Mother of pearl, wood, faux tortoise shell, and i believe inlaid silver. it is extremely detailed and very well made. the carved bone tuners move to tighten and loosen strings as a regular size mandolin would. and it even has a great wooden bridge which holds the strings. the shaft is very detailed and made from bone. Very high quality costume pearl jewellery of unknown vintage comprising two necklaces and a pair of earrings all in 925 silver gilt(gold overlay) with some crystal or paste spacers. First necklace is 16 inches in length. Comprising a single row of 10mm costume pearls with an uneven finish. Knots between each pearl. Fancy fastener with half-pearl cabochon. Gilt fastener is stamped METAL so, apologies, this necklace is probably not silver-gilt. Second necklace is comprised of similar size pearls to the first- maybe a tad smaller- with the two central pearls being larger and having crystal or paste spacer beads set between. You are viewing an authentic retro Jewelry Set that includes a choker style necklace and drop dead gorgeous dangle earrings. The necklace is adjustable from 15" up to 18" and is a whopping 1" wide. The earrings are clip style that measure 1" wide by 1 1/2" long. As you can see in the pictures the necklace and earrings feature rows of red and blue crystals separated by a row of faux pearls with a continuous border of rhinestones. The rhinestones are set in a four prong seting for security while each crystal and pearl is attached by an individual ring for free movement. The necklace is completed with a clear crystal and large faux pearl at the end of the adjustment chain. NO MISSING STONES! These items will come to you in what I believe to be the original Hobe box. Vintage Antique Gold Tn Art Deco? Faux Pearl Flower/Leaf Dress/Scarf Shoe? Clip
This is a really neat old vintage. Antique, I believe gold tone and faux pearl dress or scarf clip. It could be a shoe clip, but I don't really think it is. It has a flower shape at the top(there is a small silver tone sesame seed sized spot on it) with three leaves extending down from that, or up, depending on how you look at it. Under the leaves, there are 5 rods with tear drop shaped faux pearls at the ends. These must be on some kind of wire because a couple of the pearls are sort of crooked. I was scared I might break something if I tried to straighten them. It is in good shape, but does show some vintage wear/patina. It measures a little over 1 3/4 inches by about 1 1/8 inch wide at widest point. Check out my other items. This piece is double marked Coro– or marked Coro twice A script mark is on the gold tone metal below the pin An additional Coro mark with Pegasus horse to the side of Coro script inside of a square appears at the base of the pin I am not an expert in vintage jewelry. But in reviewing information on line, I believe this dates this piece to 1945. With all of the various components the pin has five separate stepped layers– gold tone decorative edged frame.
