"Miracle" scent held in this bottle was inspired by a pantomime"The Miracle" staged by Max Reinhardt and starring Lady Diana Manners in 1911. I have seen this same bottle in advertisements for other Lentheric scents Le Matin Au Bois. And Au Fil De L'eau. This is a book piece. Seen in books covering the history of major perfume and scent bottles. In addition, its image can be seen in advertising from magazines of that time period. Gorgeous Multicolor French Art Nouveau Marny Perfume Bottle Ca. 1924 Mkd RLB
This is a gorgeous multicolor French Marny perfume bottle ca. 1924. The design appears Art Nouveau to me though the age is close to the Art Deco era. Pictures very well show the condition of the bottle. The bottle is marked Marny. France, and the maker whose mark is the letters R L inside a B. I could only find one reference showing the Marny name and it gave a date of 1924. The design is about as beautiful and grand as I've ever seen in a perfume bottle. The bottle just recently turned up and does not have the bulb or the upper gold plated screw down attachment. This isn't surprising as most of the fancy rubber bulbs cracked from hardening over the years and were thrown away. I don't believe it would be hard to find a newer replacement though an older one might take some looking. The bottle is 6 3/4" high and the base is ... more2 1/4" in diameter. There is a little old perfume residue in the bottom of the bottle that can be seen in a picture. I've looked the bottle over and there are no chips, nicks or cracks in the glass. The design stands out beautifully without any noticeable fading of vivid colors. I do not see any scratches or scrapes in the design. Also the tiny beaded dots are all there unblemished. This is a near antique bottle and it's in wonderful condition though a little natural aging to the glass may show as these were not bought at the store new yesterday. This piece would have been around in the Roaring 1920s, gangster& bootlegging times. There are no bubbles or broken bubbles anywhere in the glass that I noticed. Actually think the glass is awfully nice. The gold plated top of the bottle shows some discoloration inside as seen in a picture. Upon closer examination this dark area is actually the underlying metal where the gold plating has worn off over the years from screwing/unscrewing the bulb attached mechanism. VINTAGE ART DECO FRENCH MINATURE PERFUME BOTTLE SILVER ORNATE CASE W/TURQUOISE
This small bottle is 1 3/8" x 7/8" and weighs 9.8 grams it is made of glass with a silver plated floral design casing. There is silver loss on one side of the bottle I have taken close up pictures in different lighting to show the loss. The bottle is stamped made in France on the bottom. The top of the bottle has a turquoise bead wrapped in filigree and the dabber is made of blown glass. There are no chips. Cracks. scratches or flea bites on the glass of the bottle including the dabber. The bottle screws on evenly and is secure enough to fill will perfume and put in your purse the flower and diamond shaped filigree is bonded on the bottle in a way that protects the glass from breaking. Vtg 1920s RIGAUD Un Air Embaume NUDES ON SIDE French Art Glass Perfume Bottle
I have up for sale a beautiful vintage circa 1930s or there abouts Art Deco/ Art Moderne RIGAUD art glass Perfume bottle featuring molded NUDES on the sides of the bottle. The bottle stands approx 3-3/4" to the top of the frosted glass stopper. The bottle was for UN AIR EMBAUME Sachet Powder. Not a liquid. I believe the label to be manufactured by G. Millot. Evidently Un Air Embaume was solely distributed by George Borgfeldt& Co- an importer out of New York. I have seen the bottle attributed to Lalique but recently ran across a webpage which stated the bottles were produced by DARRAS GLASSWORKS Bresle Valley France. Un Air Embaume was first presented in 1915 and was Rigaud's most widely acclaimed line of perfume. The bottle is in Excellent Condition- No Damages! The glass stopper is stuck and I did not try to remove it- will ... morelet you do as you wish. It appears to contain most of the powder. It shows a faceted boule cap on the black bottle. With a metal decrative band. It is with a box in green shagreen design. This was designed for the French parfum Nuit de Noel by Caron. It has the silver band. In very nice condition, with some etch marks on the bottom of the black glass bottle that I cannot make out. It is probably a Baccarat number. The stopper is tight, and I have not tried to remove it. The box show bits of wear, but has kept the bottle in very clean unworn condition. This is the smaller bottle and box. French Art Nouveau Era Art Glass Perfume Bottle
This offering is for two beautiful scent bottles that were produced in France during the end of the Art Nouveau period. I have seen identical bottles described as having been produced by Rene Lalique. This is simply incorrect. Nevertheless. These exquisite bottles certainly could have been produced by one of the numerous competitors of Rene Lalique. The size of the bottles are 4 ¼” high, with a circumference of approximately 8 ¾” at the widest portion. The bottles have a frosted base, a decorative garland/band of clear and frosted flowers and foliage, and a tapered top of curved intersecting lines. The tapered stopper carries out the vertically striped design. The bottles still have their“Made in France” paper labels on the bases. The bottles are in perfect condition.
