He wrote the book"The bamboo rod& how to build it" and here is one of his rods. And its a dandy. This rod is hexagonal and in exceptional, original condition with both tips. I think its had a reel on it. but if it was fished. I don't think so! This rod came to me from an estate of a non bamboo rod maker, its one of 9 different bamboo rods he aquired over the years. The butt section. Midsection, and one tip measure 30 11/16" The other tip is 30 10/16" all sections are very uniform. The stripping guide is red agate. There are no repairs of any kind anywhere on this rod. The cork is superb and very clean as seen in pictures. a high grade of cork as well. The varnish{finish} is in very good condition. It looks like walnut wood at the reel seat. All the metal pieces on this rod are shiny, clean, and show no corrosion, ... moreincluding the guides and tips. The ferrules are tight and the guides are tight. The wrappings are very nice with the acception of a tiny issue at the butt section ferrule as seen in pictures. Overall this rod is very"sweet. This is a LIKE NEW condition Steinway Professional Studio Upright. It is excellent condition both inside and out. There has been almost no wear on any of the parts. This piano is a very desirable model. It is in Walnut. PLEASE NOTE: I was not able to get a true color representation from the photos. The piano has a very nice shade of walnut finish. Much closer to the photo of the bench. The camera automatically used it's flash but I was able to bring the bench into a lit area so the camera's flash did not go off and it is the true color of the piano. The style is contemporary. Gitane Tour de France Bought new July 1. 1971. Seat tube measures 48cn center-to-center; 19-5/8" center-to-top; standover height measures 29.5" ground to cable on top tube. Great original condition. The chrome is excellent on the frame. Looks good as new. The original owner had coated the chrome ends with motor oil before storage. Paint is very good. I see two damaged areas on the bike- see the last two pics. The left side down tube stickers are damaged. And the paint was damaged while wrenching the seat post fastener. Also, Simplex tag missing from rear derailleur. The original cables are intact. With their peculiar ribbed casings. Rims are perfectly straight. Chainrings very good. No doubt, a low mileage bicycle. I replaced the bar tape with vinyl that closely resembles the original. I couldn't save the original bar-end plugs. ... moreThey were hard as rocks. The Dissoplast expanding rubber plugs are available on Ebay/ Ebay France. These were white. I cleaned the bike from one end to the other. I'll leave it to you to polish it. Ready to ride. Outside of needing the tires glued on. Has Vittoria Rally's, near new. I took it down the street once, unfortunately way too small for me, or it would be a keeper. Nitro'Shogun 160 cm. tip/waist/tail 296/252/296. Radius 9.0-8.0. This board is in excellent condition. One chip of note on the topsheet( pictured) it is not deep.Glossy black topsheet shows scratches scuffs and binding marks. Sidewalls are excellent. Metal edges show no knicks. I polished them with a gummi stone and gave them a light tune with a diamond stone, they did not need much attention. Base is excellent. A few light scuffs no gouges. I gave it a cleaning wax with Swix base prep, looks great, but should be waxed before use. I bought this used a few years ago.It looked like it may have been ridden once. Nicely made case made by TKL(Made in Canada) I don't know what model Alvarez guitar this is for, but it does more or less fit a Gibson Les Paul(guitar not included in the auction) The case is in excellent working and cosmetic condition. It has a few minor marks from being in a closet with other guitar cases. All 4 latches, hinges and handle are in good working order. The handle is similar to those found on the brown Gibson USA cases. It has a nice green interior with a compartment. The case has a slightly arched top. AMP Research B3 rear shock with Titanium Spring The Ti sprung shocks for the B3 are pretty rare. The spring alone weighs in at 85 grams and the complete shock is 245 grams. This was from a 1996 B3 model and has the spring loaded pressure piston feature. This shock also has a spacer that allows you to run a 100mm travel fork without changing the frames geometry and affecting handling. The spacer can be removed if you prefer to run a stock travel fork. Shock fluid was recently changed and bled. The only defect this shock has can be seen in the picture of the top spring retainer. One of the tips is broken off and has been smoothed out with a file. This does not effect any function and is only cosmetic. Spring may also be used on your shock body. Very Fine Old 3/4 Antique European Cello Circa 1870 In Excellent Playing Cond.
This very fine antique 3/4 size European cello is a remarkably well preserved instrument in superb playing condition which is quite rare to find in this size for it must surely have been made for a very fine young player. It has powerfully centered bass sonority and sweetly pentrating top notes. It is very easy to play and is the ideal instument for any young prodigy who deserves to play on a fine old instrument with the characteristics of a much larger full size cello. Though it is unlabeled. It is clearly the work of a fine maker and has all the characteristics and finess of other fine handcrafted cellos of the mid to late 19th century. The wood is beautifully flamed and matched. The varnish a rich deep honey golden color. The interesting dark markings in the wood of the neck and scroll were interior growth patterns of the wood which have ... moredarkened with age. I have been assured by my violin makerg(who was familiar with them on other fine instruments) that they are in no way detrimental to the structure and strength of the wood. They are in fact characteristics of 19th century woods from a number of European regions. Cinelli RAM handlebar in excellent condition 420mm x 120mm This is a fantastic bar/stem combo. It is light. Extremely comfortable, and good-looking. I love this bar/stem but I needed a different size, so I bought the same model and am selling this one. The top of the handlebar is nicely shaped carbon and much more comfortable than some other bar/stems I have used. Also, the brake routing is internal so it keeps the whole bar smooth& good-looking. This bar has no scratches or damage that I could see. And weighs 399g on my scale. It is the anatomic bend, not the VRC bend. By the way I had wondered before buying this exactly how they measure the stem length, so I've included a photo that shows about where the 12cm distance falls on the bar.
